Let’s compare and contrast shall we:

The North has been in power since the end of Biafra war yet the region is still one of the most impoverished regions in Africa talk less Nigeria.
The West has been in power, not as long as north, but they have tasted power yet apart from Lagos, there is nothing proactive in that region.
SS recently got GEJ and even though GEJ been in power for over a year, he hasn't improved nor done anything for SS.

To put in words, getting power would not change anything as long as we have someone running the country in the background. When North had the power, what did they gain? When SW had the power what did they gain? Now that SS is in power, what are we gaining?

The reality is, power or no power, nothing would change for that region. The only people that would benefit are the Igbo politicians simple as that. Plus, that taste of power does nothing but create desperate politicians whom will sweat blood or do anything, even endanger their own people, just to regain that power when lost. Yes I agree, SE is marginalized but SE is also improving, has less poverty than the region that tasted power for years, etc. You guys obtained this without tasting power...There's no guarantee that SE will get everything they wish once a SE or even SS Igbo obtain power and I'm analyzing this based on past president and their region. IMHO, I think SE should focus on what they are already doing right now.

The presidency issue imho is something Igbo people should forget. Rather than trying to join this desperate act of fighting for power like we see with ACN and North, instead focus that attention in other proactive part for our people (i.e: creating more jobs for the college graduates, building roads, schools, hospital, decreasing poverty like they are doing right now, increasing female and male literacy, pretty much focusing on improving the life of the ordinary Igbo person). Whether we like it or not, presidency or no presidency, Nigeria is a f.u.cked up country with no chance of ever improving. Notice how GEJ have taken the blame of Nigeria ever lasting problem which was created because he got into power. If and I repeat IF an Igbo man joins, just like GEJ, he would also take the blame of everything already wrong with Nigeria. Rather than wasting time on trying to get power in that country's situation, use that same aggression on something proactive. Shikena!!! Leave the power desperation fight for the north and ACN and I guess PDP as well (so far I have not seen PDP join in the desperation act).
