HARDDON: 2. Positive Mentality:
Instead of seeing the cup half empty, see it as half full. Instead of thinking he is coming home late because he went to see some side Chick, think "maybe he is stuck In hold up.
Instead of always trying to chop off his head because he didn't do something right, see it as a perfect partnership where the short comings of one is quickly absorbed by the other.
3. Working on the Mind as it relates to God and prayers for your union and all
4. Developing the mind with books on the difference between being single and been married. Friends, family and mentors in marriage.
5. Working on the mind as it relates to finances. NO, what is his isn't only for the Fam and what is yours, yours. It is a partnership. Everyone must have everything in common.
And a host of others, but the bottom line is, Knowledge and marriage wisdom don't jump on people from outa space. They must be acquired through good books from people who have made impact in their marriages, vids and the guidance of the Holy Spirit!
Life is in the mind ( spiritual). You can't apply physical approach to it. I think you make very valid points, but your points relate to things you believe women should do when they get married, but the OP is suggesting things to work on before. Take for instance, your point about thinking all men are dogs, if you consider the point about making a list of things that are important in your future partner and you don't feel like you've been forced into the marriage, then you'll be with someone you respect, trust and love (if that's what's important to you). Some people aren't comfortable in their own space (time they could be using to read, learn something new), so they want you to do everything with them. Bottom line is I think both your lists work hand in hand. |

oyb: this is the future
the days of child trafficking for domestic chores are drawing to a close. paid help are expensive and dangerous [potential kidnappers/child molesters]
only the most selfish / self centered man will watch while his woman runs herself to death juggling career and housework
the earlier we learn to share domestic chores the better
in the same vein, women must understand that they will also share bills. otherwise, all bets are off. Absolutely. My husband and I got this worked out perfectly. |

Daeylar: This is beyond disgusting. Her virginity is her business , she is above 18, she does with her body as she pleases. It disgusts me when I see men(or anyone really) trying to act as if they own the female body (either their daughters or sisters or wives or andom women) However even if the girl is below 18, this is still disgusting. She has sole ownership of her body. Even as an adult, smear tests are so embarrassing. |

kingkakaone: Most baby mamas actually dated their baby daddy until the relationships didn't work out.
Now...how's that for my opinion? What most of us don't understand is that opinions differs and our understanding of an issue is not the only way the issue is.
People think their opinions are the best until they become a victim of what they usually condemn.
By then they will change their tone. God bless you. When their tone change they stop generalising. |

CecyAdrian: They always want women they can control, who will look the other way when they cheat. Men are scared of women who dare. Who ask questions and try to behave like them, they term such women as bad women who shouldn't be married But that's not what being married is about tho. |
Romance › Re: My Experience With A Single Mother I wanted to marry. by Only1mi(f): 11:35am On Jun 03, 2018 |
1x2x3:
she's with me because I'm very cool headed and introverted. There has been occasions I needed to just travel just change environment but she would object as long as she isn't chanced to go with me and I respect her decision. This is the very first time I objected about her traveling and she boldly told me she will go and face the consequences. That's not a woman being under a man, it's a woman giving orders but won't take any. Dude you're still going on about being under a man. You both need to learn to communicate. If you're speaking to your partner it shouldn't be about whose taking or giving the orders, but about making decisions you both agree on. Your approach could be the problem. Just think about it. |

1x2x3: Its a sleepless night for me and I'm yet to dilute what unfolded. I just wish she could pretend forever and be nice but this is life where the truth must surely reveal itself at some point.
The person I saw in her recently is too mean and brutal to be under a man. God help anyone that falls into her trap. What's your obsession with a woman being under a man. A woman is meant to be by the side of her man, putting heads together, making investments together and reaping together. The mentally you have will send you to the woman you don't need. |

mrhansome12: communication can work wonders but sometimes you find it difficult to convince the religious folks to be open even in marriage many of them still see sex as sin, getting married to such person can be frustrating because he or she will not satisfy you and see no reason to. It's only for procreation abi. |
Celebrities › Re: Iheoma Nnadi To Take Adenike Balogun, Her Wedding Planner To Court by Only1mi(f): 8:31pm On May 31, 2018 |
zicoraads: No, she doesn't!
And what is it with a lot of you talking about 'her wahala?'
Weddings are special days in the lives of those who enter into marriages. And if you mess up mine, you had better be ready to pay for it. Especially if you were paid a huge sum to make sure that things don't go south.
Besides, the wedding planner should have quietly called her and taken the corrections that her client noticed in her wedding. This can only end badly for the wedding planner. This is bad PR. It's interesting that a lot of people think she should let it go. Once, I ordered something based on the reviews I read about the product, when I received it ehn, it was terrible. I left a poor review, the company I bought it from wanted to pay me to remove the review so people wouldn't know it was rubbish. People want her to keep quiet and continue delivering poor service while charging extortionate prices. Nah. |

Mrbehave: You can not call a man of 28yrs a kid. May be a novice in relationship since she is my first love. Your age has nothing to do with your maturity. You lost interest in the relationship because of what other people told you. If you aren't man enough to make decisions then you certainly shouldn't be getting married. |
Education › Re: U.K Exam Question: "The Advance-Fee Fraud Is Also Known As Nigerian Fraud" by Only1mi(f): 11:46pm On May 23, 2018 |
grossintel: That's true, but sentiments aside, they can't prove that advance fee fraud originated from Nigeria, infact fraud like this should have existed even before Nigeria became a country. Can any country boldly mention America for mass shooting? Hell no! But you can mention Nigeria as you like and call us all sort of names and no one will press charges. Just because of Facebook data leak, every company in the world is adjusting their user policies. But if Facebook was a Nigerian company, the American government will shut it down. This whole thing isn't about fraud anymore. Absolutely right. But America is mentioned for mass shooting, as UK is for knife crimes. |

grossintel: Who else thinks these questions are way too easy. BTW, the lecturer is a racist. What's the fuzz about Nigerian scams that are hardly successful? Russia should be on that list for pulling the most successful hacks in the world and stealing billions of dollars yearly. And American should be on that list for Mass shooting. Sentiments aside, you do realise what the origin of 419 is abi. If its a legal exam, it's an acceptable question, seeing as 419 is the Nigerian criminal code for fraud. |

uzedo1: @op, apparently I think you can. But it depends on how your hair grows fast..
If your hair grows fast, it will help cover the front so it won't cause traction alopecia (the loss of edges for your hair).
Secondly, you need to buy hair products to help the hair, because it's not everytime you will wash the hair, probably once in 2weeks.
Thirdly, once your hair is full, like in 2/3weeks time, try using your hand with foam to lock your hair and see how it looks like. You can envisage if the dreadlocks will be good one you..
My 2cents.. I totally agree with you. The first few months of starting your locs are the hardest. |
