I think you make very valid points, but your points relate to things you believe women should do when they get married, but the OP is suggesting things to work on before.

Take for instance, your point about thinking all men are dogs, if you consider the point about making a list of things that are important in your future partner and you don't feel like you've been forced into the marriage, then you'll be with someone you respect, trust and love (if that's what's important to you).

Some people aren't comfortable in their own space (time they could be using to read, learn something new), so they want you to do everything with them.

Bottom line is I think both your lists work hand in hand.
