Why is it always so difficult for APGA chairmen to leave office? I know that Nigerian politicians love to sit tight, but APGA chairmen seems to raise this sit tight syndrome to a new level. Chekwas Okorie was there; he rubbed superglue on his .a.ss and sat down; defeated every move to remove him, until the party was almost destroyed. Victor Umeh came on board and has practically wrecked that party by glueing himself to the chairman seat with some substance stronger than superglue! That party is almost dead now, because honestly I can't see any sensible person that would stick to such party. Too much selfishness and greed has killed the party. Tufiakwa. |
ndu_chucks: You are a fool for implying that a whole region is BH.mumuHehehe! ![]() Now, you know how it feels to be cornered, like Ojukwu was cornered in 1966 after you guys had completed THREE organized mass murders of Igbo/Eastern Nigerians in the North. The Igbo nation was baying for independence. Ojukwu would have been killed or toppled by mass Igbo revolution in the East if he didn't declare Biafra. Well, he did, and your brother Murtala Muhammed (notice that I did not mention Gowon) responded with more killings of Igbo during the war proper. Now, you have Boko Haram. I dare you to either secede or invite war. BTW you will not smell Nigeria's presidency for long. So, tell your brothers to calm down and wait. Just like you expected Ojukwu and Easterners to calm down and wait. Dalu o. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: Please explain to me what you mean by "failed state" and give me an example of one or two failed states you know of. The worst thing that will happen if we don't make bold moves to arrest this BH problem is all out war, and that state is worse than any failed state you can come up with. No, my friend ndu_chucks, the worst thing that can happen is to allow murderers to continue killing unarmed Nigerians. War would be BY FAR a better option than to allow mass murderers overawe the nation. War was declared against barely armed Eastern Nigeria, and 2 million people starved to death as part of war policy. Maybe it is time to declare all out war in Northern Nigeria. Nigeria should win, like she won against Biafra. What do you say about that? lol ![]() |
BTW are there other cave men running, apart from Buhari, that is. lol |
If you want to go back to stone age, then vote Buhari. We are in 21st century for ikoro's sakes! |
ndu_chucks: Give it up, OP's story is 2 years old. olodoIf I were you I would be praying fervently that they accept the offer (if and when made). There is no way you people will win this game. I have it on good authority that 2015 presidency is already in the bag. ![]() So, tell your brothers to stop killing Nigerians unnecessarily. ![]() |
Good. At least now it can be withdrawn formally. The committee has only TWO weeks to complete its recommendations. That time-line should never be extended even for ONE day. |
All council members should contact the Eze ASAP. I know that some of you visit Nairaland more than your email accounts. We need to take a decision over a crucial matter ASAP. Dalu nu. ![]() |
naptu2: 1) Some posters said that this could only happen in Nigeria. They gave examples of other nations that are fighting terrorists. I have given examples from the UK, The Republic of Ireland, Afghanistan and Pakistan to show that it is not a uniquely Nigerian solution to the problem, neither is it a strange solution (even the americans held discussions with the Taliban). No my friend, the more things change in Nigeria, the more they remain the same. I think that is what the guy was alluding to. Go and count the number of MASSOB corpses fished out of the the Ezu River in Anambra state. Mind you MASSOB is UNARMED. Now, why on earth should a Nigerian government give amnesty to an ARMED group? I will tell you why. It is because Nigerians see peaceful agitations as a form of weakness. That is why your government (encouraged by you) is giving amnesty to armed mass murderers. |
Nwanne this thread is really unnecessary. In all honesty I hope those guys don't allow history to repeat again. They must be STRONG in their positions. Merely being in the position is not enough. ![]() |
pazienza: I was agreeing and nodding my head, when i was going tru ur post, until the very last sentence.Nwanne I always enjoy you comments. Dalu biko. ![]() |
There are tonnes of reasons why an amnesty to Boko Haram is a bad idea. There are political, moral/ethical, spiritual, strategic, cultural, and even religious reasons why such an amnesty would seal the fate of the Nigerian nation. The ramifications are too diverse to even discuss here. The most important of them is that the president has basically abdicated his job as the Commander in Chief, whose job is to defend Nigerians using the armed forces of the nation. Short of an IMMEDIATE serious denial from the presidency over this ill-advised move, the president may have sealed his name in history. I always advice my friends (Ndigbo mainly) to always look at themselves as their enemy looks at them. Step into your enemy's shoes and look at yourself Mr President. I bet you that they do not see a "good man". They see a weak man. Nigeria can never be led by a weak president because of the very nature of the Nigerian nation. It is trite to say that you will lose the most important support you would need to even complete your term. Your enemies may have cornered you badly. And they did so because you failed to be strong ab initio. Well, I wish you good luck. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: The faceless and supposedly outraged military chiefs are cowards and unfit to be military chiefs. You don't go around acting like politicians when you are supposed to be professional soldiers. As soon as they are identified, they should be relieved of their offices and possibly court marshaled. Their wings must be cut before they start believing that they can fly.Let me tell you something I suspect you don't know about. I've been ignoring your usual insults on those of us who abhor mass murder, those who condemn killing of innocent Nigerians with impunity. You call us "effeminate" and "emotional". I call you WEAK and FOOLISH. You know why I call you those? The strongest army in the middle East (the mighty Israeli army) ALWAYS go out of their way (ALWAYS) to avoid killing Palestinians unnecessarily, even when they can do so with total impunity. You know why they do that? Israel understands the role of GOD in human affairs. No matter how strong an army is, that army can never win a war against an opponent supported by God. TRUE STRENGTH is found NOT in killing defenseless people, but in SAVING them. Strength is found in defending the weak, not the strong. A truly strong man fights STRONG enemy, not weak ones. You are a very weak man my friend, and you know it! ![]() As for the army officers, well, they can do whatever, but they must never forget that they swore an oath to defend the rest of Nigerians against all enemies killing them wantonly in their own country. That is their only job -to keep the citizens safe. |
This might be it for me, as far as supporting Jonathan is concerned. If this amnesty to mass murderers proves true, and he goes through with it, I will stop supporting him. I am a Christian, and God FROWNS SERIOUSLY at killing of innocent people, and sweeping such matters under the carpet. He wiped out big nations like Babylon (and will continue to do so in the future) just because of such things. Who will pay for the blood of MILLIONS of innocents who died since Nigeria became a nation? The more this question goes unanswered, the more certain Nigeria's destiny with destruction becomes. No nation makes it without God's approval. Oya amnesty committee over to you. If I were you, I would wash my hands and feet off this one! ![]() |
I would listen to the military service chiefs if I were Jonathan. It is an indirect insult on them that the same murderous gang that killed many of their own is allowed to walked away, probably with payments sef. The more Nigeria wobbles along, the more obvious the flawed foundation, and the more likely the future will be settled by extreme violence. But come on, who gave the president this advice? I honestly think that whoever gave the president this advice must be the greatest enemy of Nigeria. |
ndu_chucks: My people (aka MEND) will never bomb Abuja. (GEJ on national TV after Okhar and co bombed Abuja). We now know better. ![]() What can I say? lol BTW aboki, please remove Igbo from your gworo mouth. Dalu so. ![]() |
Dudu_Negro: how is NNO going? where is your defense minister to defend massob position on this war thingy? He has already spoken in this thread. What I know for sure as an average Igbo man is that Ndigbo will never lose any other war in Nigeria, EVER again. This is one thing I can say with certainty, and there are many reasons for that. MASSOB is MASSOB. Their leader speaks for them. If Igbo (for whatever reasons ) decide to fight any war again in Nigeria, that will mark the end of Nigeria. Every other points are irrelevant to this central point. I'm out of this thread. |
Dudu_Negro: onlytruth, there wa no gps in 67. gps abound all over the place....make sure Massob know the difference between North and Ore.Oh no, not you again! ![]() |
Eko Ile: Get over yourself already. Mocking your usual ill advised desires for foolish wars and dumb adventures has nothing to do with stopping anything.Babapupa what are you doing in this thread? Are you from the North? What are you afraid of this time. ![]() |
Well said Anyaoku. |
I will also add that anytime there seems to be ANY form of rapport or unity between SE and SS (Igbo and non-Igbo alike), the SW goes into a strange PANIC mode. SWers do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to stop it: you name it, they will do it, even to the extent of masquerading as a SS person. And you would also ALWAYS see them milling around any thread that discusses such topic, and try their best to poison it and create disunity. There must be something dangerous to the survival of SW by SE/SS unity in Nigeria. There has to be. That is really pathetic. |
One_Naira: you are deltan? This is why I continue to say the people claiming SS on this forum and speaking for the entire region are usually a wannabe SSThanks bro. The guy thinks we are all blind and cannot see. What is shameful is how people claim where they do not come from, just to get at Ndigbo. From his very first post on this thread, I knew that there is NO WAY he is from "SS". BTW it is time you Igbo from SS speak out loud and clear against this focused attempt by losers to excise Igbo SS aboriginals. They have tried several times to equate SE with Igbo and SS with others, but the TRUTH is that Igbo are CENTRAL stakeholders in "SS" geopolitical zone. No amount of wishful thinking can change that. I know for a fact that Igbo are more in number in SS than Annang, or Bini, or Ishan. The only SS ethnic group that can equal Igbo in number is Urhobo and maybe Ibibio. All the lies will be settled and corrected at the appropriate time. ![]() |
c.fours:My friend I don't think you reason well. Please don't take offense. I'll give you an analogy. There is a country of animals -made up of MANY different animals -lions, tigers, pigs, goat, eagles, etc. It just happened that by accident of history, the pig connived to capture power, and set out to design the nation according to its world-view. Lion, goats, tigers, eagles, all were forced to view the world from the pigs perspective. The lion abandoned its games of catching and eating other animals in the open grasslands of the savana; same with the tiger;the eagle cannot build its nest on the tree tops; the goat abandoned eating grass too. All were forced to dwell in the mud and scavenge from there, like the pig. Occasionally, the eagle would "escape" and go "abroad" to win laurels for the "animal nation"; but it still has to return there and dwell in the mud, else, it would be accused of arrogance and haughtiness and pride. As "one nation", all animals must necessarily roll around in the mud/cesspit as a way to ensure that each never singles itself out for censure by "the center" (an alliance of animals at home with the pig's ideology). Is there any amount of external laurels that would enable the eagle to create an appropriate "eagles nest" inside the mud? Not on the watch of the pig overlord of course! Every good thing must begin and end in the mud, according to the pig. The eagle's natural dwelling place -its nest- is on TOP OF THE TALLEST TREES, but it would be ganged up on and connived against if it dares to escape the mud for a proper tree top. The last time it tried, the gang up almost exterminated it. But one thing the eagle knows for sure is that the pig will not rule for ever, at least not a unified "animal nation". One of these days, the pig will be forced to accept to never rule again, or the animal nation will divide. The eagle knows this because its natural habit is to fly as high as possible to view the future. It is the animal with the longest foresight. ![]() |
"O mighty Caesar! Dost thou lie so low? Are all thy conquests, glories, triumphs, spoils, Shrunk to this little measure? Fare thee well." -Mark Anthony at Caesar's funeral Nigeria pre- 1966 was GREAT. TRULY GREAT. ![]() I will keep saying that Nigeria needs an Igbo president now, perhaps more than at any other time in her history. I will add that it is more in the interest of Nigeria, than that of Ndigbo. Nigeria is lying so low because we have failed to see the TRUE power of that nation. Put an Igbo man in aso rock, and I promise you that the whole of Africa will feel like human beings throughout the term of his office. It was until Achebe wrote the African story that the world came to know that Africa had a story to tell. Before Achebe, the world thought of Africa as "the heart of darkness", with no culture, literature, or philosophy. Of course all that has since changed after 1958 publication of "Things fall apart". Beg Igbo to take over in 2015 or 2019, and you will be proud again to be called a Nigerian! ![]() Please don't take this the wrong way. Swallow your prides and call on Ndigbo to lead us all out of this seeming perpetual darkness and endless humiliation. |
Nigeria is gradually drawing near to her manifest destiny with history. I don't see how Jega can be replaced now with another Northerner or any other Nigerian without cries of bias ringing out. I would advice Jonathan to leave him, but have plans B, C and D for him in case he plays any games. |
EzeUche: Do you see ungrateful these people are even when we supported their son?Honestly, some of these guys should wait until after Jonathan, to be reminded of their true clout in Nigeria. One of the reasons I stopped supporting secession is because I see ants using Nigerian state positions to oppress giants in Nigeria. We Ndigbo have absolutely nothing to fear in Nigeria's continued unity even if Ijawland is 'ra.ped to stone ages due to oil pollution; wetin concern us? We must never allow ants to oppress us in Nigeria. So, we stay and help them to stone ages. ![]() |
All the links provided by this Ijaw fool even shows that every place he refers to in Bonny and Opodo has Igbo heritage and even language. The more he argues, the more he exposes the truth (though injuring himself in the process, lol. ). Gone are the days when we will remove our eyes from our southern borders, only to be stabbed by ingrates. |
