*Why we raided Diplomatic Suite Hotel in Abuja - NDLEA*

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have raided and sealed Diplomatic Suite Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja in a joint operation with men of the Department of State Services, DSS to stop a cannabis party and the launch of a suspected new psychoactive drink.

About 200 attendees including three young ladies who organised the hemp party are currently being profiled and interviewed while bottles of the new drink have been taken for lab analysis.

The hotel was raided at about 8:18pm on Wednesday 20th April following actionable intelligence that some youths were planning to hold a hemp party at the hotel. Quantities of cannabis sativa were recovered from the pockets and bags of those arrested at the hemp party.

Press Release: Arrest Of Suspected Armed Robbers On Lekki-Ajah Expressway..

Luck ran out on a group of suspected armed robbers terrorising the Ajah area of Lagos State on Thursday April 14, 2022 at about 1240hrs at the Ajah underbridge.

The Anti-Crime patrol team attached to Ajah Divisional Police Headquaters, Ajah, Lagos, while on routine patrol, intercepted a silver-coloured Honda City vehicle with registration number GGE 288 GV with three occupants namely Emeka George 'm' 30yrs, Ahmed Balogun 'm' 23yrs and Bolaji Elewuro 29yrs.

In an exhibition of conscientiousness, the operatives on reasonable suspicion conducted a courteous search on the occupants of the vehicle and in the process recovered 1 locally made pistol with 3 live cartridges.

Nigerian Televangelist Abducted By Gunmen, Demand N100 Million Ransom.

John Okoriko, 74, was kidnapped at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the headquarters of the church at Ibekwe Akpanya in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state.

Gunmen have kidnapped an Akwa Ibom-based televangelist, John Okoriko.
The gunmen kidnapped the cleric on Tuesday evening when they invaded the headquarters of the church in his village, Ibekwe Akpanya in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state
Mr Okoriko is the president and founder of the Solid Rock Kingdom Church.

ALHAJI OWOEYE THE NOTORIOUS LAND GRABBER CAUSES MAYHEM IN LAGOS

A suspected notorious land grabber in Lagos State, Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye, has landed in trouble for allegedly causing havoc by attacking innocent people and destroying properties at a parcel of land located at Ijegun and Isheri Oshun communities belonging to the Fagbile family, which was sold to some people to develop.

Naomi Sophy Blog reports that Owoeye recruited armed thugs led by their gang leaders, Kayode  Johnson Shodeide a.k.a Ikoko, Nasiru Ibrahim a.k.a Otunba, Ibrahim Deway, Muri Jorsto and others, went to the place with machetes, charms and other dangerous weapons and attacked the land owners, injured many and destroyed properties worth millions of Naira before they took possession of their land by brute force.

Owoeye’s camp is now in disarray following the information that spread in the area that the security agents comprising the Nigeria Police, DSS, NIA etc have started manhunt for Owoeye and his gang over the alleged land grabbing, attacks and destruction of properties in the area.

The attention of the Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to an alleged rape video purportedly depicting students of Chrisland School Lagos, going viral on social media.


The Command has commenced investigations into the matter with a view to establishing the identities of the players in the video, the true incident in the video, the geographical location of the incident, the alleged threat to life against a student of the school and circumstances surrounding the alleged repeated pregnancy tests conducted on a student without parental consent.

The Command is equally taking cognizance of the cybercrime angle to the whole episode and would not hesitate to enlist the support of the Interpol should the need arise. For a holistic and unbiased investigation, the Command shall be working with relevant ministries, departments, agencies and non-governmental organizations.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc has assured that due diligence will be observed to ensure that there is no miscarriage of justice.

It will be recalled that a viral video was posted on Instagram by Ubi Franklin showing a helpless mother pleading that her daughter's rape case at Chrisland Schools Lagos, be attended to by the authorities.

NDLEA intercepts Cocaine consignments at Port Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos airports, arrests 7 traffickers

Desperate attempts by Brazil based drug cartels to smuggle large consignments of Cocaine into Nigeria through three major international airports in Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos have been foiled by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, who arrested seven traffickers.

At the Port Harcourt International Airport, five suspects were arrested on Saturday 9th April. Three of them were arrested during the inward screening of passengers on board Qatar Airline flight QR1433 from Doha to Port Harcourt. The three suspects departed Sao Paulo, Brazil on board same Qatar flight, en-route Doha to Abuja and Port Harcourt with a total of 24.96 kilograms of cocaine.

Lady dumps husband who sponsored her trip to Dubai and relocates to UK.

A Nigerian lady, Obehi Blessing has reportedly dumped her husband, Chris Ojikere and abandoned their marriage plans after he sent her to Dubai.

One Imosenebo Alfred, a friend who shared the story on Facebook, said the man sponsored his wife’s Dubai trip with the intention of joining her later for them to raise their family.

Blessing is said to have relocated to UK from Dubai and stopped calling Chris whom she has been married to for less than a year.

The post reads; ”A dear friend of Mine MR CHRIS OJIEKERE needs help. He sponsored his wife to Dubai, that he will join her later for them to raise a family but the wife MRS OBEHI BLESSING dumped him and relocated to UK from there!

Iconic highlife musician, Orlando Julius, has passed on.

The ‘A dara, a dara’ singer, among many other acclaimed songs, died hours ago at the age of 79, Phenomenal Lagos said.
The passage was relayed by his widow, Latoya Aduke, through music promoter and Evergreen Music boss, Bimbo Esho.

Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack:FG to reveal those behind the attack — Gen Bashir Magashi.

The Federal Government said yesterday it would soon unveil the identities of those behind the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna bound train.
The government also blamed the unfortunate incident on what it described as unholy handshake between Boko Haram and bandits operating within the area.

It said that although security agencies were still working hard to unveil the group behind the attack, preliminary report showed that the criminal groups were collaborating, urging Nigerians to also collaborate with government to smoke them out.
Recall that Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State had revealed that the attack on the train was carried out by Boko Haram terrorists, working in collaboration with some bandits operating in Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto Niger, and Kebbi states

677 drug traffickers jailed, 3,359 arrested, 65,915.891kg seized in Q1

As the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, intensifies the war against illicit drug trafficking and abuse across Nigeria, no less than Six Hundred and Seventy Seven (677) traffickers have been convicted and sentenced to various jail terms between January and March 2022, with a total of Three Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Nine (3,359) arrests and 65,915.891 kilograms of assorted drugs seized within the same period.

No fewer than Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty Three (2,223) drug users were also counselled through brief interventions and rehabilitated in NDLEA facilities across the country in the first quarter of the year; figures that represent a fair balance between the Agencys drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction activities.

NDLEA intercepts 101 parcels of Cocaine in Children duvets at Lagos airport*

. Seizes drugged Milo beverage in Edo; skunk in detergent containers at Enugu airport

No less than 101 parcels of Cocaine concealed in eight children duvets have been intercepted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos.

The illicit drug was brought into the country by a 52-year-old Brazilian returnee, Akudirinwa Hilary Uchenna who hails from Oru East Local Government area of Imo state. He was arrested on Saturday 9th April at the D-Arrival Hall of the Lagos airport upon his return from Sao Paulo, Brazil via Doha aboard Qatar Airline flight, while the 101 parcels of the class A drug with a gross weight of 13.2 kilogram were recovered from his only check-in bag.

During preliminary interview, Uchenna who claimed to be a carpenter confessed that he was to be paid N5million for trafficking the drug after successfully delivering the consignment in Lagos.

EZENDIGBO EJIGBO, EZE NWOYE ENDORSES CHIEF MICHAEL DIJI FOR OHANAEZE LAGOS STATE PRESIDENT

The Presidential ambition of High Chief  Michael Diji for Ohanaeze leadership received a big boost at the weekend following the endorsement of the Ezendigbo of Ejigbo, Eze Alex Nwoye and members of his cabinet chiefs for the forthcoming election.

Reports has it that the endorsement took place at the palace of Eze Nwoye in Ejigbo, where Chief Diji and his entourage paid a courtsey visit to the traditional leader.

Bet9ja: Website Allegedly Hacked By Russian Blackcat group, Management Team Gives Statement On Criminal Cyber Attack.

The management of Bet9ja has revealed that its website has been hacked by the Russian Blackcat group.

This was disclosed by Bet9ja in a statement in which it identified the perpetrators as the Russian Blackcat group, who are famous for several attacks on huge companies around the world.

The gaming site said that the group has already demanded ransom but it insists it will not accept the conditions of the hacker group.

What they are saying

Part of the statement reads, “The entire Bet9ja system has been under attack by the Russian Blackcat group who are famous for several attacks to huge companies in the world. It is a huge hacker attack by this Russian group but our people are working from yesterday without stopping for a minute to restore all the services but it is not easy.

“They are asking for ransom already but we will never accept their conditions. it is important to let you know this so that we are all on the same page. They have hit us hard but of course they cannot kill us. We will stand our ground and come back even much more stronger.

On the 5/4/2022 at about 1430hrs, acting on credible information, operatives attached to the Command Raiders squad raided a suspected cultists hideout at Umudiake Quarters, Aningene Community Asaba in Oshimili South LGA, during which one Oaman Mathias ‘m’ 41yrs was arrested and one (1) English made pump action gun and thirty-three (33) live cartridges were recovered. Investigation is ongoing.
In another development, on the 5/4/2022 at about 1630hrs, a distress call was received by the DPO Ozoro Division, that some hoodlums numbering about seven, suspected to be armed robbers, were in a criminal hideout along Oleh road, Ozoro. The DPO Ozoro mobilized a combined team of police operatives and Vigilantes, who stormed their hideout and arrested one Solomon Awah Obaize ‘m’ age 18yrs and Oghenayoma Awah ‘m’ age 20yrs both of Oleh road, Ozoro in Isoko north LGA, while others escaped. One (1) locally made Berretta pistol was recovered from them. Investigation revealed that the suspects procured the gun from a man (Name unknown) in Igbide community, for one hundred and sixty thousand naira (N160, 000). Manhunt for the fleeing suspects is being intensified. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing.

IGP orders dismissal of nine policemen for planning strike.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the dismissal of nine police officers for allegedly spearheading a planned strike by members of the Nigeria Police Force over poor conditions of service.

Those affected are two Inspectors, five Sergeants and two Constables.
A police signal issued by the Commissioner of Police Provost, Force Headquarters, Abuja, said the men were dismissed from service following their orderly room trial for planning and coordinating a strike within the ranks and file of the police.
The offenders were said to have been identified and subsequently arrested after their phone calls were tracked.

Suspected female fraudster who specializes in swapping ATM cards by posing as bank staff at ATM points, Arrested by kano police.

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a suspected fraudster, Osasi Chinozom Juliet, who specialises in swapping people's ATM cards at ATM points. 
 
Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday April 4, said the suspect who was found in possession of 17 ATM cards of different banks, has been on the wanted list of the command for fraud-related cases.

 
"On 18/03/2022 at about 1730hrs, a team of Operation Puff Adder led by SP Daniel Itse Amah, Divisional Police Officer, Nassarawa Division while on surveillance patrol along Murtala Mohammed Way intercepted one Osasi Chinozom Juliet, 'f', 24 years old, of Enugu Road, Sabon Gari Kano," Kiyawa stated.

A husband who ran off after allegedly setting his UK-based wife alongside her brother ablaze in Lagos, just hours after her return, has been arrested.

Chinyere Ogudoro, a mother of four, who lives in Scotland with her children, returned to Nigeria alone on Thursday, March 31, and her brother picked her up from the airport and took her home.

Police arrest man with 126 anti aircraft bullets ‘meant to fight IPOB’

The suspect says he procured the ammunition for a Cross River Community fighting IPOB separatists.


The Borno State police command on Friday paraded a 28-year old man arrested while trying to transport a large cache of ammunition out of Maiduguri, the state capital.

The suspect, Clement Asuk, said he was helping to deliver the ammunition to a community in Cross River State, which he said is currently at war with fighters of the separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The police said the suspect was arrested at a popular Maiduguri motor park as he was about to exit the town with a heavy suitcase filled with high calibre bullets, including 126 anti-aircraft bullets.
It was the biggest interception of illegal military weapons of ballistic capability ever recorded in the history of the decade-old Boko Haram insurgency, police said.

Kyari Rejects Prison Food As Inmates Gets Excited By His presence

The embattled former Commander, Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari, has rejected food offered him by the Nigerian Correctional Service after being remanded in prison custody on Monday.
The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, opted for the food prepared by his wife or other family members.
