I created a new ID for this purpose not because I want to hide my identity from fellow forumite but from my siblings and a colleague and an ex-colleague who are aware of my membership and regular commenter here.

I work with a private company were corruption, back biting and witch hunting is the order of the day. Am not here to talk about the corruption aspect but the witch hunting and back biting. This happens if you don't belong to their clique.

If I told you I am angry and feel like exploding I won't be far from the truth.

Aside previous issues which I don't want to go into, it started towards the end of last month (November). I forwarded the soft copies of our salary schedule to the bank after the account department have gone to the bank with the cheque and hard copies for our November salary to be credited into our various accounts.

Over 24hours later, alert were not forth coming; of which payment due date was the same day the documents was sent to the bank. Our account officer was contacted and he said the bank was having network issues.


The next day, our accountant came to me and asked me to forward the soft copy to another receipiant saying the former receipiant was on leave. This I tried to do with the system but was unsuccessful due to bad network. Due to the urgency of the matter, I resorted to using my phone. I opened my sent folder and did the forwarding and it went on the first click.

I later left the office for breakfast. I was in the middle of it when my phones started buzzing. I was confused and alert on what could make 3different people be calling me at the same time. I decided to pick the most senior (position) persons own. He asked me to come to the office immediately that my immediate boss seeks my presence, this I oblige. I picked the next, she said same. I left my food for my colleague I went out with to bring it down to the office for me.

On getting to the office, I met the accountant at the entrance of my own office furious; she asked to know the month(salary) I forwarded to the bank. I don't understand I responded! Still furious, she told me I sent October instead of November. At this state I was confuse and was trying to confirm her assertion by checking my sent folder. She was still vibrating and saying all manners of things I can't remember. I kept her quite because I don't want to involve her in a show of shame and secondly she have a speech defect (stammerer). It got to a point her presence beside me and her noise became irritating. I shut her up; asking her to stop raising her voice on me and that I am not a kid. This actually worked because she kept quite and left for her office.

I was able to access my sent folder after countless refresh. Behold, it was actually October I sent . The head of management requested I print both October and November schedule for him. This I did. Maybe they went to the bank with it, I don't know.

A circular was released informing staff that a mistake was made in the schedule sent to the bank and will be rectified in December salary were credit or debit should be expected.

Minutes later, I was issued a query. Worthy of mention is that "I sent October salary schedule instead of November to the bank thereby causing embarrassment to staff and management and that I should explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against me for the serious mistake"

I replied thus "that I had diffulties using the system due to bad network and had to use my phone to forward the mail. Unknown to me that october schedule was the last item on the sent folder and I forwarded same without refreshing. And that I acknowledge my mistake and take responsibilities for the EMBARRASMENT my action has caused"

Just yesterday, the accountant called me asking if I have received a letter from my immediate boss, I told her no. She said OK and that I should expect one. And that I was being asked to pay for the over credit some staff got. She added that the head of management insisted on it even after she and my immediate boss kicked against it (washy).


Though am still expecting the letter, I was able to get access to my file and the comment reads "she take responsibilities for (as indicated in her last paragraph) so be it!

Hmmmmm, now, ladies and gentlemen, please analyse and tell me how to react upon receiving the letter.

Is their decision legal and morally right?

What action should I take.

The issue of rape has become so prevalent in our society that there's hardly a day that passes without a new rape case.

I don't know what's happening and I can't tell what is really wrong with people but I think the time for reasoning is here.

I know there is a law that protects rape victims but is there really a law that protects the falsely accused? Especially in a country like ours where the rich can always have their way?

Ever wondered why women scream rape anytime there's a fight and accuse the man of beating her up at the slightest provocation and starving her anytime they're caught cheating.?

It is because these two things always give them upper hand in most cases.

Now I am not trying to say there are no rapists out there. Many of them are roaming the streets looking for the next lady to jump on but there are some that were accused falsely and they are the ones I want to tell how to protect themselves in the future by following this steps because a significant number of false rape claims can be avoided by exercising caution and staying clear of situations where the likelihood of a false rape claim is enhanced.

1: Don't Date A Minor: I personally cannot date a girl who's less than 20. The reason is, it doesn't matter if you have been dating her for years, it doesn't matter if she's a queen in the jungle, once caught, her parents will be shouting you raped my daughter. The girl will not stand up for you. Her mother will ask her. "He raped you right"? She will not say NO, in other not to be beaten, she will nod head in affirmation and that signs you deal with the police.

2: Tell Your Parents About Your Relationship: If you're too young to let your parents or the girl's parents, or any of her relations to know what's going on between two of you then you're obviously too young to date.

3: Don't Drink To Stupor if you are taking a woman home: So that you will still have sense to stop If she says "No", at any time.
Women no longer play "hard to get." If an adult woman wants your sexual companionship, then she'll make it abundantly clear. If she does not, don't bother. If she says "NO", please buckle up and send her home even if the time is 1am or sleep in another room if her reason is genuine.

4: Don't Sleep With An Intoxicated Lady Unless You Have Been With Her For Long: If the woman is high or intoxicated, don't even try for sex.. Call her a cab or take her home and then leave.

5: Don't date an insecure and unstable woman: If you get any signs that the woman is insecure or unstable, end whatever you have with her as quickly as possible. Do not contact her again.

6: Don't Take a woman home for sex after a bad date without some receipts: Make certain that you are able to account for your time in the wake of a "bad date." Stop at a fast food restaurant, just anything that will support your claim that you were with throughout the evening

7: Leave When You Sense Problem: If you get into any kind of dispute with a woman who you don't know or who you don't know well, end the argument and leave the scene.


And Finally don't cheat on a person that loves you. Anger, frustration and jealousy might just push them to frame you up. I know That Trials require evidence but what happens when the people handling the case like bribes?

I graduated in 2012 and had my NYSC in 2014 but since then getting a meaning job has been a major challenge for me. Though after my NYSC,I opened an hair dressing salon for my wife in my hometown but after few months,she asked if we can relocate to abuja(where we met). After so many pressures from her,she moved to Abuja sometime in March,2015 and i later joined her in April after she secured an apartment i paid for. Chad’s president Idriss Derby

The alleged reluctance of Chad to station its forces along its contiguous border with other member-countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) is said to be jeopardising the effective operations of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJT), which was recently reactivated to checkmate the activities of Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT).

This is coming as the Nigerian Army denied a report that over 105 officers and soldiers have been missing since two days now from the Boko Haram ambush in Borno State.

Sources within the military circle have expressed concern about the reticence of Chad Republic in the ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency war against Boko Haram in the North East.

In line with the arrangement establishing the MNTF, each member countries including Nigeria, Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroun were expected to contribute troops towards effective control of the contiguous borders aimed at stopping easy movement of terrorists.

"This has however proved difficult because Chad have pulled away from their borders and have not contributed troops for the effective operation of MNJTF. As it stands now, its like Nigeria is still practically piloting the whole process as Cameroun and Niger Republic are also busy dealing with increasing Boko Haram attacks within their respective territories," a source explained.
