Christianity Etc › Re: Love Or Submission....which Should Come First In Marriage? by onoja12: 4:26pm On Jan 24, 2016 |
verse 22 and 25 which comes first?i am guessing that should answer your question yemstok: A man says
"I don't love my wife because she is not. submissive perhaps, if she were submissive i would have loved her"
A woman says
"I am not submissive to my husband because he doesn't love me, if he had shown love to me, I would have been submissive"
The bible made mention of these things but didn't tell which should come first.
Ephesians 5:22
"Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior"
Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ lovedthe church and gave himself up for her"
Now, my question is, Which should come first? "Love" or "Submission" |

hahahahahah, he has an imam as minister and a pastor as vice President. he doesn't need more .you think this is GEJ government where you people use religion to enrich yourself with Nigerians money. please Sir think again the days of religious organizations are gone. infact I advice the President to immediately stop funding of the so called travel to holy land and band government from getting involved anybody who want to go should do so from his or her pocket tonyadex: Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Catholic Bishop of Abuja Arch Diocese, has said that President Muhammadu should ask religious leaders for help if he wants to receive success. Onaiyekan noted this on January 23, during the priestly ordination of nine priests in the diocese. The famous cleric state that the change mantra of the All Progressives Congress government can only become a success if the administration gives a forum for the active cooperation of religious organisations in the current war against corruption. He said: “There should be such arrangement whereby government officials and religious people can sit down and see how we can all contribute to the fight against corruption. “For the moment I don’t think we have gotten the forum for that kind of cooperation. “If we you want people’s heart to change you have to reach out to us, we are the experts in that,” the Cardinal said. Meanwhile, Onaiyekan stated that religious leaders have a moral responsibility to assist in the fight against corruption. “Although we don’t have to wait for them to tell us, but my own believe is that if there is a conscious effort to work together, the impact will be more serious,” the cleric said. “Nine ordinations in one cathedral at once is a big news, even in the big churches of the world. “We are among the front liners in the league of nations of the world, in terms of faith,” Oniayekan noted. He advised the newly appointed priests to stand out, in a world slowly floating towards materialism. “Even if the world is standing for materialism, the priest must stand out, so that other people can see them and emulate, and so that homily can preach louder,” the bishop said. Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan recently stated that Nigerian president remains a dictator. During Buhari’s military regime, almost 500 people were jailed for corruption and wasting taxpayers’ money. However, the president many times restated that he had turned to democracy. |

With the emergence of the newly appointed Colonial Governor of the Royal Niger Company aka Nigeria, expect to see Buhari cancel outrightly all Chinnese direct investments in preference to western loans from the IMF, World Bank and Paris Club.
Off course, all the newly borrowed money will be diverted with nothing on ground to show for it but debt for the next 40years.

Number two we all know according to most African tradition any child who is born outside of marriage belongs to the mother and her people, in my place if a man doesn't say this is my child then it can not be referred to as my child woodboi: And you think this reason is enough for a father to deprive his children of what it means to grow with one? |

first like you said we are Africans and as an Africans we are not stupid neither is there anything wrong in been married and having a side chick or wife's for that matter, as you can see his wife stands strongly behind him because she is a true African wife, so stop playing two rule books at once. secondly I think you have no idea how evil some women can be especially the white verities as long as his name is not on there birth certificate and he has not accepted responsibility for the kids, the white woman has no say and she knows it. lastly what exactly is ideye sin here aside people hating on him, let see if it is because he has kids outside that is his personal choice and if anybody should be angry it should be his wife not a side chick who though she could impeach his wife and failed in her plot. so who is the evil person here, is it not the one who new he was married and thought or well I can get him to love me and leave his wife ??Africans stand with your own woodboi: I love your response, but I want you to understand one thing, we are Africans and they also have their own tradition. If we are talking about a kid here, we can pretend under assumption of a mistake from both part since no human is perfect in life, but this dude keeps going back to the lady probably spend days with her. My dear for every action their is a reaction which consequence happens to be the by product, the things you are claiming now Ideye have a vest knowledge about it, but he choose to forge ahead with the lady to this point called "black mailing" according to you. So if Ideye knows better, he deserves whatever the outcome he is getting from it, stop saying the woman is a bad person, she wasn't the one that made the law's of the land or climb on herself to produce 2 kids, she may as well just be a regular girl at a bar before having those kids, think about the load of taking care of those kids without the support of a father. |

American Billionaire and Republican Presidential Front-runner, Donald Trump, has shot a subtle warning to the Nigerian Community in the United States, after he said all Nigerians would be made to leave the country “when he becomes President”.
He made the “threat” during a rally at Wichita, Kansas. According to Donald Trump, Nigerians ad Mexicans have taken all the jobs meant for honest hard working Americans.
“To Make America great again, we need to get rid of the Muslims, Mexicans and the Africans, especially the Nigerians. They take all our jobs, jobs meant for honest hard working Americans, and when we don’t give them the jobs, the Muslims blow us up”, Trump said.

what is the next page? there are two ways to your answer but in this case we stick to one of the two ways, which is legally by that I mean paper work and the answer is NO he is not the father, his name is not on the kids birth certificate, so the woman is trying to black mail him into making it legal. if she ever wanted him to be there father without greedy intentions then his name would have been on there birth certificate indicating that he was assuming responsibility woodboi: But the question still popping up is simple... Is he the father of the kids? Just a simple Yes or No that's all it takes to proceed to the next page. |

some people need enlightenment, first of all I can assure you all even if I don't know ideye, that he has not abandon his kids. the laws in Europe are quit different. the mother of those kids sees ideye as pay day, as she didn't get to be wife she wants a share of his fortunes as vengeance and rubbishing his reputation why she is at it and get him fired from his club. the second he acknowledges them as his kids, she would file for child support you can see she already has lawyers on stand by, and when I say child support we are not talking of child support but rather a back door into his bank account. this is the plain facts any nijia man who stays in Europe knows this. first question people should ask where were the kids every since, why didn't she invite ideye when the children were been born, was ideye even aware that he had kids, why is it now all of a sudden that she appears with the kids ?ask yourself this questions FlirtyKaren: Nigerians were shocked when a white woman named Alex who lives in Ukraine posted pictures on her Instagram page saying Nigerian Super Eagles player, Ideye Brown fathered a son and a daughter with her. And that he has abandoned them and refused to do a DNA.
Ideye is married to wife Damka Ideye and together they have two sons. A lot of people have however said Alex's kids bear a striking resemblance with Ideye Brown. Things got so heated that Damka, Ideye's wife issued a statement saying Alex's claims weren't legitimate.
Well, see where the drama has gotten up to now. Ideye Brown is proudly on the cover of an Ukrainian newspaper over the allegations. See photo below.

having toured the Caribbean, I can tell you this Nigerians have no problem with the Caribbean but rather they try to help the Caribbean in anyway they can but the Caribbean especially the blacks seem to have a problem with Nigerians. first they think a black man is stupid or wants to scam them but they willingly worship the whites and they whites feed on them, control them manipulate them in fact the list is endless, I have never seen that kind before, second they have deep slave mentality to the extent they go around fabricating stories on how Africans don't like them when they are the once who have no knowledge of Africa, they don't want to travel.but they seem to be masters at what they watched on CNN a point in note I can remember going to an African association in one of the countries and they were playing Yoruba music lead by a professor of African studies who studied in the united states but has never been to Africa, yet he actually lead them to believe that the music is from Ghana because for some reason which I haven't figured out they all want to claim they came from Ghana or Ethiopia or Angola, when the truth is that most of them came from west Africa especially what is today called Nigeria, mostly ijaw, urobo and Yoruba. the Caribbean's especially the blacks are slow retrogress thinkers, they like to steal ideas when they have no idea how to implement it and lastly the people in the Caribbean actually think Nigeria is one poor country, when most countries in the Caribbean cant out do states like Kogi not to talk of comparing it with more advance states. that is my humble opinion take my advice forget what your mother has been feeding you like you said you have never been to Nigeria, so what you should do is take a flight to Nigeria, please note: Nigeria is probably the smartest black nation in the world so come with your thinking cap or else queeniecreole: I just want an honest opinion of what Nigerians think of Caribbean people. I am half West Indian, half Nigerian- However I was brought up on my Caribbean side and know the culture and have grown up with it.
I don't really know anything much about my Nigerian side, However on my Nigerian Side - They like to make fun of Caribbean people all the time! My dad is Nigerian , he already has 4 children with West Indian women, but makes fun of West Indians all the time. It's annoying and hurtful and I always feel like I don't fit on that side of the family.
My Caribbean family are welcoming however, they don't really like Africans that much and sometimes makes fun of them, and it makes me feel upset. It's like my Caribbean family think they are better because they are Lighter and Mixed. And my Nigerian family think they are better because they are full blooded 100% Naija - whereas I am not.
When I was younger I was made to feel that being African or associated with Africa as something shameful - It's so sad. I just want to be accepted by both sides of my family!!!!
So what is your opinion on African / Caribbean relations? |

Your royal highness, you are new to the thrown and you should be careful what you say, you no longer belong to your self but the people and the people in particular are the traditional people of Yoruba land, not any church. please please please let it not repeat itself, if the pastor or father of that church agree to come to the shrine to pray to the Gods only then can you go to a church to kneel down. I wonder why the king maker and chief priest are keeping quite, they should educate the oba quickly before he makes a mess of the thrown DickDastardly: The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has said he owed nobody any apology for kneeling to worship the almighty God during the thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Paul’s Anglican Church, Ife, after his coronation. The Ooni, said this in statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Thursday by the Director of Communication and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Ile Ife, Mr. Moses Olafare. The monarch spoke in reaction to criticisims against him by an online medium Newspunch (Not The Punch) that he knelt down to worship God during the church service. Ogunwusi said it was wrong to equate any king no matter his status with the almighty God who created the heavens and the earth, saying the comment was an attempt to embarrass the throne. Ogunwusi said since the almighty God is not Ooni or any king’s mate he would not stop to worship and revere him because it was God who enthroned him. The statement read, ” It is an unacceptable sacrilege to equate Ooni’risa or other king to the almighty God. God Is the creator of mankind and it is God that made it possible for the enthronment of any king. “The attention of Ile Oodua has been drawn to a publication released Wednesday 16th 2015 by an online medium known as NEWSPUNCH in which His Imperial Majesty, Ooni’risa & Arole Oodua Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi(OjajaII) was crtisised for bowing to God. “God remains the highest, the king of kings who has kept all kings alive and has made it possible for me to be crowned as the king of the source of Yoruba civilisation. “I have no regrets whatsoever for kneeling down to exalt the almighty God who did not only create me, but also kept me alive, saw me through all the storms in my, life-journey and eventually crowned me as the custodian of Oodua race. “This act of equating me to God of gods of king of kings and the sole owner of the universe is a wicked sacrilege planned to embarrass the throne. My emergence as Oba has been made possible only by the almighty Olodumare to whom I remain eternally grateful.”

Is his lineage from that of Abraham or Moses? Is it not enough to be a living embodiment of Oduduwa and the bloodline of great kings and their ancestors? Some things are so clearly not as they should be but we continue to bite our tongue and keep our own counsel. For how long? Lemme just say, I have concerns. This nonsense is too prevalent amongst African kings. In the very near future. I hope an inability or unwillingness to swear to and uphold our culture and the tradition of his forebears would disqualify potential candidates. . .
