Just yesterday in another thread I mentioned that Obi shot himself in the leg by including INEC in the petition.

It would have been better if INEC was a mere witness. That would have made them neutral.

In the case of Bayelsa and Zamfara the complaints were lodged after primaries.

Infact on the eve of Bayelsa elections i recall the court sacked APC candidate over his deputy's name issue but APC won the election and supreme court upheld the decision of the lower courts even before their swearing in.

Stuff like this fall under pre election matters and thus cannot be entertained now.

The last election in Kenya was marred by allegations of fraud, and three out of the seven electoral commissioners disclaimed the results...and there was some tension. Took a ruling by the courts to allow the winner claim his mandate.

May the best lawyers win for their parties. Election Tribunals are part of the Democratic process,I believe everyone will have an opportunity to prove their case before the Honourable Judges.
This year's Presidential tribunal judges will really have their hands full.
2 parties are arguing they won the election,meaning after Labour and PDP are able to prove APC lost the election,they still have to prove their opponent didn't win.
Another 2 parties want the Tribunal to cancel the presidential Election because the electoral body didn't comply with its guidelines.
So if PDP and Labour prove ApC didn't win the election,and also argue they are the winner,the other 2 parties can pour sand into their garri by showing proof the Election didn't comply and therefore have the Election cancelled.

This is really confusion breaking the bones of the Honourable Judges on the Election Tribunal.
Na wa for Nigeria political parties........

The above should educate those writing letters to the USA that they are just wasting their time to prevent what has already happened.

Many of them were the same religious bigot who held on to the delusion that Trump won elections and that Biden would never be sworn in.

To their shame, Biden has long become President of America and their democracy despite the unrest and insurrection at the Capitol which led to deaths, has not been termed hollow by those who suffer an inferiority complex.

Meanwhile their Lord, Trump, is fighting a criminal case that could lead to his conviction.

I doubt it works that way. I think their intents were to pressurize the judges to save the face of the country by swaying their votes. When foreign medias start publishing known court documents of a country president involving in a crime, most times it is a way of ridiculing and mockery and it puts the judges on the spot light so trying to over turn or dismissed the instituted case might put moral burden on their conscience.

As long as it is already a settled case in a different court of another country and with the foreign media giving it all attention, most of the judges won't want to be involved with their name soiled. I am sure his lawyers might put up a "good" arguement but I doubt any judge will want to be enmeshed with such high profile case.

My point is the people putting it on media knows what they are doing
