Travel / Re: Finally Migrated To Australia At Age 48. This Is My Story So Far by Onyenku3(m): 3:42pm On Apr 01
[I am just happy I stumbled on this post today. Pls, I would like to know a few things.
1. Was your wife already resident in Australia before you moved or did you move with your family?
How did you process your visa and documentation?
Is there any agent or website you could recommend?
I'll be waiting quote author=Usefulsense post=129158822]Last year, I sought the opinion of Nairalanders concerning my plan to move to Australia.
My major worry was my age (48) and also considering that my net salary in Nigeria was a little over a million Naira per month as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in Onitsha.

Below is the link to the thread I opened to seek peoples advice and I recommend that you go through the thread to fully appreciate
the story that follows.

. I promised to tell my story after 3 months of my stay in Australia.

I finally left Nigeria on December 7th, 2023 and arrived the country on December 9th with my children. Today, I am exactly 3 months, 2 weeks and 6 days old in Sydney, australia.

This is not a hearsay, it is not an eye witness account, it is my story.

This is intended to guide people who maybe planning to travel outside Nigeria. Should you migrate at an age over 45 or not?

Those who told me not to go are right and those who told me to travel are also right.

Given another opportunity, will I take the decision to move out of Nigeria at 48? Have I made a mistake? How am I surviving?

You will find out in this thread.

To be continued shortly .........

Family / Re: My Wife And 1 Are Expecting Our First Child And This Is What Is Happening by Onyenku3(m): 6:38pm On Jan 11
The fact that you were lavish doesn't mean it's the way for everyone to go.
You spent that much because you prolly has an abundance. Don't make it the norm m with good planning, 200k will buy everything the baby will need from birth to the first two moths. I have three lovely sons, the youngest being just three months old. we didn't spend more than 200k on each of them, excluding hospital bills. I'm not rich, neither am I the poorest around. My son's were born in reputable private hospitals. Allow people to cut their coat according to their cloth.
post=127889854]Baba, I spent close to a million for my baby stuff.
What you need to understand is that baby things are generally very costly. Secondly, escalation has taken a toll on the prices of things . It seems a lot of people have not taken into account the effect of the naira losing value in the economy
I gave my wife 350K initially but she bought wasnt substantial.
She added her money and i gave her additional.
BEd alone is 170k-200k depending on the quality. Breast pump (for when your baby my not have the mum around) is 50k in the market. just these 2 items have taken 220-250K out of your 400K. now talk about feeding bottles, diapers, clothes (there are several types your baby will need), Powder/soaps, baby oils, shoes, other stuff, wardrobe alone for kids na 120K. Religion / Re: Jehovah's Witnesses Can Now Wear Beard by Onyenku3(m): 3:03pm On Dec 17, 2023
You are probably an apostate or s disfellowshipped fellow. Did you read the scriptural principles cited in the broadcast?
As an organization, Jehovah's witnesses have never forbidden the wearing of beard. The governing body does not make rules. Neither do they dictate for or teleguide their members. Nobody has ever been disfellowshipped for keeping or wearing a beard. Nobody. It is a matter for personal decision
So after many decades of demonising, ostracising and sometimes disfellowshiping male members who opt to wear or keep their God given natural beards. The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect has approved responsible male brothers to wear and keep beards if they choose in a recent update aired on jw broadcast dated December 15,2023.

On this update nos 8 they've agreed that is non scriptural to instruct Christians on how to look outwardly uniformly. They now accept that spirituality is the basis of Christianity not outward appearances or trying to appear or sound different from other competing religious organisations .

There's high and mixed emotions amongst the members now. Many are disappointed while few who has been scorned by elders and congregation leaders for trying to leave there beards to grow may be the only ones excited.

But personally they( Governing Body) needs to apologise to there members for trying to make them look like a cult. Cus is only a cult that that enforce a dress pattern or grooming for members from varying cultures and backgrounds all around the world

I love it when people express their concerns in clear terms without pretense.
You need to check her family history. Do they have challenges with child birth? As a virgin, her case is either purely medical or hereditary or both. Seek professional medical opinions and advice. Discuss your concerns with her.
If you leave here, there's no guarantee that the next person you'll marry wouldn't struggle with conception. There's no clear cut, sure fire way to conceive. Just as you plant seeds and hope they germinate, so you plant your semen and pray conception happens.

Please I need help. Loan sharks are killing me.
I borrowed money from three loan apps to trade c.r.y.p.t.o, hoping to pay back with the proceeds. The projects I invested in turned out to be scams. Now I've defaulted. These people have been sending defamatory messages to my contacts. They call me every minute of the day.
Pls help me repay them.

Oh dear. Sorry about your brother's death. God did not take him away. Death did. But God has offered you the hope of resurrection for your loved one, as victory over death. May this hope bring you comfort and closure.post=108993158]First call was from my late brother's wife...she actually called 12:01am but I didn't pick cause I was asleep...she called again around 6am.

She is one of the people you give something and you will never regret it. She is so real and always keep in touch.

Didn't know why God took away my brother...the woman don't deserve it.

Okay, on the flip, who did I call? I haven't really called anyone or the people I called didn't pick...but I have chatted many.
Romance / Re: How Do I Get Over This Broken Heart? I'm In Pain by Onyenku3(m): 8:57am On Dec 30, 2021
A failed relationship is better than a broken marriage.
There's no hurt that time cannot heal.
Let time do it's work.
Your grief is normal.
In my case, I had to take pills to sleep when she pulled the breaks.
I learned from my mistakes.
I got better
Work in yourself.
Work on the new you.
Work on making yourself irresistible.
Don't call him
Don't curse him
Don't cuss him
Recreate yourself.
I'm a man.
When he sees you've moved on, and probably gotten better, he'll come back begging.
