Maintaining the integrity of the genome is only necessary during reproduction. Reproduction is meiotic division. Do you understand? You are the one that should not argue about what you do not understand.

They are also talking about conservation, conservation is necessary when you are passing down your genes, another meiotic division. Pls tell me you understand now.
