How often have you visted ikoyi passport office? were you given a slip that shows collection date and other data on it? If so just be marching there everyday, im sure it should be ready by now since feb18 you captured. also if you were given a slip what date does it says for collection?

I did capturing too on the 17th of February.
Paid 40k for 32 pages for 5 years (I'm a minor tho)
I captured at the Ibadan office.
I was only told to write "Data okay by me"
and to make 2 photocopies of the statement I wrote one was collected, I gave another copy of the assisting officer and I was told to retain the original copy.
I was told 6 weeks tho, and that will elapse March 31st.

[quote author=OpemipoDoyin post=111041971]Hello everyone. Is anyone here familiar with the Ibadan office?
I went for my capturing on Feb. 17 and I was told it would be ready 6 weeks after and that will be March 31st.
Anyone here familiar with the system; is there hope that I will get it that day?
I really need to get it latest April 8 so that I'd be able to write an exam.
(Fresh passport, 32 pages-5 years, paid 40k and I'm a minor <18).
My question is that is there hope of me getting it by then (6 weeks after capturing)?
I really need answers .

I thought I saw on the ETS's website that the ONLY FORM OF IDENTIFICATION to take to the testing center by takers from Nigeria, Nepal and I think Iran is only a valid international passport.

Why do IPOB jobless youths spend all day on Nairaland culling links from site in which South Southerners were called slaves?
Why are they trying to erode the dignity of the Itsekiri man or the Urhobo man by calling them bini slaves?
Do they think that will make these tribes join Biafra?
Are they in direction need of south south oil like this?
If the Igbo's are calling South Southerners slaves already, what will be the fate of this tribes in Biafra. They will probably be banned from voting and what is happening under Buhari will be better for South Southerners

Moreover, Ipob propagandist should know that being a descendant of a black slave to another does not make u a slave.
Hell, someone of our ancestors were slaves to the whites but we claim freedom today.

South -Southerners , if there should be Biafra , request a referendum first and never allow anyone erode ur dignity if u don't want Biafra.

You are itsekiri or Urhobo not a bini slave just as how someone from Onitsha calls himself an Igbo not a Benin slave

Go and learn any of these:

1.) Plumbing
2.) Carpentry
3.) Welding
4.) HVAC
5.) Diesel Engine Mechanic

But make sure you pass through Nigeria's Technical and craft college or something, and get government approved certificate. They have a school for this established by FG for these kinds of training, and if you can, enroll for trade test exam and seat for the exam.

According to my Dad, hand skills like carpentry, plumbing and co are hot cakes.

If you are also good with ICT you will be in demand.

You also need to go to a vocational school for a brief time so as to enable you get work. You can't just land in another man's country and immediately start looking for a job.

Again, all these depends on your visa type.

Tax is high in all the countries. They would be almost same. These is what makes them developed countries.

If not for trump, US would have been the best.
The country has tons of jobs.
It's also easier to get any type of job in the US from survival job(cleaning, mcdonald, walmart stocker e.t.c) to professional job.

In the UK, there are many professional jobs you can get if you have the right qualifications. Most of the jobs go for months unfilled.
It's sometimes easier to get a job in bigger cities outside london e.g in places like manchester, birmingham, liverpool e.t.c than within london.

In Canada, there are very few professional jobs as a result of an highly educated populace and small economy.

Alot of canadians work with a nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional TN visa in the US due to stiff competition in Canada, hence Trump is trying to kill NAFTA and everything it stands for..

In the news yesterday, lots of Canadians nurses working in the US were turned back at the border due to overzealous border agents acting on trumps upcoming policies..., but there are plenty survival jobs in Canada, hence; it's easier to survive in Canada than UK because worse case scenario is that you would still get a survival job that would pay rent and food.

Please be very positive about gaining admission into the US. Apart from the US, China would also be a good place to do that course. Japan too because those 2 places offer an ideal environment to do your course.

Best of luck.

Georgia tech,NIU, UGA,GSU, Howard, Tuskegee
But I would love to school at Georgia tech

That's why I'm studying well for my WAEC
So as to have a sound high school GPA
But I want to look into other countries as well in case of Visa disappointment which I don't hope for.
Do you stay in Nigeria or you reside in one of the aforementioned countries?
