Please note that the event occurred in a thick forest with a few numbers of security detail
If aregbe was the monster they portrayed him to be he wouldn't be in that farm lecturing that enormous number of farmers
Aregbe is so far the best thing that ever happened to Osun state Aregbe? Best thing? Okay from the back abi? |

Mynd44: But to be honest, the PDP needs to match the three Ks. Kano, Kaduna and Katsina in votes else they are in huge trouble.
The battle might come back to the SW. Should the Cross-states railways be completed, the Lagos-Ibadan, Lagos Abeokuta, Ilesha roads be fixed and Ambode continues with his speed, the PDP might forget about Lagos, Oyo and Ogun. Which form bulk of SW votes.
The sacking of Boko Haram has gotten the APC the NE
Luckily for the APC, by 2018, Nigeria will be refining a million barrels of crude daily (going from figures coming from Dangote refinery being built in Lekki and Oando being built in Badagary).
The road is hard for the PDP but then, they should not despair, they have almost 3 years to prepare. Nice analysis guy. I want PDP to come back sha. |

The influence of China in Africa generally and Nigeria in particular is growing fast. Well, it's good provided we harness it well to our benefit. Russia can be added to the mix while we maintain our good relationship with the west afterall Nigeria is non-allied. |

dtruth3: I agree with you bro. I know it will benefit everybody, but the question remains, had it been it was not going to connect 3 western states, would the Yoruba be shouting ontop of their voices the way they are doing now?
I just wanted to expose their hypocrisy. Though not all of them, I still know quite a number of them that are very good. I also enjoy good relationship with them I think i agree with you to a large extent. But you know, Nigeria is a complex multi-ethnic entity, so everybody is fighting for his/her own interest. We don't have to blame others if they're fighting for their interest alone(though not the best). That's the more reason why everyone has to be up and doing in knowing what is happening within the corridors of power especially in issues that concerns their immediate constituencies to get favourable results for their people. I thank God this project + Lagos-Kano rail are more of pan Nigeria projects hence everybody will naturally be interested. I just wish Nigeria's federalism can be loosened up away from what we have now... Everyone will focus more on developing their respective areas, inter-ethnic strife reduced, calls for secession quenched(or reasonably lowered). Infact Nigeria and Nigerians will be more productive while we ALL(and not just Niger-Delta alone) contribute our quotas to the Nigerian common wealth. Thanks Bro. |
Politics › Re: Ogundamasi Blast BenBruce,Tinubu:U're Asleep When Calabar-Lagos Rail Was Removed by Opharhe: 10:39am On Apr 11, 2016 |
dtruth3: And why is it that its only the Yorubas that are shouting on top of the roof?
*Why is the so called South-South and South East not bothered?
*Was the proposed project intended to actually benefit the South-South and South East, or another plot to expand Lagos economy? #ISmellRat
*And why is everybody now referring to Calabar as the "East" I thought Calabar is at the South-South? #hypocrisy
*Could it also be that the East and south are no longer bothered wether they are included in the Nigeria project, haven been described as 5% by Bubu, hence has accepted their fate?
Ask yourselves this questions, and your guess is as good as mine.
You see! Just like I predicted! This people are really deceitful. They make it look like they are fighting for other people, whereas it's for selfish motive. It will benefit everybody. I'm from Delta state and was very happy when the Jonathan govt. unveiled this coastal railway plan. The SW, SS and SE will benefit from this. On the issues bothering on geography, Calabar is in Cross-River which falls under the SS geo-politically. But Geographically, Calabar is in the East- South easternmost city in Nigeria. Remember Cross-River was formally the South-Eastern state. It's just the same way as Delta, Edo and Ondo are geographically in the South-west and Niger-Delta(crude oil wise) BUT Ondo is geo-politically in SW while Delta and Edo is in SS... I think I've tried. |

tomakint: Exercise in futility the whole exercise will still be table before the President for his assent to become a reality. I think we don't need the NASS in the first place. Yes, the President can veto a bill by refusing to approve it BUT the NASS can still make a law without the President if the process is repeated after the President's refusal with a clear majority(2/3) of the house... And it becomes binding. We need the NASS bro. |

themonk: how is it a benin statue, when it is called "okukor" which means cock in ibo. It's a confirmed Benin bronze statue looted alongside other artefacts in the Benin war of 1897. About the nomenclature, i think 'okukor' might carry same meaning in both Igbo and Benin languages. Also, don't forget western Igbo was an integral part of the Benin Empire so Benin names in Igbo culture(as we have it in Delta Igbo, Igbanke in Edo etc) or vice versa is not out of place. But this statue is a Benin bronze statue undoubtedly. |
