garfield16: Nobody is stopping you. I will be here in Yoruba land enjoying the peace if war breaks out. Remember between 1967 and 1970, if you lived in the Sw or the North, you won't know we were engaged in a war.
I have nothing to lose Shuo shuo shuo. See dis one o, u're just deceiving urself my dear. This is not 1667 my broda... Let's not pray for war. Remember the Niger-Delta is no longer pro-FG as we were then, if war should break out everyone will feel the heat. Yorubaland will suffer a lot too- yes, Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta etc can be bombarded from the sea around Warri, Koko etc. Coastal Yorubaland around Ondo, Ogun may also suffer huge casualties from naval assault. What about Ariel attacks? Abeg let me not talk much but know that if it happens, we will all feel the heat, even the North will not be left out. |

marcusaurelio: Let them go. .I'm a geologist..what I know is oil Wells do dry up with time...and I presume the igbos will go back to fishing and tap palm wine to sustain their economy. ..Fools depending on their exhaustive resources..no wonder you guys are sidelined all the time because of your low sense of reasoning But the Bishop did'nt mention oil, did he? You see, this oil of a thing and it's quick money is what has made this country very pathetic as it is now. Before oil came, we were surviving and we'll survive if oil dries(and of course it'll dry up with time). Quota system, FG control of resources, Hausa/Fulani impunity... The injustice and oppression in this country is too much to bear. This is not about oil bro but it is about rising to the occasion to urgently address the state of this union called Nigeria else disintegration becomes inevitable. |

God bless Nigeria. Why the talk of this administration? Govt. Is a continuum my dear. And besides Innoson have been helping the Air force since GEJ's tenure especially due to the foreign pressures in preventing Nigeria from getting needed hardware. The Chief of Air staff himself confirmed this... So GEJ started it my dear, this is just an official and well spelt out agreement. Kudos to this administration and the Air force anyway. |

Sctests: The easiest way have omenka run away from you is to remind him of what the fulanis are doing to his people in Benue. I've been a quiet member of this forum for some time now. I don't really mean to taunt him with the predicament of his people but i find the fact that he's silent on this problem(which has a more direct effect on him) while very vocal in condemning the past govt. and praising this new govt., very hypocritical and a total misplacement of priority hence i had to speak up today. A normal human being with proper political consciousness is supposed to have done something no matter how small- creating a thread here or some other form of media campaign against the carnage going on in his homeland is quite easy i think. I am really disappointed in Omenka. |

omenka: Where is the "epic"?? That some hoe took a swipe at him over his marriage failure?? Dahell!!
Jonathan was a disaster, and his marriage is even worse, having been led by the nose by his dumpy and uncouth wife. I've observed that you're quick to react to issues concerning PDP, GEJ & PEJ, Ipod abi na Ipad sef etc. But I've never seen you react to the perennial crisis in your area(learnt you're from Benue) between local farmers and Herdsmen and the silence of the FG since Buhari's Presidency. I don't want to believe the wasted lives of the people of Agatu and elsewhere is of no concern to you. Thanks. |

coputa: It was a tensing situation, as women and little children trekked over six kilometres under the heavy downpour from Aladja to Ovwian, the closest community. It was a gory sight to behold as mothers were seen wailing and crying for assistance from motorist.many children were declared missing yesterday as a result of the stampede. The local government chairman did not make any provision for the refugees, as they were seen roaming the the street of warri and udu road without direction. The state government should wade into this issue and find a lasting solution to it,so that normalcy will return back to Aladja and Ogbe. Thanks for the info. But seriously, the state govt. should act fast in implementing the reports from the judicial commissions of enquiry pending court judgement on the land dispute. |

The police armoury was also looted in the clash in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, between Urhobo speaking people of Aladja and ijaw speaking people of Ogbe-Ijoh.
Soldiers from 3rd Battalion had to be drafted into the crisis torn area before sanity was restored.
It was learnt that the crisis which has been brewing since came to the head Thursday over boundary dispute between the two communities leading to shootings and burning of houses. https://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/12417760_10206061820726987_4904358457046453462_n1.jpg
The soldier who was wounded on Thursday
Security sources disclosed that the police station located in Ogbe Ijoh was over run and its armoury looted during the crisis.
It was gathered that the clash was as a result of alleged attack on Aladja women who were returning from their farms by some Ogbe Ijaw youths last Wednesday.
Aladja youths on Wednesday blocked the only access road leading to Ogbe Ijoh ( also Ogbe-Ijaw)community.
This provoked the clash between the two communities.
A reinforcement of mobile Police men were drafted from Warri to join the soldiers already deployed to the troubled area.
Refugees by Thursday night have been created on both sides of the Ijaw and Urhobo communities.
Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Chief Solomon Kpoma told Journalists last night that refugees from Aladja community were being accommodated at Udu townhall while that of Ogbe Ijaw were in Warri.
The Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area , George Ekpemupolo,Tompolo’s brother confirmed that tension was “very high” even though the Warri Area Command of the Nigerian Police had waded into the matter the alleged abduction of an Aladja woman from her farm on Wednesday evening.
“The woman who went to the farm was seized and taken to Ogbe-Ijoh by the youths who detained her behind a counter.”
“Aladja youths in reprisal blocked the only road leading to Ogbe-Ijoh. They said the road would remain closed until the woman is released”.
Meanwhile, residents of Ogbe-Ijoh, including corps members, are fleeing Ogbe-Ijoh in the wake of Thursday attack.
The Chairman of the Waterways Security Committee, Chief Boro Opudu, who confirmed the report said security operatives were battling to restore normalcy to the area.
He said soldiers from Nigerian Army and mobile police force have been deployed to the community to restore law and order.
The Warri Area Commander of Police, ACP Muazu Mohammed confirmed the renewed bloody clash.
http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2016/03/police-station-sacked-armoury-looted-in-ogbe-ijoh/ The Delta state govt needs to facilitate a settlement between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh as quick as possible. |
