wait until we start the fight for resource control... You think the PDP taking control is for jokehuh °°°°..... There is a grander plan...
Korrect guy. It's even more than resource control. We want True fiscal federalism and once that is achieved we'll focus more on our states and localities, the FG then becomes less attractive and we'll experience true growth and development.
PoliticsRe: Benin City, The Mighty Medieval Capital Now Lost Without Trace by Opharhe: 11:17am On Mar 20, 2016
Kagawa10:
What's this one saying betwn!
It's widely known Urhobo or whatever the sh!t borrowed many of their language from the Binis. That you got the word 'omo' from the Binis doesn't mean it didn't originate somewhere and I'm simply stating that the word is basically a Yoruba word.
'Borrowed from Binis', hahahaha. It seems u're so obsessed with borrowing but your level of Knowledge is very shallow. You yorubas make too much baseless claims. Yes, Edos and Urhobos/Isokos + western Igbos are historically related but 'Ofua' is the Bini word for child for you info. Do you know that 'Oba' is not the Edo word for King as many of you yorubas erroneously think just as Emir in not the Hausa word for King? Let me stop here, lol.
PoliticsRe: Benin City, The Mighty Medieval Capital Now Lost Without Trace by Opharhe: 10:07am On Mar 20, 2016
Back to the topic. Enough is not been done in preserving these treasures... A miniature city for example should be established to keep the memories if the glorious past ever fresh and also bring home some good money from tourists. Unfortunately, those in govt.(federal and state) do not think of tangible things they can do to better the society.
PoliticsRe: Benin City, The Mighty Medieval Capital Now Lost Without Trace by Opharhe: 10:00am On Mar 20, 2016
Kagawa10:
Borrowing the word 'omo' isn't the bone of contention here but the origin of the word 'omo'
No one cares if dinosaurs also borrow the word to be part of their language but the origin is what matters. As far as I'm concerned, no tribe uses the word 'Omo' as part of their names the way Yoruba uses theirs.
As a matter of fact, only Yoruba has used the word 'Omo' which dated back as far as millenium years ago. One of my sec. school friend's surname is Omosheibi. Can you imagine someone's great great grandfather to have been bearing the said name? And this is what you bini want to claim?
Try another!
It's very clear you have a very poor knowledge of linguistics and don't know beyond your closet(Yoruba). I'm an Urhobo and 'Omo' is the Urhobo word for child. Claiming we(the Edo-speaking) people borrowed this word among others from yoruba is very shallow. Your argument would have sense if you talked about the possibility of similarity in words being a result of a common ancient language or relations between various ethnic groups. Linguistically, there are some similarities of words used in Igbo and Yoruba languages, so do i now say yorubas borrowed those words from igbos or vice-versa?

Can you imagine - US and UK said no more aid until we allow those animals

Will they help us when every adult male is wearing diaper
Or HIV prevalence figure shoots up

Nip evil in the bud
Slay gays who refuse to emigrate
Bloody h-o-m-o-s-i-c-k
How many adult males in the US or UK wear diapers? If you hate something, it does'nt mean you condemn people who like it because one man's poison is another's jollof rice. The UK and US u're talking about even came late among Nations who tolerate gay people... Research about it. Lemme give u a small tip; do you know the Islamic Caliphate of the Ottoman Empire(Today's Turkey) legalized same-sex activity as far back as 1858, a long time before the US and many European countries? Where/are they fools? Try to enlighten yourself PLEASE.

Lol. See how u're sounding. It should'nt even be until ones parents die... Lmao. You see, Bovi and his siblings clearly don't appreciate the importance of what we're talking about here because they're not used to it, probably weren't raised to place value in it. So it should be something we're always conscious of, showing ur native swag once in a while from time to time will not bite.

Am angry @bovi.
Ever since he became a celebrity I've never seen him wear our ceremonial dress before. Even @his own mother's burial he doesn't want to wear his jumper and wrapper. If it's time to wear adagba and caftan he can but he forsakes his own heritage.

He should never call himself isoko again. Ever
I jst taya for d guy. He's supposed to dress in the traditional wrapper attire for his mother's burial at least. But one thing I've observed is Isoko and Ijaw people don't dress in wrappers as much as Urhobos and Itsekiris do; the 'up and down' lace attire is very common to them. RIP mama.

these are not herdsmen, they are cattle rustlers...rustlers are sworn enemies of the herdsmen.
God bless you broda. The govt. is fighting for the herdsmen but not the farmers and villagers who are the real people in need of help. Is'nt it crystal clear that the FG and Army has deliberately abandoned the innocent people of the NC(Benue and elsewhere) to their fate? This is very saddening.

ramdris:
Excellent news! This is the first tym am seeing our gallant men taking on these herdsmen who are far more dangerous than BH.. I wish they can sustain this so that the pple in North central can have peace...
Unfortunately u're wrong. These people the Army is cracking down on are not herdsmen but cattle rustlers- people who engage in robbery mainly of cattle and if you check, u'll see it's based in the North-west(Zamfara, Kaduna and Kano mentioned) and not North-central.
**Bottomline**
The Fulani herdsmen in the NC are still at liberty, as free as the wind to visit death upon the communities. Buhari, God dey. SMH.

Korrect guy. From your response, i suppose u're a good person and concerned citizen. Kudos sir.

But bros i have a question troubling me though ur boss should not be directly responsible here: why is the NASS following the footsteps of the FG in ignoring the Fulani rampage but were quick(infact almost immediately) to react to the FG's unbundling of the NNPC? I'm sorry if I'm going too far but i just can't pretend about this and i fell u're closer than i am to the powers that be.

those criminals in that chambers will definitely form active but our eyes don open.

NNPC must be overhauled.

well, i hope they won't act against public interst or they'll further loose the respect and confidence Nigerians has in them
In as much as i fully support the overhaul of the NNPC(infact Nigerian as a whole needs overhauling), Buhari did'nt follow the right procedure which is amendment of the act establishing the NNPC first. Do you really think the Senators are working against public(Nigerians) interest? Are the protesting workers not Nigerians too?
