Some people think that Igbos declared war on Nigeria. To break away from a country that is slautering hundreds of thousands of their people cannot be deemed a declaration of war but a simple act of self defense. Those demons who are asking Igbos to forget and move on and that all is fair in war, they should go and try and say that to Jews about hitlar and the holocaust or is the sufferings of your own african brothers that you are supposed to love inferior? That fact remains that Nigeria has done its worst to the Igbos and they are back on their feet. Once paranoid nigeria decides to open up to fairness they will simply excel, again. I think nigeria should encourage them to break away as the paranoia has held the whole nation back and enabled this terrrible corrupt system we have today. Igbo paranoia is also why we do not have a proper federal system so they can stifle the development of some parts of the country via this unitary system. Nigeria must have remeberance days like any civilised nation. We keep reading such anti-Igbo vile, so if Nigerians hate the Igbos so much what is the point of fighting a war to keep them in nigeria? If any one nation can cope on its own and become the greatest and proudest nation in the history of black africa, it is the Igbos and you can hate them all you want because of that simple truth. |
Is the survay based on numbers from those who were suspecting their partners in the first place? If yes then 30 percent is low. |
Don't fall for some watered down conference with corrupt elites with obvious corrupt self interests sharing it. Just use the Aburi accord as a template to work from and we'll make some progress. |
We he says wipe Isreal of the map I am not clear that he means mass bombing them, I suspect he means wipe of the map the way there is nomore a Soviet Union, Yugoslavia or Rhodesia. I stand to be corrected but I hope that is what he means. |
Does this include protests against the killings of Xtians and Muslims in Nigeria, that has been going on in the name of Boko Haram? Misplaced priorities here...why is their priority too protest against a bigot in the USA about his false and disrecpectful lie of a movie over the actually killings of innocent people by so called Muslims. I would have thought the later would have drawn out the large crowds. That says a lot about the north and their silence on terrorism. |
Please let us not start to insult the people of Cameroon for our bad leadership. No nation would turn down the chance to own a profitable area of land. It is for our representatives to reflect our interest and not their pockets or egos. Cameroon people or their govt had done us no wrong and so we should not shamelessly start fighting over colonial boundaries that devide people that are brothers. A lot of cameroon peopls have also got similar blood and culture with the people of the SS so don't let colonials sit back, puffing their pipes and watch us fight each other like idiots over a 'line the drew in the jungle' |
The same man that fought biafra to 'keep nigeria one' was happy to let bakassi go. Hmmmmmmmm, I beg, don't start this wahala with out close neigbours over this as we have millions of our people in that country who will be victims of anger of which our government will do nothing about |
I really find reading this very painful. Do our rulers really have this much disprespect for us? I am speeachless on so many levels, including the audience that this speech was addressed to |
Carve out Igbo areas in the SS into a state (or two) and re-zone them to the SE and I will be sooooo happy. They will eventually get used to it, plus the SE will make some emipirical effort to appease them to make them feel welcome. That way I will all my people with me and we can truly be a nation at last. Nigeria will then just be an empty shell politically with no Igbo Abuja puppets leading us like sheeps leading lions. |
If he had boldly took on corruption that would have been a great accomplishment as it is the root of our problems |
Check the meaning of the term blowback. The northern elites backed Boko Haram, at least tacidly and now they can't put their evil frankenstien back in the bottle. Everything is unraveling around them and they have no cards to play. The rest of Nigeria now openly call them a liability and enemy of progress. How the mighty have fallen. |
Anyone who thinks that the bribees on the nigerian side will actually be punished is a retard and the problem with nigeria |
Watch how the north will stop screaming ONE NIGERIA!!!!!!!! Even the likes of IBB will change there talk. I am happy that this may lead to the final separtion of the north from the rest of the country so the south will be free to progress and be truly federal. One thing is for sure though, poverty in the north will still be terrible due to their feudal culture. |
Ojuckwu warned you southerners but you choose to fight him for it. Now you see he spoke the truth. |
If this is a true reflection of the view of northerners then it is clear the they want to be spoonfed for doing nothing while the south works themselves to the bone. Does the north and south really need to be one country, I mean really? |
The north is about to get a flavour of the Biafra experience of occupation. Without the genocide of famine and mass killings and rapes. If only they stuck to the agreed Aburi accord. |
This is misplaced violence! Stop killing each other and face the corrupt leaders who refuse to admit that as a result of their corrupt actions, nigeria is now a big tragedy. The people are now used as dispoable pawns and the people are failing to see it. Firstly the north must remove that elite that is holding the WHOLE nation back while the south needs to assert demands for true federalism and demand people driven leadership. |
I think they should be more concerned about being cut out of nigeria all together. I think that should be the agenda of their meeting and not about how to rule in 2015. The rest of nigeria now see them as a major liability since independence and would not be sad to see the back of them. They produce nothing to the nation despite all the potencial for agric etc yet the don't want any form of federalism where they would actually have to do some work. Anytime nigerians try to agree on a national strategy they would always push for an opposite objective. Now there is so much awareness about what is going on and why we are in this political and economic mess that the north cannot continue to push the rest of the nation backwards maybe they should consider joining Niger or Chad. |
Nothing will really happen to them in the end as this is not a civil society where justice applies to all. Even if the are found guilty (highly unlikely with a good Lawyer and enough bribe money ) it will be appealed and they will be free to swagger home. |
Nothing will happen. This is Nigeria, where justice cannot touch the big man who can afford to lobby or pay for it and now GJ is the lastest of a long line of leaders who surrounds himself with people who would be in prison in a civilised country and yet he protects them. Nigeria will eventually collapse under its own weight of corrupt and immoral filth. This is the real nolloywood. |
The masses will still be getting shafted, just see it like a 'go make I go' session with a brief interuption to facilitate a handover to the old shafters of election riggers from the govt puppets. The shaftee remains the same, they are the people. |
Good news. This should make us impove standards. |
Keep stricking! |
Nothing will happen!!! We all will moan and go back to work |
Why should they not laugh? We are docile |
The masses are being exploited by a elites who have benefited from the subsidies. Why have we not protested on other important matters? |
Nigeria's biggest economy is the sex industry, your average woman is on the game, a matter of cost and they will engage in almost any debauchery. We are just desensitised to it now , so true to form, he represents the people. |
Nigerians are now funtioning at the most basic low level of civility |
nothing will happen. Be happy they didn't allocate more, this is naija for you |
You are religious but not spritual (like most nigerians) else this would noy have been an issue. GIVE HIM THE MONEY!!!!!!!! ![]() |
Corruption kills more terrorism. Focus on that and everthing else will follow! |
No they declared a day of mourning ![]() |
