population might not be evil in itself but when its increment far outstrips the productive capacity of a particular place,it generates many problems.in today's world productivity is directly proportional to the technolodgical advancement of any nation.take for example power.a transformer that supplies a community of 20 compounds may not survive if the compounds it will supply shoots up to 200 within 50 yrs.thats one of our country's problem.ee do not do population projection because wen we do census its so fraught with deceit.and so futuristic economic planning becomes difficult.even in our universities like u guys will soon see,its a very big problem... |

There is a great difference between colonization and the apertheid of south africa.colonization presupposes that nation is totally,politically and economically subject to a greater power.it is a colony,(even lesser than a client state),of a greater power. Apertheid in south africa was a politico-social doctrine founded in an already politically and economically independent state.the country already had a foreign policy with full sovereingty. so they are very different. |

Raggedy_Ann: Cooking is simple. Anyone can do it, it's about having recipes. If you're not so used to cooking a particular type of dish that you can add ingredients by "feel" and time your cooking by instinct then stick to recommended measurements and use a timer. The only thing required for culinary art that cannot be bought in the market or got off the internet is commitment. Find out what your girl thinks about it being her "responsibility" to cook for you. If she's not down with it she will screw up every meal ( my brother once burned boiled eggs! First time I saw that happen). On the other hand, she may just be the type that feels lonely in the kitchen all by herself and so she tries to get it done in a hurry with not much heart. In that case, you could keep her company even if you're not going to help out. See how it goes. I maintain: no one can say they can't cook, they just aren't trying.ur brother is cool.he only burnt the eggs.i burnt down the kitchen.cooking is not easy ooo.or maybe im not just smart...cause after spending hundreds of hours on how to prepare rice and stew im yet to produce an edible variety. |

deeptesting: I wish not to continue on this issue with you as i do not want to be seen as insensitive to Jessica`s achievement,yes,it is a good feet and i am happy with her especially on her ability to delve outside her field of study which obviously is a quality that is lacking in our youths.. My concern is for the Goodluck administration to use the resources at its disposal to bring an uninterrupted power supply to the homes of Nigerians...(Or is that too much to ask for?) This is 21st century.Of course its not too much to ask. But what im saying is that converting such a thread as this into a govt-bashing thread especially by the youth exposes a lazy mental attitude to issues.It seems like every analyses of situations is reduced to pusillanimous blame-shifting.This attitude implies an acceptance of failure.its like the nigerian youth today hv already made up the stories they would tell their kids tommorrow,and the synopsis is:"Our govt caused it." If a scientist is recognized for his work in his or her life time,good.but if not that should not be the ultimate source of satisfaction.Time and chance makes everything happen.If the political permutations make you recognized in ur lifetime for ur work,okay.if not,continue your work. i am so surprised by the lines of thought i am seeing on this thread.could it be real? 1.This is a girl that could as easily hv taken to any other life other than taking time to think out this invention being a girl.She could as easily hv gone into drugs or porn to make money. 2 .She never studied engineering.the invention was based solely on the strength of her own will power and self-education. 3.She thought out an ideology based solution,not just creativitity based technolodgy. The fact is that the greatest thing america taught her was (as she said herself ) the tendency to look for solution to problems.which is wat our youth should learn instead of a reflexive govt-bashing attitude in every turn. B2 mario: my dear why telling him 'sharrap' while it was our brothers that exposed rubbish against their brothers. Check if it is good. Would you imagined that it was akwa-ibom man that told me that he heard that imolites are lazy and very poor and that their girls engage in prostitution. I got mad and was telling him that imolites are very educated and hardworking and are even richer than my Abia, but he asked me to go to NL and facebook that i will confirm it said by anambra people, ok i got my NL ID and was following everything since 2011 without commenting and i've observed how foolish anambrarians are while i know them too well and most things they said about imo is what they are; rituality, greedy, criminality, prostitution etc. And i went to facebook and confirmed the same thing. My dear i'm sick and tired of these people, they can be deadly with these their act. Please help me and caution them because if they continue i'll go to Aba and pay them to hijack MTN caller tune and use something like 'all anambra girls are prostitutes' instead of the normal tun-tum!Of course every elder knows that in the house of every great man,there are all sorts of people,so that whatever tune u drum,u must see dancers to that tune.Of course mere looking at the thread and glancing thru the contributions shows that most of the guys arguing here r of the foolish,gourd-tapping-drunkard variety....thats still no reason for a grand- standing insult from an outsider... 1 Like |

I wasnt actually endorsing the lying issue in guys.i was just citing the reasons.Relationships should never be built on lies.And a girl should be smart enough to conceal her expectations i.e try not to let a guy know wat u desire from a future partner-be it wealth,academic prowess,emotional maturity,creativity etc.because if the guy knows and comes up short in that particular dept,he'ld certainly lie to keep the girl.Present a level playing field.learn to ignore his sweet,hypnotic voice and dramatic expressions,and listen to every word he says... Because e go heard for guy man to give up girl where him don suffer toast finish,wen a small lie go conclude the deal for am... In other words :Why tell a bitter truth when a sweet lie can serve u much better? |

or has too much salt. This has happened So many times and she plays the 'nobody is above mistake ' card with me(6 times). I can't take this anymore.. been eating pies for a while now just to avoid eating her meal when I'm coming back from work. I'm starting to believe she's the lazy type and I don't think I can continue with her like this..what do y'all suggest? This ish pisses me off when it happens
