I saw it in my Google news feed this morning. I was shocked. Chandelier, Wonderful funny and sacarstic guy. May he rest in peace. I enjoyed watching friends in the early 2000's. It was really fun.
Oga Op, That can never work in this naija. Naira will forever continue to lose value against the dollar. Since you knew about exchange rate has the naira ever made any significant improvement against the dollar? Abeg better save your money in dollars oh.
Gilgil: For those working and earning 2M and above, it no longer makes sense.
Some people who were earning large in Naija 10-12 yrs ago, like the oil boys have seen their Naira earnings increase but the real value decreased geometrically.
Imagine if you were earning 1.65M per annum in 2011, that was $10,000, but today even if you got promoted 3 times and are now earning say 4M/year, that is now $ 3,333. You have essentially lost 70% of your earnings. Same is happening to pensions. By the time you retire, your pension contributions would be worthless.
Ok, if you were earning 700,000 a month in May 28th that was $1,000, but in 4 months that is $583.
You are absolutely right with this. Our currency is a mess right now. Thanks to our useless leaders. If you can earn in foreign currency in naija. No problem. But how many people earn in foreign currency? The purchasing power of the naira is gone... Many people just want to live normal lives and take care of their families. Staying in naija presently is hell..
There is this racket that you would fill up with the powder from matches head, and use a nail to press it down, then you slam it against the wall to give a loud bang. This was before bangers and knockouts.....
Good old days when one had nothing to worry about as kids........
Chai, I remember this banger. We used to use spoke of a motor bike to do then. I miss those days. No fear of kidnapping. You can eat food in any one's home. How things have changed.
Lol. I don't blame my colleagues. The volume of patients to see is overwhelming. And by the way electronic prescription is taking over. I can't remember the last time I prescribed on paper.
Hmm, Nigerians law abiding with zero jail rate in Tasmania. But in naija the opposite is the case, not law abiding and tribalistic. So what is it that makes us that way? Just asking
I remember when one of my friends was stabbed. He was brought to the A&E by 7 pm. He needed to be taken to the theatre immediately. Do you know they left him there till the next morning when he died. He just bled out. They claimed they were preparing for the surgery. Imagine over 10 hours!!!. I just weep for naija. The country is completely gone
What fame and money does to some people beyond me. Poverty mentality. No matter the kind of money I have I can never forget my parents. It is just money for goodness sake. Money that you will leave when you die. Smh.
doctokwus: Depends on how far the gangrene has gone and if it's determined the diabetes cannot or is getting difficult to control. Once it's determined to be gangrene, amputation is the best course of action to save the patient's life because you are looking at essentially a dead foot, toe or even leg still being harboured by the body. The "deadness" would continue spreading because it's caused by toxins that have essentially eaten up the flesh. They rapidly multiply and look for other healthy parts to continue guzzling up till they basically shut down the person's entire system. But of course,a doctor can only advice a patient on what he/she considers the best course of action to preserve life first and health as best as possible. The decision cannot be forced or imposed on the person so long he/she has been made aware of possible outcomes of refusing a course of management. Wishing your friend the best but still tell him the risk to his life, unless it's not gangrene.
This is on point. He does not have time. The sooner they amputate the foot the better his survival. If not the gangrene will just spread and kill him.
It is a genetic condition called polydactyly. It is autosomal dominant by inheritance. It usually runs in families that that have a history of the condition. Nothing new here.
We don suffer for this country called naija.. Here in Saudi diesel is even cheaper than PMS. Diesel is 0.75sar. PMS is 2.3Sar. 1 Sar is 250naira. Do the maths..
This is why the country can't move forward. Forever backwards. Wicked and greedy people in high places. Why won't they pay them their allowances? They will soon cook up one story to back thier greed. It pains me when I hear stories like this.
These Leaders are funny oh. So they cannot lead by example? All their children are living abroad. They have properties scattered around the world yet they want the poor masses to endure. Una try.
