Conditional offer: 3rd of September

Unconditional offer: 7th of October

Precas interview: 3rd of November

Cas shield: 8th of November
(my old passport was to expire in August 2022 and immediately I put my passport details on my CAs shield, I received a notification from the CAs team to upload details of a renewed passport as I won’t be given CAs with a passport that will expire before the end of my studies…I had to quickly reach out to people and got a new passport within 2 weeks)

Also, I have only 1 past visa refusal which I declared to the school at the initial stage of my application and I was made to understand that Ulster’s compliance interview is only done for people with 2 or more past refusals so it was really surprising when my CAS shield was at 55% and got a mail from school on the 6th of December stating that the CAS team had scheduled a compliance interview with me cos of my past visa refusal in 2018.

Compliance interview: 10th of December

CAS:16th of December

Visa application: 20th of December

Biometric: 29th of December (walk in…slept at Ikeja tls for 4days…story for another day)

Application moved to DMC: 29th of December

Application received at DMC: 29th of December

NSF mail: 17th of January..I have 11years study gap but eco only requested for my most recent work or education reference

Submission of additional document: 19th of January and sent another document on the 22nd of January

Application moved to Vac: 28th of January

Collection mail: 28th of January (very late at night)

Passport pick up: 31st of January

Documents submitted: Pof, Tb cert, Neco, Bsc cert and Cas

I did my biometric at Ikeja tls on the 29th of December and got a mail from Sheffield this afternoon requesting for this

“ Please provide the following documents:
Most recent evidence of any education you have undertaken or any evidence of recent or previous employment.”

My study gap is 11years.

I am putting this up cos of the lady who is requesting to know if anyone who did biometric on the 29th has received any mail from UKVI

I did my biometric (walk in) at TLS Ikeja on the 29th after sleeping at TLS for 4 days. The process is that you go there during the day (morning preferably) to write your name on a list and return at 12am each day (until it gets to your turn to enter TLs center) when the person in charge of the list marks attendance by calling people’s names and strikes off the name of anyone that doesn’t answer present when their name is mentioned. Alternatively, if you are willing to part with 40/50k, you may approach the touts to sell their slot to you….I do not intend to scare you but Tls ikeja is a war zone. I literally watched people that came for walk in exchange blows on different days.
The environment is safe at midnight and there are two popular hotels around (TDH and Presken) you can lodge incase you don’t want to sleep on tables or have a car to sleep in.

I got my Cas yesterday….my Cas shield was sent 3days after my pre Cas interview. if you are experiencing any delay, it’s important you write to them ASAP.

Its been a super long journey but God has been good and kind to me!!!

Nigeria frustrated me baje.

To collect transcript, to renew passport, hmmm.

The day I went for capturing for my passport renewal, I got there at 7am and at 4pm when it was my turn to capture, I was told my passport was not activated, so I can't capture, I cried ehn. No be small tears that day. Captured 3 days later.

Eventually came out after 6 weeks.

Then after paying school fees through 3rd party, biggest mistake! School said they don't accept 3rd party payment, I should provide all my forefather's document before they can apply it for me, I took it to God and eventually after a month, they confirmed it and credited it to my name. I still had to make another payment through the bank.

Through all the ups and downs, I held on to God's word which says "I'll never leave you nor forsake you". And He never did!

Got admission - 23rd July
POF matured - 7th Sept
CAS issued 14th Sept
Applied 16th Sept
Bio-metrics - 17th Sept
NSF mail - 22nd Sept
Collection mail - 4th Oct

Please for Aston university students in the house, did you submit pof or do pre cas interview before cas was issued? Also, once deposit is made, how long does it take to get CAs and what’s the payment plan like?

Please I need advise on what to do about my passport…. I already have offer from a school and will be paying deposit soon but my passport will expire next year August and I am confused if to continue using it like that or renew it now before applying for visa so as to avoid any future issue(s) now and especially when I am already in the UK.

Hello people, please how true is it that visa processing for prospective Nigerian students going to study in Canada ( University of Manitoba to be precise) is done in Canadian embassy located in Nairobi .

It was probably staged cos the camera was already positioned on them and rolling before the lady made an attempt to back the guy.

And if it wasn't staged, i really hope they had good reasons for doing that

My first UK visa in Nov was to Manchester. I was sceptical about Manchester but didn't want to stop in London just because I want to use London as my destination. I don't think it should be a problem, also mention tourist places in Manchester
