Car TalkThe World Longest And Worst Traffic Jam Ever In History-lasted 12 Days- VIDEO by oskaaay(op): 9:00pm On Jul 09, 2014
Browsing through history (autoevolution) I discovered that the inevitable had happened in the past on our roads and it’s hard to find someone to blame. Back in August 2010, China was crowned the unofficial “host” of the mother of all traffic jams, with a huge car panorama that stretched for more than 62 miles (100 km) and lasted for 12 days.

Imagine if you were trapped in similar traffic jam. What will you do either as car owner, hired driver or even passenger?

A life touching story:
https://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/2614823/3/stock-photo-2614823-pulling-off-panties.jpg

I USED to be that innocent girl who had the world at her feet. I was beautiful and I had eyes and hips that could make men sway, and to top it all up, I was a Christian, a very good Christian with a heart burning for God.

When I entered the university, I met a guy, his name was Derrick. I couldn't believe my luck the first time I bumped into him on my way to class. He had such a kind smile and a tender look that weakened my knees when he spoke.

Because I was late for class we couldn’t talk much but barely three weeks later, I met him at the fresher’s night party and I was overwhelmed. We got talking and I found out that he was in his second year and from that night, we became an inseparable pair. At first, we were friends and as months passed by, we got closer and closer and the chemistry between us was undeniable.

About a year after I entered the university, Derrick and I started dating. He was everything a girl could ever want and desire save the fact that he wasn’t so much of a Christian. Derrick had magical hands that made him hard to resist and most times I fell for it. At first, I felt bad but when I couldn’t help falling into the same pit I killed the guilt on my inside. And then one day, one of my friends said I was getting fatter and that got me thinking and in the process I began to link the dots…first I had a vomiting spree every morning which I thought was due to a flu and then I had this morning sickness which I felt was due to stress and then my missing period…oh no it can’t be possible I said to myself, I couldn’t be pregnant!!!

After a series of tests outside school, I realized the deadliest truth: I was indeed pregnant. I was only nineteen, I still had a whole life ahead of me, what was I going to do? I couldn't tell my parents, they wouldn't hear of it. I had to go to Derrick to tell him what I had found out.

On telling him, I saw him fly into a temper I had never seen in my life. He was so hysterical, calling me all sorts of names and I didn't even know when I started crying heart drenching tears of hurt and betrayal. When he looked into my eyes he must have realized how scared and hurt I was and so he pulled me close and ran his hands through my hair until I had calmed down and then he said to me in the most subtle voice ever: “why don’t you have an abortion?”. I pulled back instantly, I couldn’t have an abortion! But when he talked about my parents and the sanctioning of the school and the fellowship which I belonged to, I knew I had no other choice.

Derrick had made all the arrangements and so on the supposed day we went to the room-like clinic. I shivered all through my way there but Derrick kept telling me that it would be okay and that he was proud that I made such a brave decision. When I entered into the room where the abortion was supposed to take place, I laid down on the table trying to dissociate my mind from what I was about to do and then a young man told me sternly, “you know I can’t perform this procedure with your underwear on” and then I began to pull it off. As I did this, a sense of guilt overwhelmed me, first I had pulled off my underwear of pleasure and now I was pulling it off to get rid of the stigma the pleasure had brought…what a shame, I felt so exposed.

All through the times that I felt instruments coming in and out of me, I kept thinking of the lady I had become and the hypocrite I had transformed into. I let out a sigh, only if I can get through this I muttered… only if…and then I felt a sharp pain pierce through the whole of my body, I screamed but then the doctor told me to be quiet. I felt another pain but this time I bit my lip and then the pain began to come in successions. I instinctively knew that something was wrong but I was too weak to talk or to move and then I heard the voices of Derrick and the doctor talking about the fact that I was bleeding excessively. The pain was so unbearable and I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker. With the last strength in me, I pleaded with God “Oh Lord, I’m so sorry for taking my underwear off, please forgive me.” and I drifted into a world where the pain seemed less hurtful and the voices seemed more distant.

Friends, our bodies are the temple of the Lord… Do not take off your underwear when the time is not right. Lots of girls who gained admission into the university as virgins eventually lost it so cheaply to guys who have nothing to do with their

destinies. In a bid to get a certificate, they sold out a destiny that certificate cannot guarantee.

Friends, permit me to say it for the umpteenth time, even if you have lost your virginity, you can become chaste again! Record a period of virginity from a particular time till marriage and in the presence of God, you are as chaste as someone who has known no man because you have chosen to honor Him again despite your past.

Virtuous women aren’t in bed with their fiancé right now. If he is sleeping with you…he’s sleeping with others. Yup, you are not the only one. A boyfriend, even a long term one, is STILL not a husband. Too many women are giving boyfriends husband privileges! We keep losing what is rightfully ours because we keep messing with what’s not ours. There is just something classy about a woman who can control her emotions!

Many have been laid on the slab of abortion, yet they keep involving in activities that will take them back on that slab! Risking it all!

Please, DON’T TAKE OFF YOUR UNDERWEAR! Any man who has not signed his life to you is not worth it!

I discovered that I have hard nails (not easy to cut) and most times it breaks blades in the cause of cutting it off especially the toe-nails seems hardest. Due to this I tried many things to solve it but non worked well until I discovered a natural solution that I will disclose to my readers here.

The natural and simple solution is that I make sure I take my birth before cutting my nails as it becomes so soft that it will not even brake while trimming it down.

Hope this helps someone. Try it and comment and if you know any other method that anyone can use naturally please also add it below.

ujsizzle: Came across this, and thought it worth sharing.

This recent piece, written by Todd Hirsch, the Calgary-based chief economist of ATB Financial and author of "The Boiling Frog Dilemma: Saving Canada from Economic Decline", will serve our young graduates as they navigate the job market, even in this most difficult time. The message is simple: whatever your hand finds to do, begin from there. I am well aware that the Nigerian terrain is quite different from the Canadian one on which the author based his thesis but the inherent lesson cuts across boundaries as it simply teaches that fresh graduates should be wise. Here is what Todd Hirsch wrote:

HealthRe: NAFDAC Begins Enforcement For Mobile Authentication Service Nationwide - by oskaaay(m): 5:02am On Jul 08, 2014
Tosusa: National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has commenced enforcement of the deadline for implementation of the Mobile Authentication Service, MAS by pharmaceutical companies nationwide.

The enforcement operation which started last week in Abuja under the auspices of the Pharmacovigilance and Post Marketing Surveillance Directorate of NAFDAC was geared towards mopping up from circulation all anti-malarial and anti-biotic medicines that do not carry on their labels, the MAS scratch and text authentication codes introduced in 2010 by the Agency to save consumers from the menace of fake drugs.

Director-General of NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii who is currently celebrated worldwide for introducing multi-layered anti-counterfeiting technology has vowed that there was no going back on enforcement of compliance with the MAS deadline which has previously been shifted twice in the last three years due to plea for more time by segment of the pharmaceutical industry.

Orhii said NAFDAC has the full support of the President and Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu to enforce implementation of the service in a bid to eradicate counterfeit drugs in the country.

He disclosed that firm instruction has been given to all NAFDAC offices across the country to go round various pharmaceutical outlets to enforce compliance as deadline is irreversible and sacrosanct.

”The scratch and text service (MAS) has put the power of detecting counterfeit drugs in the hands of over 100 million mobile phone users in the country,” he added.

Orhii stated that the international community is full of commendation for Nigeria for pioneering the use of cutting-edge technologies in combating counterfeit medicines.

EducationRe: NECO Shocks Students With Upgraded Examination. by oskaaay(m): 4:56am On Jul 08, 2014
Ericardo7: Many students currently writing the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the National Examinations Commission (NECO) had to chew the cover of their pens today as the examination body surprised them with upgraded means of conducting the exams. One of the rescheduled subjects-Mathematics-was written today and those who wrote said they did not understand how the exam was conducted.
One of such means was the use of Paper Type. This medium which must have been adopted from that of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) was the one that hit students, especially the ones that wrote in "Miracle Centres" the hardest.
A student of High Standard Comprehensive High School, In Delta State complained bitterly to me after their exams. "Na God go punish NECO.", he cried. "When they brought the question papers, our maths teacher just collect one question paper go dey solve am for us inside him office. After like thirty minutes, the guy come inside hall. he dictate objective, all of us shade. Later dem come copy theory for board, all of us copy am take. Na about ten minutes make exam finish Na we come dey hear say one thing Na paper type. before we know d invigilator collect everything from us. The Paper Type wey d mumu Uncle write Na C and me I be type A".
Many students were found complaining, crying and some even rolling on the floor.
Most of the ones crying were heard making d statement "NECO, Diaris God ooooooo".
God will bless NECO and those that planned it...STUDENTS there is Godooooooooooooooo toooooooo...... grin shocked grin

PoliticsN500m Money Laundering Charges: Ikuforiji Makes “no Case Submission” by oskaaay(op): 4:22am On Jul 08, 2014
A Federal High Court in Lagos, has fixed Friday the 11th of July to rule on a “no case submission” made by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji. As sourced from http://www.channelstv.com/2014/07/07/n500m-money-laundering-charges-ikuforiji-makes-case-submission/
https://www.channelstv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Adeyemi-Ikuforiji-300x217.png
Hon Ikuforiji is standing trial alongside his aide, Oyebode Atoyebi, on an amended 56 count charge of laundering about N500 million of the Lagos State House of Assembly funds.

Justice Ibrahim Buba reserved ruling after the defence counsel, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) made the no case submission on behalf of his client before the court.

Adopting his submissions, Olanipekun argued that the prosecution had not in any way, made out a case against the accused to warrant him entering the dock to open his defence.

Citing a plethora of authorities, the learned silk argued that the office of a speaker of House of Assembly of a state was constitutionally created, and so, by parity of reasoning, the first accused was sovereign as presently constituted.

He noted that the charge against the accused largely dwelt on transacting with funds above the threshold stipulated by the Money Laundering Act and not necessarily whether they were in cash or not.

He also argued that the accused had not been involved in any transaction within the contemplation of the Act, since all funds collected on his behalf, were based on requisition notes which were approved and handed over to banks, before cash was received.

He concluded that the National Assembly would not have contemplated by the enactment of the Act, that the accused who had only obtained funds officially for the benefit of the Assembly, would now stand trial for performing his official duties.

Chief Olanipekun also pointed out that the prosecution failed to demonstrate elements of conspiracy between the accused persons, he therefore, submitted that prosecution had not made out any case against the accused, for which he was expected to now enter a defence.

Counsel to the the Speaker’s aide, Mr Tunde Akinrimisi, aligned himself with the submissions of Chief Olanipekun.

In response to the submissions of the defence counsel, the prosecutor, Chief Godwin Obla (SAN), urged the court to disregard the arguments of the counsel, and order the accused persons to open their defence.

Obla argued that the confessional statement of the accused persons before the EFCC, was enough evidence on their admission of having transacted with cash of the Assembly, about 57 times.

Aaaaah...NairaLanders what is your take on this?

karlmax2: JULY 7, 2014 BY ADELANI ADEPEGBA, ABUJA

Troops have cleared and taken over Balmo forest in a military operation that lasted throughout the weekend.

Prior to the operation, Balmo forest, stretching from Bauchi through Jigawa states with links to the fringes of Sambisa forest, was used by the terrorists as bases and hideouts for launching attacks.

A statement by the Director, Defence Information, Maj.Gen. Chris Olukolade, in Abuja on Monday, said terrorists  and armed gangs, operating in the forests, were completely rooted out while some were captured during the operation.

It however did not specify the number of those arrested during the operation, but said two foreigners, suspected to be mercenaries, were among those captured.

Also recovered were several weapons and equipment including power generating sets, communication equipment, vehicles, motorcycles, foodstuff and kitchen utensils.

In another development, over 44 terrorists have died in Kerenoa and adjoining communities, following an encounter with troops who repelled an attack on the communities.

Armed with Improvised Explosive Devices and other high caliber weapons, a large number of terrorists had carried out a predawn attack on the communities but met with stiff resistance from the troops.

During the operation, several of them were captured as well as weapons and ammunition of various calibre, according to the Defence headquarters.

“Meanwhile, troops on routine patrol around Banki and Miyanti in Borno State during the weekend fought through an ambush laid by terrorists resulting in casualties on both sides.

“Altogether, a total of six soldiers were lost in the various encounters with terrorists while those wounded are receiving treatment,” the statement added.
