PoliticsRe: Patrick Obahiagbon, On Nigerian Pastors And Private Jet by OsunOriginal: 10:38pm On Nov 25, 2012
odum desmond: My problem with ur likes is that u cry more than the bereaved, has any person who gives tithes and offering ever come to u to complain about ur perceived exploitation? Surely those of us who "s*tupidly" give tithes and offering and also "st*upidly" get blessed in giving don't complain at all, infact I ve emptied my pocket several times for God and ve never failed to get double fold blessings in return, there is a mystery many pple re not aware of, it works for us and we can't just stop giving because ur type re crying out. My papa Bishop Oyedepo started out morethan 30 years back from a thatched roof church in a remote village, he was a graduate with prospects in a Nigeria of that time when employers would come to plead with u on the day of ur graduation to work for them, with huge tempting offers of salary, accommodation and even car; but he chose God, he chose to become a preacher than work , he was rejected by his dominantly Muslim family, he was mocked at, his parents felt they had lost a son, but he held on to what he believed in. Today, after all his suffering, he has in turn become raised by God and people are talkin, where were u wen he was goin thru all these for God, life teaches that there is no limit to which a man can get if he remains dedicated, committed and upright, he chose these and he is not only blessed but has become a blessing to thousands employed in several businesses he has. He doesn't ve to earn from church offering or tithe, he also has interest in businesses and has access to the best brains to work for him. Let me even ask, a church that has more than a million memeber world wide, shud owing private jet be too much? Have u read about Kenneth Copeland, his church has as at 3 years back given away about 25 jets as gifts to other ministries world wide. Is jet too big for God's work? Would we rather have a man who would teach decency, love, morals, fear of God, etc to fly on private jet just to meet preaching schedules world wide than give same private jet a Hollywood porn star/ artiste who only needs it to fly all over the world to promote nudity and immorality? The place we call Cannan land at Ota before Oyedepo came was a thick forest, the church has turned it to the best city in Nigeria, nobody is commending him and the church, Adeboye lived at Redeemed camp ground alone when it was a jungle with only him and his wife, surrounded by bush, no electricity, pipe borne water etc their kids refused living, with them there, today it has become a city like none in Nigeria in terms of organisation and facilities, a fit no Govt with billions of oil money in Nigeria has accomplished , yet for them to fly on small 10 passenger private jet is causing uproar in Nigeria. God is watching us all. I believe that a man who has paid so much that many other re unwilling to pay should enjoy what others are not entitled to, all pastors can't be on same level.
Would you shut up your evil mouth? It is your likes that use human parts for rituals only to come out shouting Jesus of Nazareth when you know no power comes from your lies but only from the the ritual and the juju that you make in the night. Evil people...
CrimeRe: I Sold Human Parts To Churches And Ritual Killers – Joshua by OsunOriginal: 9:55am On Nov 25, 2012
Sirniyeh: Hello my people,
If you monitor my posts, you will know that I've always said it that some top pastors in nigeria are ritualists. I mean it. The victim here did not mistakenly mention church name. Its confirmed.
The human part is not used by the churches for money ritual, it is used for pulling crowd. You know that when there is crowd, money will flow in to buy jet.
Watchout they shall soon be exposed. I hope they will allow the man confess and they dont hide the identity of his client. But if a bishop name is mention, some will still critisize it and not believe. May God help us in this nigeria.
How are we sure the churches are not using this for money as well? Evil people can do anything - after all these devilish acts, they will start shouting Jesus. Interesting people.

SamAfrik: Please dont drag CAN to this. Overwhelming support for Aregbesola came from chrisitans. Or do you suggest we start voting according to religious inclinations in the west?
And who wins in osun state if voting is along religious line?

sunkoye: Have you ever met a man who is the center of attention wherever he goes? Some mysterious, indefinable characteristic sets him apart from all other men. Well, that’s the way it was two thousand years ago with Jesus Christ. But it wasn’t merely Jesus’ personality that captivated those who heard him. Those who witnessed his words and life tell us that something about Jesus of Nazareth was different from all other men.

Jesus’ only credentials were himself. He never wrote a book, commanded an army, held a political office, or owned property. He mostly traveled within a hundred miles of his village, attracting crowds who were amazed at his provocative words and stunning deeds.

Yet Jesus’ greatness was obvious to all those who saw and heard him. And while most great people eventually fade into history books, Jesus is still the focus of thousands of books and unparalleled media controversy. And much of that controversy revolves around the radical claims Jesus made about himself—claims that astounded both his followers and his adversaries.

It was primarily Jesus’ unique claims that caused him to be viewed as a threat by both the Roman authorities and the Jewish hierarchy. Although he was an outsider with no credentials or political powerbase, within three years, Jesus changed the world for the next 20 centuries. Other moral and religious leaders have left an impact—but nothing like that unknown carpenter’s son from Nazareth.

What was it about Jesus Christ that made the difference? Was he merely a great man, or something more?

These questions get to the heart of who Jesus really was. Some believe he was merely a great moral teacher; others believe he was simply the leader of the world’s greatest religion. But many believe something far more. Christians believe that God has actually visited us in human form. And they believe the evidence backs that up.

C. S. Lewis initially considered Jesus a myth. But this literary genius who knew myths well, concluded that Jesus had to have been a real person. Furthermore, as Lewis investigated the evidence for Jesus, he became convinced that not only was Jesus real, but he was unlike any man who had ever lived. Lewis writes,
And if we also begin to talk about Timi Agbale Olofa Ina - how powerful he was during his time. Fire could come out from his mouth and his arrow - Very strange fellow as well.
Christianity EtcRe: The Difference Between The Average Nairaland Muslim And Nairaland Christian by OsunOriginal: 10:49pm On Nov 24, 2012
tpia1: some muslims are intellectuals.

there's just not many of them on nl, and the few who are, have to keep quiet for the sake of peace.

[i suppose].
Muslim intellectuals don't have time for noise making - have you ever asked why it looks like there are more Christians in south west than muslims?

Christianity and Igbos - is it that Christianity is not rubbing off on Igbos or there is no moral teaching in Christianity ?

Karleb: Thank u jare op,well as for me i never believe those demonic pix to be Jesus because mere luking at those pix most of them resemble female, however my advise 2 d catholic churches is dat dey should stop worshiping idols and focus on Jesus who is d author and finisher of our faith, Beside d Lord has commanded us nt 2 bow down 4 any image i see no reason y we should bow down 4 image because a label has been attached 2 it.
The Catholic churches are worshipping idol while the pentecostals are chasing posperity though claiming to be worshipping Jesus. Tell me which of this should make sense to a normal person. Where is God in all these? Or is Jesus your God?
PoliticsRe: ACN Loses Another LG Seat to the PDP In Lagos by OsunOriginal: 7:01pm On Nov 23, 2012
Gradually they will lose the whole of Lagos but not to PDP. I hate earing that name (PDP). You can't be running an elitish government and you expect the poor people to continue to vote for you. I think Tinubu is the problem of ACN. The earlier ACN dissociates itself from Tinubu, the better for the future of the party.

A government is assessed by the value it adds to the poor, not how earsier it makes life for the rich. Learn from Obama guys - you need to focus on the poor neighbourhoods dumbos.
