Except u will have to religiously wait for that 20 percent and hope they are also interested in you too. Cheers.. |

Zxcvbnmghtr:
The bolded summerises it all. Thank you. Despite you acceptance of this FACT, it doesn't play out that way due to societal culture. Majority of women are married to men who ideally she would never have selected if it's women who marry men. Majority of women just want to settle down and accept fate. But limiting it to attractiveness is not absolute because humans are different. Not all women are into attractive men. There need to be some of musculinity, strength, financial stability and power on the part of the man. Also, sexual performance too matters even tho we pretend that it's not important in the beginning. Some pretty women just fall for men that are not attractive and u just can't explain why? The reason why everybody dey carry fine girlfriend and fine boyfriend for head these days na make u for fit post ena two pictures for social media and pepper every body. |

Zxcvbnmghtr: It's absolutely not the same in anyway as far as majority of societal culture today is about. Absolutely not the same. It's mostly men who marry women. You still haven't comprehended the simple fact and reality that if it's the other way round, majority of you men 80% and above will be without a wife. Let me say this in the language I guess you understand. Over 80% of you men are SIMPS and BORING, UNATTRACTIVE not ROMANTIC and SEXUALLY WEAK.! How many women are really attractive if we are to be truthful? Na cream most of ena dey rub to beautify ena self. So many organics and scrubs. High bodily maintenance. Is that what u call beauty? If men starts applying those lotions on their body, they will look very attractive too. Besides a woman's beauty doesn't last long with age and I have noticed that some women are not as attractive as they look from afar. That said, men are not too selective. They can forgo many criteria. Some men just want anything that have virginal. That's why tall men don't mind marrying short women. Slim men won't mind fat women and so on. But a tall women will hardly look at a short man. Women are more selective. If men are as selective as women, 80% of women will not see husband too. Ps. Most women I have encountered are not intellectually sound. If u are not taking about sex or u are trying to bring up difficult conversations, they label u as boring. |

It's about falling heads over heels for these few men like the one that has arouse your curiousity above. We will be so willingly to share him among ourselves. It's the same thing that is also happening with women too. The pretty girls enjoy most of the attention. It's just lack of confidence and money that makes some men settle for what they feel is not their spec. They go just use am hold body. Watch a poor man makes money and see the kind of ladies he would go for. |

The truth is, if by societal programming, I mean cultural settings we are left to marry who we sincerely desire alone, more than 80% of men will be without a wife. FACT!!! Your conclusion is so flawed. If women start toasting men the way men do, they will be rejected almost at the same rate women reject men. |

Though you lot said the refinery won't even work till Jesus.
He is producing diesel first for his trucks and generators......if you ain't ok with that kindly build your own. Oga, I never said that the refinery won't work. I was only stating facts. It will work or become fully operational when all the other units are fully completed and not because he wants to first produce diesel for trucks. Even in the business point of view, petrol have a greater greater market than diesel. So why do u think he will just want to produce only diesel and leave petrol ? |
Politics › Re: Why Dangote Is Producing Diesel And Aviation Fuel Firstly by otemeh01(m): 5:10pm On Jan 13, 2024 |
Pecoleee345: In as much i would have love to go deeper into discussing dangote group and all the lies told against them over the years , I will just answer the question some ignorant follow are asking why the refinery is producing diesel and aviation fuel first instead of PMS.
Most Nigeria companies move there goods with trucks and this truck are diesel powered. Dangote group infact has the highest number of truck moving around everyday.
Diesel is more important for production than pms, most companies have diesel powered generator so it make alot of sense to produce that first.
Aviation fuel is kerosene, most homes don't use kerosene anymore but our planes need it. The major reason why flights fee when ridiculously high was because of cost of importing aviation fuel, with it now available locally price will likely drop for local flights majorly.
I hope you ignorant fellows can understand it makes alot of sense to have diesel first so our companies can come alive and transportation fees of moving goods will reduce once diesel price go down which will automatically impact price of goods. Please delete this entire post. It recks of ignorance. If you are conversant with the news, it is said that the other unit are not ready yet. Why this so? Crude oil refining goes beyond your normal chemistry in secondary school. Yeah, u were told that when u have crude oil and it's under goes fractional distillation, u get PMS, diesel, kerosene and so on. In the actual sense and in the engineering, the starting unit is the crude distillation unit ( CDU) where the fractional distillation takes place. U get fuel gas, light straight run, heavy straight run, Naphtha both light and heavy, kerosene and so on. The heavy Naphtha can be blended to get PMS but the gasoline (petrol) u get in the CDU is of low grade and not even in commercial quantity. Now the residue (heavy component) from the CDU is called heavy gas oil (HGO) is sent to another unit called the Fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU). This unit is an entirely separate unit and this is where gasoline (petrol) is mainly produced is commercial quantity and blended or sweetened in high grade PMS. If this unit is not ready, u are not yet ready to produce PMS. I am taking based on an experienced point of view. So stop saying jargons. |

SalamRushdie: If you know how fractional distillation works you will not say this , all products are run in one swoop Sir, that's chemistry knowledge. In chemical engineering crude distillation only produce a small quantity of gasoline (petrol) which is not even situable of use because of it low octane number. The major unit that produces the bulk of petrol is the fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCC). The FCC will use residue from the crude distillation unit (CDU) called heavy gas oil or residue from Vaccum distillation unit (VDU) called Vaccum gas oil to produce a much higher grade of petrol and at a commercial quantity. If the FCC is not ready, u can't reply on the small low grade petrol produced on ordinary fractional distillation... NB. I'm talking from a experience. |
Food › Re: What Is The Cost Of A Plate Of Food At The Road Side Resturants In Your Area? by otemeh01(m): 12:16pm On Oct 06, 2023 |
BoldBrainz: Well, as stated on that first comment you quoted, these prices vary according to locations and economic realities.
A teacher friend of mine lives in Jahi, Abuja. Earns about a hundred grand. When he doesn't cook for an entire month, he spends at most 32K on feeding. He eats twice, then noodles most nights or local hamburger (Akara and bread). When he cooks for the same period, his expenses total at 38K.
So typically, he prefers to eat out because it's relatively cheaper for him and it saves him time and energy that he almost never even has on the extra side. He has just sundays to himself. Every other day, school teaching in the morning, private home lessons in the evening, even on Saturdays.
So these things are subjective. But having lived across states, I long found more cost convenience in eating out than having to cook. Besides, I'm not one to eat one meal more than twice. E dey tire me. So why cook a meal you'll end up giving out or wasting?! Yeah, I get your point. If u factor in the stress of going to the market and time used in cooking, eating out is better. But eating out in Abuja is less expensive than eating out in porthacourt. U won't get filled. Trust me. Then again, what of the hygiene? Because u are not going to be patronising all those high end restaurants that takes cooking hygiene serious. Na just mama put. U have to factor in the hygiene of the person u are eating from. God help u that there is water scarcity in the environment u are eating out from. My brother just make sure to deworm every 2 months. |

BoldBrainz: Lol. I like your detailed and measured responses.
You however didn't tell me if these prices you've listed are a reflection of the current market rates.
And your assumptions about me are at best, exaggerated..😊. Lol. I am happy with your response. They are current market reality although u have to understand that within a state, there are places where food stuff are more expensive and where they are cheap. Na the place wen cheap I dey go buy. I'm also cutting cost because I don't earn a million naira monthly. So I cannot be having a pot of soup full of assorted. Lol. But I eat a balanced diet. |
Food › Re: What Is The Cost Of A Plate Of Food At The Road Side Resturants In Your Area? by otemeh01(m): 11:27am On Oct 06, 2023 |
BoldBrainz: I'm having a hard time processing some details in this your write-up:
First, is this your budget reflecting current market prices? Cause I was in PH to see a cousin about 2weeks ago and some of these your prices are unrealistic compared to what I witnessed.
Second, how is it possible for someone who puts on the cooker everyday to use 2kg of gas for a month? You have to teach me how that works.
Third, are you insinuating that you eat 1K fish for a week? That is supposed to be one long tilapia or "scumbia" fish, and you feed on that for 7 days? Lol.
Fourth, do you mean to say your diet revolves around rice, beans, noodles and soups? Like, you never explore other dietary options? If so, I can't exactly say I envy you right now.
And I'm guessing you omitted garri, semo and fufu by error, yes? I'm open to corrections. Alright. I have edited some of what I wrote earlier so u should be able to understand them better now. Be like say na butty u be this one wen u nor too sabi pidgin English. Now saying my food revolves around rice, beans , noodles and soup is confusing because what else I'm I supposed to cook? Do u expect me to bake bread or make shawarma or even grow my own fruits. I excluded these this because even if u eat full time at road side vendors, u will still need to buy fruits, bread and tea materials. I saw talking about a budget strictly on our Nigerian food. And yes, they are in reality with current market price. Go to the market and not a supermarket and see things for your self. For the gas, 2kg carries me a month. Like I said, I stay alone and do not receive visitors very often. My gas is regulated to burn on low to moderate flame. I do not need the excess heat so I don't open it on full blast as I mostly observe many people do. I even discovered that u are in the living room of some people and you can even hear the sound of their gas burner burning on full blast. That's waste of heat and fuel. Furthermore, for Ur taste and quality of food that you eat judging from your write up. because u seem to me like someone that enters a restaurant and order for chicken and not meat and soft drinks to wash down and not water, you would be averaging 5k daily when u eat out. Ps. I have a moderate appetite and I heat healthy. Garri is #1800 for a rubber. I don't do garri. I buy wheat because of my sugar level. A medium bag of wheat cost me #4000 and It last me for two months. In the north, we measure grains in mudu. In the south, we use custard rubber to measure. So when I say a rubber of beans, it means a custard rubber measure full of beans. Do u get? |
Food › Re: What Is The Cost Of A Plate Of Food At The Road Side Resturants In Your Area? by otemeh01(m): 10:49am On Oct 06, 2023*. Modified: 11:12am On Oct 06, 2023 |
BoldBrainz: In Abuja:
A mudu of rice is 1400. A mudu of beans is 1200. A mudu of garri is between 900 and 1000. A tuber of yam is at least 1200. Five fingers of plantain sell for 1300. A kilo of beef is 2800. A kilo of fish is 2600. A kilo of chicken is 3000. (All prices are subject to location and economic suitability variations).
Please, kindly enumerate what quantity of those major food items he's going to buy that will keep him going for a month, while he considers other minor cooking items.
While you're at it, please don't forget that a 6Kg cylinder of gas now sells for 6K.
I'll respond further when you've done the needful. Bro, I like how u enumerated it and I feel I am the right person to answer you because I stay alone and even in PH. Now, there was a time I thought cooking was too expensive and time consuming. So I wrote a budget and went to a normal road side food vendor. Note, she was even one of the cheapest. A plate of soup with just one eba, cost #600. I nor even belle full. That food can't carry me still evening. Then evening, say I buy food of #500, it means I will average spend #1100-1200 daily while being under fed. The meat sef nor big o. If u are not lucky, na bone cartilage they serve u as meat. So for 30 days, I should be spending roughly 35k for mama put, while eating minimal.. Now, I stay alone. 2kg of gas which is #2000 carries me for 1month. That one don commot.. I buy ice fish of #1000, per week. Fish is more expensive than meat. So in a month, fish budget is #4000. Tomato and pepper weekly is #600. It will make stew and soup for me for a week.. total in a month is #2400. Beans 1 rubber is #2500. That can last 1 month and 2 weeks.. rice half rubber #2800. That will last one month. Mimee noodles #3800. One month. Egusi 2cups #1000. It will carry one month. Ogbono #1500. 1 bottle of palmOil #900. 1 bottle of power oil#1600. This one dey carry me almost two month sef. Vegetable in a month #2000. Miscellaneous #3000. Total of everything here cannot exceed #25k and I go eat well and even guage. So how is mama put cheaper |

Politics › Re: Greed: Why Dangote Refinery May End Up Like Ajaokuta Steel by otemeh01(m): 6:56pm On Jun 25, 2023 |
Zionmdde: Bro @bolded try and use Google a little. Stop mixing LPG with LNG. There is no refrigeration in production of LPG, there is no tangible compression too. Refrigeration of gas is a cryogenic process meant for transportation and not production. LPGs are products of condensation and not refrigeration. Actually ANOH is just a gas processing plant and not even the only one. We have gas processing plants in almost all Associated gas fields. It is meant to reduce gas flare. But u see that large gas deposits you guys are talking of, the natural gas from those wells does not need any processing plant, they are non associated gas and they are lean from source
I will wrap up my stand this: 1. CNG cannot replace petrol in the next 30years because natural gas production (not deposit ooo) is far less than natural gas demand 2. There is no electric cars replacing any petrol cars 3. Dangote refinery is nothing like ajaokuta steel because it is privately owned, hence those stupid government things won't affect it. Let's even say Nigerians stop buying, dangote wants to export his products Well, there is compression and refrigeration in LPG production. I work with syn gas so I know about compression and refrigeration of gases which applies the same principle even with petroleum gases. I also did put a call to a friend that works in a gas plant and he told me they do compression and refrigeration in the process of making LPG. All that being said, you can't say CNG can't replace petrol because the world moves fast. Who would have thought in the 2000s that we will have a phone that we be able to have a camera and surf the internet. Who would have thought China phones would be able to phase out blackberry but here we are. Man is always improving on processes. CNG cars and electric cars might take over sooner than expected. Keep an open mind... |

Zionmdde: All gas processing plants make use of compressor, u are very correct. But a compressor used for gas processing cannot even raise gas pressure enough to push gas kilometers talk less of compressing it. Bro sorry to say this u are a bit naive, but you are still trying LPG is not obtained as a result of compression, it is not LNG. LPG is obtained from wet natural gas or refining petroleum, compression is not one of the main processes. Infact the compressor there is to push gas just like pushing water.
That being said, ANOH won't produce any CNG Well, LPG is obtained as a result of compression and refrigeration. They are all gas and not liquid in its natural state. To liquefy LPG, u just have to compress it and u will need a reciprocating compressor for that at least. Compressors required for CNG production on the other hand are extremely powerful compressor. So if ANOH decides to install such compressor in their facilities, they would produce CNG. I haven't visited that facility so I can't say about that. Cheers. Ps. As long as u are dealing with gas, u need a compressor for transportation and compression.. |
