Religion.

This is mankind's biggest hindrance on our next step of evolution as a species.

Religion has been the biggest curlpit all through human history - sponsoring countless genocides.

If nothing is done, the current situation in Afghanistan will be child's play when compared to Nigeria.

I hope our eyes are all open now.

Science/Technology › Re: Optimus: Elon Musk Is Building A Lifelike Human Tesla ROBOT Next Year (Pix) by oteneaaron(m): 9:44pm On Aug 21, 2021
History just has a way of repeating itself.

According to ancient stories of the creation of man, the Anunakis created man to work on their mine fields.

These early humans were just like robots without emotions.

But they became "wise" and rebeled against their masters.

And now at this age and time, we are doing exactly the same thing with robots.

What happens when AI grows emotions and consciousness?

Another pure case of the kettle calling the pot black.

If only people could just read their bibles and communicate with God directly.

You don't need any of these fake ass intermediaries calling themselves Pastors or Prophets.

You need only Jesus.

God is a spirit, and must be worshiped in spirit and truth.

Politics › Re: Check And Balance: Why Is The Executive Arm Always Having Its Way? by oteneaaron(m): 5:43am On Aug 01, 2021
It's like running a business that is supposed to be a partnership.

Every arm of Government should be independent enough to hold each department responsible.

We live in unfortunate times.

Our lawmakers are rubber stamped.

Our Judiciary is even encouraging the Executive to not respect the law.
Politics › Re: History: Photo Of Major General Aguiyi Ironsi, Adekunle Fajuyi, Ojukwu & Others by oteneaaron(m): 5:36am On Aug 01, 2021
The only way to understand the present and the future, is to observe and understand the past.

Even though it is true that the Victors only write their own version of history, we must learn about the truth of our collective past.

Without any bias, we must understand our history, only then can we have the wisdom to survive the present and navigate the future.

Politics › Re: Ban on Bureau De Change: Is Buhari Fighting The Hausas? by oteneaaron(m): 5:18am On Aug 01, 2021
Web2020:
Bureau de change Business in Nigeria is seen as an exclusive business for the Housas. Government has continually been protecting the business against all odds. Recall that Nigeria has three exchange rates against IMF warning. A special exchange rate was created for BDC, while others buy forex to do their business at a higher rate, Bdc enjoyed lower rate directly from CBN. Someone once make a joke to me by saying "no matter how lucrative BDC business may look, igbo man nor de do am". Not that Igbos don't like the business but they find getting the operating licence difficult as the business is exclusively reserved for a particular section of the country-the House popularly called Alahaji. These set of business men are powerful and protected.

The question now is with this recent ban, what could have changed?

Some analysts have said that this could be a deliberate act for the Buhari led administration to further weaken the Housas community in the North. Another school of thought has said that it is not unconnected with the recent newly found voices by the Housas to the extent of them giving quite notice to Fulanis herdsmen in some parts of the North.

The writer of thus article is only just thinking out loud
This is a powerful allegation.

I never knew BDC was only exclusive to the Hausa's..

I understand that other tribes couldn't get the license.

But does this mean the Fulani's were not part of the BDC industry?

Was it only exclusive to the Hausa's?

Someone please explain.

When the Government decides to show their strength on a particular people.

How can you keep flogging a child and still threaten him not to cry?

It is unfair and inhumane.

Why don't they channel this force and passion to end the kidnappings and killings around the country?

People are dying, food is very expensive and farmers can't go to the farm.

Education › Re: Ever Had Anyone Pull A Gun At You? What Were Your First Two Thoughts? by oteneaaron(m): 12:53pm On Jul 21, 2021
Yes.

November 2018, around 8pm, a group of five armed robbers stormed our family home.

When they entered the sitting room, they pointed the gun at me and asked me and younger siblings to lie down.

Can you imagine that the guy holding the gun shot at the ceiling?

The gunshot didn't even hit the ceiling, it hit a wall in our sitting room - - the bullet mark is still there till this very day.

Fast forward, the vigilante's in the area caught about three of them that same night.

After beating them, can you imagine that they confessed that it was my mother's younger brother that gave them the Intel to come rob us in the house?

Remember I mentioned they were five who came into our house?

They said my uncle who sent them was outside keeping guard with another henchman while they came inside to rob.

Imagine an armed robber telling you that it was your uncle - your mum's younger brother who sent them to come rob you.

The rest they say is history.

I stopped trusting people ever since then.

If my uncle can do that to me, imagine what a stranger can do.

Life is crazy.
