Shoe get size. If you don't have any power then don't open your mouth too wide. Adedibu is indeed the strongman of Ibadan politics. Ladoja should thank his stars he is still alive: infact if i were him i should have fled through the ever porous seme border. I am tired of telling you Nigerians in the diaspora that there has not been any election in Nigeria since June 12 so the idea of voting "bad" people out and "good" people in does not arise. Its a good thing our president said he could not do anything in the presence of Ladoja, Daniels and other Yoruba leaders. What goes round comes round, lets see where it will be next?

"Yes, he does," he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. "What do you think, Simon?" he asked. "From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own sons or from others?"

Please can someone comment on this quote above in relation to tithe?

Travel › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Be Like Ghana? by otokx(m): 5:24pm On Jan 11, 2006
the reason why nigeria cannot be like ghana can be stated in two words - corruption and irresponsibility. I will talk about irresponsibility because we all know what corruption is. Non accountability is a form of irresponsibility. Everybody doing what ever comes to their mind and no one asks as a check. You can park your car in the middle of the highway and stroll over to the other side to take a lick few metres from a police check point that is collecting twenty naira from every taxi. MEDUBE did u see any such thing as police checkpoint in Ghana? Someone talked about elections and voting the right people in. I want to cry but i can't because the only election that has taken place in Nigeria was that of June 12, all others are selection and allocation. Check (if you can) then u find out that the numbers released where more than the registered voters.

this is very revealing and also very challenging if it is proved to be true after a rigorous empirical investigation.
Travel › Re: Why Can't Nigeria Be Like Ghana? by otokx(m): 9:00am On Jan 11, 2006
Ghana has constant light YES, there are places in Nigeria that has constant light YES, me thinks its only in light and perhaps sanitation that Ghana beat us. Here in Uniport, staff children that cannot pass common JAMB because their parents are either politicians or friends of politicians send those "dumb" ones to Ghana who by the way charge them almost half a million naira for a session. Its the greedy political class that is killing Nigeria but even at that its also our press. The crime rate in south africe is a 100 times that found in Nigeria yet the US has not given a bad statement of em to their citizens.
Christianity Etc › Re: Have Nigerian Youths Lost Confidence In Religious Leaders? by otokx(m): 6:16pm On Jan 10, 2006
who are this religious leaders? if only you know how they collude with politicians to subvert the truth. Alams had a pastor, the president has a pastor and just look at all the mess. My eyes are focused on Jesus. There is disenchantment in the land, no correlation between the pastors lifestyle and the poverty so great around. Religion causes man to be lazy in body and intellect - going to church everyday instead of putting their hands to good work.
Christianity Etc › Re: Pentecostal/Catholic Marriages: Why the Disagreement? by otokx(m): 6:08pm On Jan 10, 2006

Politics › Re: Nigeria Sells Her Birthright in the Niger Delta by otokx(m): 5:51pm On Jan 10, 2006
