This administration has made us realized that integrity has another meaning. Even those you hold in high esteem before now shows they are worthless on integrity scale. This administration made us know that not all the educateds are reasonable.even some youths that are claiming to be leaders of tomorrow turned out to be myopic minded if not, why is it difficult to differentiate a government’s property from personal? Asking for donations while being the president doesn’t make it government’s. He didn’t say he was building for government, it wasn’t placed under any ministry and government did not oversee the project,he clearly declared it personal so it’s disappointing when some people talk before reasoning. curvyqueen:
Investigations has revealed that the initial plan of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was to proceed with the Presidential and National Assembly Elections in some states as earlier planned while holding those of the remaining states in a subsequent date.

But the insistence of the United States of America and other members of the international community frustrated the plan.

According to our findings, the decision at the meeting of INEC Chairman and 12 INEC Commissioners was for election to hold today in about 26 states while the remaining states will have theirs in a later day, but this decision was reversed at the meeting with international observers and other stakeholders during which the US representatives insisted on the presidential election holding simultaneously across the country.

PoliticsRe: Election Postponement: Buhari Campaign Blames PDP by Otsam(m): 8:43am On Feb 16, 2019
domesifa:
The campaign office of President Muhammadu Buhari has blamed the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the postponement of the 2019 presidential elections.

Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, announced at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday that the election had been postponed, barely hours after Nigerians were set to hit the polling units.

The elections would now hold on new dates scheduled as February 23 for presidential and national assembly elections and March 9 for governorship and state assemblies elections.

Mr Yakubu said the announcement came hours after a string of strategic meetings were held by top INEC officials to review preparedness for the exercise. It was concluded that a rash of logistics challenges that arose on Friday informed the postponement.

Ekiti, Niger and Taraba states were identified as some of the states that faced glitches of distribution of voting materials that would be difficult to resolve in time for the elections Saturday morning, thereby forcing the postponement.

Nigerians online expressed severe disappointment in INEC’s eleventh-hour decision, with many criticising the umpire for displaying stark incompetence since it had four years to prepare for the exercise.

Festus Keyamo, a spokesperson for Mr Buhari’s reelection campaign committee, also expressed sadness about the development, and quickly heaped the blame on the PDP in a statement released minutes after the announcement.

“We condemn and deprecate this tardiness of the electoral umpire in the strongest terms possible.

“President Muhammadu Buhari had since cooperated fully with INEC by ensuring everything it demanded to conduct free and fair elections were promptly made available to it.

“This news is therefore a huge disappointment to us and to our teeming supporters nationwide and around the world, many of whom have come into the country to exercise their franchise.

“We do hope that INEC will remain neutral and impartial in this process as the rumor mill is agog with the suggestion that this postponement has been orchestrated in collusion with the main opposition, the PDP, that was never ready for this election.

“We note that all the major credible demographic projections have predicted a defeat of the PDP and it seriously needed this breather to orchestrate more devious strategies to try and halt President Buhari’s momentum.

“It did the same as the ruling Party in 2015, when it realized the game was up, by orchestrating the postponement of the 2015 elections by six weeks. Now, it may be up to its old trick again.

“We have earlier raised the alarm that the PDP is bent on discrediting this process the moment it realized it cannot make up the numbers to win this election. We are only urging INEC not collude with the PDP on this.

“We are truly worried because as early as Friday morning, some known PDP Social Media influencers unwittingly announced this postponement, but quickly deleted the message and apologized to the public that it was fake news,” Mr Keyamo said.

The spokesperson also urged Nigerians to support INEC in its challenges, and prevent the commission from being compromised by the opposition.

“We do not want to be forced to a situation of announcing our total loss of confidence in INEC, because we know where that would leave our democracy.

“It is in the light of the above that we wish to appeal to Nigerians and our supporters to be patient, calm and resolute despite this temporary setback.

“Let us not give anyone, especially the PDP, the opportunity to plunge this nation into a crises, which is what they earnestly desire. Its imminent defeat is just a few days away.

“Lastly, we wish to draw the attention of INEC and the world to observe that the PDP has clearly and openly said it plans to announce parallel results through some funny device it has procured or developed.

“We wish to reiterate that it is only INEC that is legally and constitutionally empowered to declare results and it constitutes an offence for anyone to do so.

“We urge INEC to speak up now and warn the PDP to desist from this ignoble act that is capable of plunging the nation into a crises of immeasurable proportions,” he said.

Mr Keyamo did not attach any evidence to corroborate his claims against the PDP or other opposition elements he accused in the statement.

A spokesperson for the PDP did not immediately answer calls seeking comments in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Tradermoni is supervised by worldbank which the Swiss bank asked to supervise Abacha's looted funds released to Nigeria.

In fact, I have to hail the master plan of Osibanjo to come up with tradermoni because this looted money that the Swiss bank didn't want to be added to our federal revenue/reserve could be loaned out to petty traders such as fruit/vegetable sellers, mtn card sellers etc and then returned back into federal pockets. Sense won't kill Osinbajo.

He's putting smile on the faces of petty traders as well as the face of our federal reserves. Best Idea to ever come up with than Falana asking us to take the Swiss bank to court over such condition.
Please kagawa or shinji, next time you want to manipulate facts to defend disappointment, pls d it with people that are les informed than you.the money th Swiss bank asked d world bank to monitor was d one they said they are sharing 5k monthly stipends to poor families not tradermoni. Tradermoni is another prodigal project entirely.

"I presume Atiku may have traveled to the US under the umbrella of the diplomatic immunity of Saraki's official delegation.

It is possible that the trip was listed as an official trip of the Senate President of Nigeria, and the delegates to accompany him included Atiku.

Otherwise, why would the Nigerian senate president be there on a trip with Atiku. This trip was taken solely for the purpose of removing the cloud of imminent arrest and prosecution from Atiku if he traveled to the US.

Anyone that knows the working of diplomacy will realize that the US will not selectively arrest Atiku or any other member of the Saraki's delegation on this trip for as long as the tag of legislative delegation from Nigeria covers him.

This gimmick will only work on the gullible and uninformed. What we are asking from Atiku is to travel to the US as a private citizen.

He needs to take this trip on his own without any government of Nigeria official who is covered by diplomatic immunity."

Buhari may be bad as claimed by some Nigerians but Atiku is not and never an option
Hmmmm does that mean Osama Bin ladin could have traveled to the USA under his country's diplomatic immunity? Even charles Taylor and some other drug lords that are on USA watch list because being in the entourage of a powerful government official in their various countries would be one of the cheapest things for them.

PoliticsRe: 2019 Presidency: APC Need No Violence To Win - Tinubu To Opposition by Otsam(m): 8:57am On Jan 12, 2019
Nkemakonam62:
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) does not have to engage in violence to win the forthcoming elections,Cochairman of its Presidential Campaign Council, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said yesterday. Tinubu, who was responding to allegations from certain quarters that the APC was preparing grounds for violence during the elections, said those making such allegations were already sniffing their defeat at the polls. He said the cries of violence were also indications that those making the allegations had already conceded defeat even before the first ballot was cast in the election.

The APC leader spoke to reporters after a meeting with traditional rulers from the South West in Abuja. The traditional rulers were led by the Ooni of Ife,Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. Tinubu said neither the party nor its presidential candidate,Muhammadu Buhari, wanted any Nigerian to be a victim of violence during the elections and therefore did not need any form of violence to win the election. The APC, he pointed out, was working hard to win the elections, while those alleging violence were busy looking for excuses for their impending defeat. On his meeting with the obas,Tinubu said: “The royal fathers spoke of the need for a peaceful election. When you have the belief that you can get a proper result, you work hard because you want peace. “When you believe that you can win, you don’t want violence. We all love our children, our brothers and our followers and none of us would want our followers to become sacrificial lambs.

“We won’t encourage violent disruption of any election because we are confident of winning. Those who are crying wolf before the election have already accepted defeat before the election as far as I am concerned. “I am very happy and proud of the very promising situation. When you have the endorsement of your royal fathers, it means you have the people with you and the voice of the people is the voice of God. I am elated.”

The APC chieftain appreciated the royal fathers for their support and for not giving up on the APC and also for visiting the President to encourage him. Taking a fresh broadside at Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate,Tinubu said he (Atiku) did nothing to help Lagos State as Vice President when the Obasanjo government seized its local government allocations, but merely asked them to go and comply with Obasanjo’s directives. He said: “Atiku was Vice President of this country when the local government allocations for Lagos State were seized. “When we led a protest to Atiku then, he said: ‘Go away; go and comply.’ Without the allocations, you cannot bring development. “When we said we needed power to power Lagos and the industrial base in our region, they said no.

“They were taking away N250 million from our allocations every month for being innovative and creative. “Everywhere we turned, they rejected us and punished us. But we never gave up. “Today, we are in that progressive development championed and led by President Muhammadu Buhari. Thank you for not looking back. Thank you for visiting and encouraging him.” Tinubu also spoke on his purported collapse on Monday after the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. His words: “Fake news and whoever is manufacturing it, you better don’t believe them.” He also described as negative and fake news, reports of the alleged boycott of the campaign council by APC governors.

He said: “The point is, the governors had to stay back home because we all don’t have to converge in one place to decide certain modalities when we can easily go back to them on what was discussed and what we expect from their states. That is what we call structuring in an election. There are some jelly fish reporters around Nigeria these days.” At the meeting,Oba Ogunwusi said as royal fathers, traditional rulers would therefore continue to preach peace and peaceful coexistence. The Oni said: “My message to Nigerians in this time of election is peace, peace and peaceful co-existence all the way. “The power of every Nigerian and every electorate lies in the thumb. “As traditional rulers, we are fathers to all and in playing that role, we pray that there should be peace in this country. “

That is what we are preaching and it is very important to all of us to know that Nigeria is greater than any of us. So, we should continue to preach peace and identify with good things that will be beneficial to the nation. That is why we are here.” Hide original message The traditional rulers, who had earlier visited the President, also included the the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo; the Alayemore of Ido Osun, Oba Aderemi Adedapo; the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade; the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi; the Olukare of Ikare Akoko, Oba Akadiri Momoh 1V, and the Oloye of Oye Ekiti,Oba Michael Oluwole Ademolaju Adugbole III.

I will always say it, it's not the matter of apc/pdp. Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN), Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential Campaign Council, says the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is not a threat in the 2019 elections.

He said that the PDP would never serve as a threat to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari

Keyamo made the claim on Thursday during the inauguration of the Women and Youths Wing of the APC Presidential Campaign Team in Abuja.

However, he called on APC supporters to intensify efforts towards ensuring that the party recorded massive victory at the polls.

“ They are no longer a threat to President Muhammadu Buhari because their effort is collapsing. They have more than four hundred groups but the groups are now dropping on weekly basis.

“ It clearly shows that they cannot function without public funds and they discovered that it is no longer business as usual,” he said.

Keyamo also said that the opposition party has been disseminating false information to tarnish the image of President Buhari which would not help them at the polls.

You are living in a country where constitutionally, they are not using Islamic Callender, and asking for the holidays in the Islamic Callender. Have you ever heard any Christian in uae protest against working on sunday? Why didn't he go to work today and tell the federal government that he doesn't want to go on holiday? Being religious doesn't mean you should lack sense. Imagine if you ask him his date of birth, he's going to answer you within January to December o. Go and settle where Islamic Callender is in use if you want and stop causing problems.

Don't blame the kid, all they know is beat not lyrics when it comes to music. Even the beats, they cant classify if melodious or not they just want to dance like crazeman that fela sang about.
