Keep it short and use high band tenses in your sentences that are common to a native English speaker.

E.g Instead of saying ""He was angry that Mukaila had escaped" you could say "he was livid that Mukaila had escaped"
venorite:

Ok thank you. But in part 1, keeping it short or giving details?

I booked for medicals at IOM last year 20th December i think. From the email confirmation of my medicals slated for 10th January, no such request was indicated.

were you asked for it, or you heard of it from another source?

In my opinion i will say IELTS jay, reason being that his techniques helps you to speak at length on any topic presented in part 2. Jay advises from the perspective of an IELTS student. Note that he has taken the exams severally.

But Liz is more understandable, like she explains in layman's terms i.e trying to get the message across as simple as possible. She advises from the perspective of an examiner.

In summary, its advisable to combine both methodologies to pick out the best of both worlds.

Note, this is strictly my opinion

venorite:
Please for ielts speaking, which is better, ielts Liz or jay ? Cos ieltsliz says keep it simple while jay say, elaborate and make longer sentences

Just spoke to the account officer and was like they just gave me the letter in the format which i requested due to relationship. But in reality that's not their own format. In fact she mentioned they will likely remove the line that says average balance and indicate current balance so as to generate another and send across.

But really, whats the big deal in adding up account balances for July to December divided by 6, i guess that's average?

Anyways they will get back to me by monday on how best their bank can handle this. one bank with elephant in their symbol. lol grin
Tojued:

Honestly I think you should get the letter corrected. If they can't give you average balance, let them indicate it's current balance. It's inaccurate to call it average balance and then put figure of current balance.
Would be an inconsistency if you get adr for statement of account.

That should be dependent on your income if you ask me.

For example, someone earning 100k and voom!!! 500k credit reflects on that account. That should require an LOE
etrange:
Just for clarity purpose, how much credit in my bank statement is big enough to require some explanation (gifted deed, LOE, affidavite, etc)?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by ottawasenators: 10:22am On Jan 04, 2019
Since you mentioned its a significant amount, then it will be nice to explain it.

I'm sure that''s easy to do?
etrange:
Good Morning Fam,

A quick one, please.

My coy paid a special performance bonus last month. This is quite a lump sum and has made a huge impact on the account I am using for POF. Do I need to add a LOE for this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to both of you for your kind feedback.

Now, i received my reference letter from the bank and noticed that for the average 6 months balance, what was specified was account balance as at day letter was issued.

Although i made it very clear that what i wanted was 6 months average balance and relationship manager was like, that's hard work for them to achieve since their system does not keep that information.

Well, i hope this is fine?

joo2018:
Only the Reference letter + latest FD certificate.
If you are planning on adding the older certificates to prove that it has been your money all along, then it might be best to also add a LOE to avoid confusing the case agent.

Good day House and a prosperous 2019 to us all.

In terms of POF, i intend to submit All Fixed deposit certificates , which i have been rolling over since December 2017 and a reference letter from same bank showing 6 months average balance.

Note: Fixed deposit sum actually originated from the said account and last significant flow was july of 2018. Fixed deposits are usually for 6 months

Hope i'm good to go in providing just the reference letter and fixed deposit certificates (in historical order) ?

I had same issue while processing mine.

What i did was to double check with my contact at school to be very very sure dey did not receive the verification mail.

After the above confirmation, school were still sure dey never received any mail from wes for my verification.

Armed with the above information i contacted WES using the contact form and also made phone call 2pm Nigerian time which was 9am their time, and i got through quickly to a very nice person on the phone who informed me that my confirmation was sent via post.

I screamed and said what tha hell? that will never get to my school .lolll

In summary, i requested that it be sent via email, of which dey did same day and i was notified via mail. Followed up with my contact the next day and voila verification mail was there.

Good day House and compliments of the season.

I was at IOM, Ikeja around 8 am today and scheduled medicals for the earliest possible date which is 8th January 2019.

But i noticed we have been playing ping pong via email shifting dates from 8th, 9th and now just got another email

informing me that earliest possible date is 10th.

I'm assuming they have backlog they cant complete this year hence what i'm experiencing?

Anyone with similar episode?

Though cant say anything about this, but it reminds me of those people on Quora who respond to questions with a high dose of sarcasm grin

einsteino:
A canadian on Youtube by the name Johnny Nonuts had this to say about Canadian healthcare:

Its tiring listening to Americans brag about Canadian healthcare services. They dont have a clue.

last year I had an incident where I started feeling increasing pressure in my left ear.

Eventually I couldn't hear anything out of it and the pain became so intense I barely managed to drive myself to the Trillium Hospital in Etobicoke. When I got there the the line up to register was almost out the door. Every seat in the waiting area was taken and people were lined up against the walls and every other standing room space available. Kids were screaming anf crying, people were on gernies and in wheelchairs all over the place. The look on most peoples faces was dead pan and depressing. It reminded me of a scene out of an apocalypse movie.

There was no way in hell I would have survived waiting there as my ear felt like it was going to explode at this point.
I drove myself back home and had a family member drive me all the way to Milton where I anticipated a better waiting time. When I got there only 5 people were in the waiting room but it still took me 5 hours to see a doctor. I thought I was going to go insane from the pain. Toward the 4 hour mark something in my ear had popped and the pain started to diminish.

The chairs in the room where the doctor saw me had duct tape holding what ever material was still on the arm rests and on the seats. Compared to the newest of hospitals, like in Oakville, this place was a dive and a step back into the early 70s. It needs a renovation badly.

Doctor couldn't tell me what the issue was. Saw me for 5 minutes and I went home.

I was fuming. For all the talk of our health care system being so great this experience was shit.

I had similar experiences in the past with brutal wait times and doctors that are overwhelmed.

An operation to my arm was my only positive experience but the MRI scan required before that took forever.

If you don't have an insurance plan through work you will be paying out the nose for dental and drugs and other services. Walk in clinic doctors are 50/50 in terms of help. Most have you out the door before you even have a chance to sit down and explain what's wrong. Good luck finding a Family Doctor.

When I see Trudeau brag about our healthcare system I want to puke. The guy has no understanding of what hard working average Canadians have to deal with. A spoiled man child.

Our system needs help big time. The amount of taxes we pay does not justify the level of service we experience on average.

Remember when patience had to wait in the hospital Tim Hortons in wheelchairs and gernies a few years ago because there was no place else to put them? yeah.....thats our healthcare system.
