WISE RISK TAKERS ....this was just a stupid risk, a good financier will never give him his money to trade with for any reason even at this stage |
Godswillnwaoma:WISE RISK TAKERS ....this was just a stupid risk, a good financier will never give him his money to trade with for any reason even at this stage |
All this big big stories, one freezer, is that is about 315 litres, is 1000w, that means that 3.5kva(kva means kilo watts which mean 3500wats) will carry 3 of those with allowance of 500 watts for fan and etc....if you are not buying a high compressor cold room, please just don't dear buy Lister anything .... |
gabriel212:this is the best advise i have seen in this thread, and personally, i think you should go for broilers, because of the timing metrics and cost implication of noilers. |
sayoberry:08...1..three, four seven nine 35 seven four... you can chat me up on whatsapp. have a nice day ma. |
nairavsdollars:go do m by ur self |
Example of the confusion that exists in my Igbo land |
Ritagirlie12:You know this will tend towards double in a few days time |
shyenar999:ok, i Will do that |
profkachi:This would actually depend on location, but you could actually just rent a facility for this. I think a good business plan tailored for what you need to cut out waste, is you do need. |
Gadgetmobil:Thanks alot for the kind words, I appreciate. |
shyenar999:Yes, I do |
profkachi:if you slaughter 200-250 birds a day, i wont even dare to see you as a fresher in this sector... that is quit big on Nigerian levels sha. you would need a large cold room, about 30 kva generator and be ready to run the gen, don't count on PHCN. Its not just for one to choose a figure because there are different approaches to this endeavor. If you are really interested in this you need to put together a business plan. Start with a scale of slaughtering about 50 a day scale. |
Me that like eating plenty eggs, how I go take do am with only one egg? I will not eat one egg... |
buchilino:OGA SIR, i Know the military well, and i can assure you that that man deserved that promotion well....well...well...the military is not bigotry in matters in this light |
Paperwhite:You are a stupi.d person you know, you see someone congratulated for risking his life and you mouth can only speak stupid bigotry !!! |
shyenar999:oohhh...that is frozen food shop....analogue or electronic scale, cutting table, reading table, butcher knife, two gallons for water and fuel and bowl...you will need a sign board outside.... small shelf basically |
shyenar999: shyenar999:What are d requirements for d 1ton cold room...Standard Cold rooms comes in 5 ton and 10 ton, 5 ton is the size of a 20ft container, 10 ton is the size of a 40 ft container. d cost of feeding and vaccination to raise 100 doc broilers to 2kg N1000/chicken, at he conditions that farm facility, drinkers, feeders and labor are available. Now the secret is that you start slaughtering and freezing once its about 6 weeks, so you cut down on resources being spent |
shyenar999:you are always welcome.... ![]() |
shyenar999:Definitely, in this case you make more profit if you produced the chickens yourself |
shyenar999:Retail price is 1200/kg ... wholesale price is 1000-950 per kg ... so just multiply it by this factor and you will have the specific price |
Olayinka777:Head and legs is called kodo...we sell it at #500/kg... then the gizzard is #1300/kg |
profkachi:081...34###79three five seven four....I will be looking forward go connecting with you |
edlion57:You didn't notice that election is not far away and hevwant to contest for presidency. He will be nice once more |
Sabergol99:Yes the uncertainties does exist but the issue is to linkbyoir production with the retail. |
tectonotimes:No kink there but how about meeting local demand before we talk about export? |
As individuals within a society become more specialised in their economic activities, they come to rely upon others to supply at least some of the products and services which they need. Thus begins a process of exchange between buyers and sellers. For a while buyers and sellers remain in immediate contact and each party is able to determine what the other needs and values and, therefore, will be willing to exchange. As the economy develops the number and types of exchanges expand, there is a concomitant need for increasingly specialised marketing services such as physical distribution, storage, grading, market information gathering and so. The number of participants also increases with many of the specialised services being provided by intermediaries between the seller and ultimate buyer. Few buyers and sellers are in direct contact with one another and communication between them is channelled through a complex marketing system. Economic development itself provides the impulse towards more sophisticated and more efficient marketing systems. Dixie2 suggests that as countries experience economic growth, their rate of urbanisation tends to increase substantially. Whereas the rate of population growth, in developing countries, averages around three percent per annum, their cities and towns are increasing their populations at about four percent per annum. In essence, this means that the number of people, in urban areas, needing to be fed by rural people, will double within sixteen years. This has clear implications for agricultural production and the marketing systems that direct that production and distribute the output to the points of its consumption. Subsistence farming is likely to diminish in importance as farmers respond to the increased opportunities that development and urbanisation create; farms are likely to decrease in number whilst increasing in size; and agriculture will probably become less labour intensive and more capital intensive. “Consumption is the sole end purpose of all production: and the interest of the producer ought to be attended to only so far as it may be necessary for promoting that of the consumer.” http://www.fao.org/docrep/004/w3240e/W3240E01.htm We that are involved in animal husbandry know that we really have to get organised around these changes to survive. |
tectonotimes:I am not talking of exporting, in this kind of business, we are yet to met export standards of the US and EU. I am talking of building businesses in Nigeria that will grow into conglomerates. With Nigerian customers. We have a need to fill here before looking at exports |
Anyone with experience in agricultural production knows that the problem is not production, it will finally boil down to marketing. This entails selling at the right time to the right people and at the right price that keeps you in business. The marketing of chicken and meat is a big market, processed chicken cost less to produce, but requires freezing. Companies (please google them), such as Zambeef, Cp foods Cargill Tyson foods;Etc These built gaint conglomerates out of the production and sales of these processed and value added meats. They have built conglomerates out of this system. In business. It's always important never to a business without having a game changer, sometimes it comes through a single Big Bang product for instance an organization entering the pharmaceutical industry with the cure for HIV and AIDS, but in reality, most of the time it is incremental through a culture of constantly doing small things here and there that are innovative...the process of buying DOCs and rearing and finally bringing them to market efficiently has made us apply innovation in very small process numerous times across the chain of events. We could run this in an organised fashion, and getting financing is easier when we can come together. Let's form a system to produce, market and distribute our products. Of course we will have to have the foundation of a business plan with business systems and proper registration and processes as a business. People let's look into this. The market for frozen foods is technically and practically blank. Let's do something about this, I am talking to business people here. |
