BusinessRe: No More Monopoly For Microsoft This Time by otuonye(m): 10:59am On Sep 27, 2007
I do not think that the EU court's ruling was fair enough. I compare it to forcing someone to share someone's intellectual property with another person against his will.

If other software companies think that MICROSOFT is over-dominating the software market, then let them come up with better softwares that will beat those of Microsoft.

Forcing Microsoft to surrender their codes is not a good idea. We are not suffering any undue monopoly by MICROSOFT. I think that the cost of the softwares provided by the Microsoft Corporation is affordable and Ok.

If APPLE, ADOBE, SUN or any other companies think that Microsoft is over -dominating the market, there is a simple thing to do: PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH A BETTER ALTERNATIVE! If not, then let them close their mouths.

Hmm! The crowd go too much ooo,

And I do not think PH would be a convenient place to host such an occasion that would potentially draw a large crowd. At least for now, until things settle down very well in PH.

Maybe, you may consider Owerri, Warri, Benin or Enugu [for the South-south & South East guys].

Registration is still on,

If you have younger ones [siblings], who have either finished Secondary School, or are still in the secondary school, then please get them to register for this program. The kids even excel more in areas like this.

If you are a recent graduate [still searching for a job] or an undergraduate looking for something worthwhile to do with your leisure time, then this program will also be of immense benefit to you.

We have been organizing this program in many parts of the country. In port Harcourt alone, we have organized it for over 6 times, and the students we trained in the previous seminars are making huge profits from the clients.

THIS IS A MONEY - GENERATING AS WELL AS AN EYE - OPENING OPPORTUNITY. Do not be left out of the show!

The benefits are so many. Read on,

You can develop websites in 3 hours that could sell for N150,000. You can develop a website in 1 hour that could sell for N80,000.

It is obvious from the above explanation that people should not be suffering from unemployment when they can learn skills that will help them improve their life - status.

Take advantage of this opportunity. A lot of people have already registered. We advise that if you are living in PH and you are still interested, you should hurry up to MAXIMUM INSIGHTS office and get enlisted for the training on WEb Designing.

You have a lot to gain.

small boy you need to mind your speech, don't get carried away by the excitement of the army occupation of Port Harcourt. Are you trying to say its right for soldiers to start raping innocent girls in the line of duty? huh

nincompoops like you, if they find their way into the armed services would seize every opportunity to sexually assault helpless women.

remember those women who were assaulted are some people's sisters, daughters etc. smallie you need to GROW UP!
I think you have a mental illness. Wait a minute! , Did you read my post very well before striking those on the keyboard? I have one word to describe people who think and talk like you - STUPID.

Ok. let's assume you were blind [maybe you actually are], I did not commend the soldiers outrightly for molesting people. No right - thinking person would do that.

If you read that post very well [unless your eyes can't even see a flicker of light], I said that the soliders need to be cautioned to prevent them from harrassing more people unneccesarily. I also said that they are trained to protect people and not to molest them.

So, open your thick skull a little when next you read my posts and stop saying thrash here.

Moreover, we are under a legitimate government. The govt has a right to impose whatever laws they deem fit in order to protect the lives and properties of people in any place. the govt says "NO ONE SHOULD BE SEEN OUTSIDE HIS/HER HOUSE BY 7:01PM AND BEYOND". Maybe get your deaf sister to flout that order again, so that she can complain of harrasment.

Get some sense. People say it is common, but I doubt it. If it were, you would have one. BUT YOU JUST DON'T.

However, my pastor does not wear those rings - he only wears a wedding ring. So, if you re scared of your pastor 'cos of his suspicious ring, why don't you try my pastor. He's a clean guy.

@ everyone

I think it is necessary for the GOVT of Rivers State to find out a way to solve the on-going crisis in Port Harcourt. In the meantime, the GOVT is trying very well, by bringing policies to curb the menace of cultists in Rivers State.

Recently, there was this public announcement on Radio to the effect that all the waterside areas of Port Harcourt [where the suspected millitants were hiding] are to be demolished.

I think it is a good initiative of the Omehia administration, to scatter all these areas in a bid to rid the area of bad boys [that's the word for cultists over here].

But I have one reservation: Is there any plan for a relocation of the people who will be affected by the destruction watersides. A good govt should plan very well for the people it governs.

If there is not a plan for the people who reside in those areas right now, then there may be more catastrophe when those areas are finally destroyed.

Whatever the govt can do to eliminate cultists in Rivers State, let them do it. We are in support. However, it is not good to destroy the wicked people with the righteous. The millitary need to get ways to carefully seperate the innocent people from those boys. Afterall, that's what they are trained to do.

I hear that some people killed by the soldiers are innocent people, who do not and have never participated in any cult activities before. If this continues, it is going to produce a wrong impression of the millitary.

Furthermore, I am also hearing that soldiers have started molesting civillians, because of the little power that they have acquired within these few days. Ah! Haba! Soldiers, wetin be this nah? You now rape the people you are trained to protect? This is not fair! Someone needs to caution these soldiers.

And for all those girls who claim that they were raped by the soldiers, my question is: WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME BY AFTER SEVEN 0'CLOCK PM?. Sometimes, we are the architects of our problems.

The govt says that everyone should go inside on or before 7 O'clock; yet we still see some people coming out and roaming the streets. If the soldiers rape you, make you no cry. Maybe the thing is even sweeting you sef.

@back to willywilly

Port Harcourt is not cursed!! Port Harcourt is not cursed!! How many times am I going to say it before it gets into someone's thick skull? Let us be objective and reasonable, at least for once.

Haba, the problem is not a curse - but a neglect of duty on the part of our leaders. The governors [past and present], and the executive arms of government. Simple! Which kain curse be this? Where dem do the curse?

Let's not say what we are not sure of. If you are called in a law court to defend this assertion with evidence, can you? by the way tell me your phone number, let me call you and speak sense into your mind - I hope for the last time.

Everybody here has to understand that despite the fact that we speak in various languages, people see us as Nigerians and the problem we have in Port Harcourt is not a tribal problem - it is a Nigerian Problem.

Whether you are Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Ijaw or Efik, but you are staying in PH, stop laying blames on this or that tribe. All of us should try and get things fixed up [in our own little ways].

STOP THE TRIBAL DISCRIMINATION. HOWEVER, BE PROUD OF WHERE YOU COME FROM.

@willywilly,

Which is your state? Listen, I do not like to say one thing twice. Igbos did not curse PH at any time. I thank God that you even admitted that it was hear - say. This means that you were not there when the curse was alledgedly placed on PH.

In other words, it means that you are saying what you heard from someone else, , and that person was obviously misinformed. Let me say it again [maybe for the last time], Igbos did not curse PH. We have a lot of problems that we are tackling in our states - let alone coming to place a curse on PH.

So, stop spreading this your hear - say story. It is not true. Igbos are a gentle and hardworking tribe of the Nigerian people. We are not interested in the downfall of anybody.

As for state of emergency, we are seeing the effect of Government's action on the millitants, so maybe state of emergency may not be needed anymore. But for sure, the fact still remains that it was the previous government of Peter Odili that armed these boys, and today the people of the Niger delta, as well as the sojourners are having it rough with these boyz.

So, if this problem must stop completely, the leaders of the Niger Delta who are of questionable character, must be called to face the law.

My own opinion.

You said that Igbo people laid a curse on PH? What nonsense are you talking about? I do not undestand you. Why and when did we do that?

This is not a problem of the Igbos. Your own brothers [like Soboma and Ateke, even Asari] are the ones causing the problems we all face here.

The names SOBOMA, ATEKE & ASARI - are they Igbo names? We do not speak evil of anyone, but I wonder why you would come to this forum to say this nonsense about a thriving and suceeding tribe of the Nigerian people.
