what are you ppl talking about ?

So becos clinton was given a position by obama, it means GEJ should give atiku a position as well

what was the position based on ? Merit or IOU position ?

Clinton was given that position because of her diplomatic stance and her expericence as the wife of the former president of America, thus she has interacted with foreign governments. What has atiku done to deserve the post of the SA ?

On what issues would atiku be advising GEJ on ?

Was he not the vp before duing OBJ era ? Why did he not advice OBJ if he was honest and if OBJ did not listen, he should have quit.

Na wa for Nigerian mentality. Imagine comparing Clinton/ American politics with Atiku/ Nigerian politics.
Why are you making it look like Ben Obi is half part of Atiku? These men are all in same family (PDP). More so, Senator Obi is matured enough to choose whoever he feels fit to work with.

Why do you people play maradona all the time? You people are so dishonest it's not even funny.

You lashed out at other people in a thread that's really not about GEJ by claiming that people are trying to rubbish the good things GEJ has done.

Obviously, you know for a fact that GEJ has done something that people are trying to rubbish.

All you need to do or was asked to do is list the good things GEJ has do that people are trying to rubbish.

We are not talking about your 24 months, you said he has done some good things, just list the good things and if you can not, just keep quiet and stop playing your own fellow countrymen for a fool.

Period.
There is no point listing his achievements, these are things you already know.

SportsRe: Why Is The Press Relatively Silent On Siasia? by Ournaija: 1:22pm On Oct 13, 2011
Siasia was just lucky with our over aged youth team he used at Youth World cup.  He lacks the technicality to approach a game, though he has won the heart of majority of football fans in Nigeria. His pattern of play is something anyone could do if given the opportunity.

I will take a Keshi over a Siasia. Keshi has been tested at the senior level with unknown players of nations. Even when the environment wasn`t friendly he still gave his best. No African nation will consider to hire a Nigerian coach because they are known  for their mediocrity. Keshi was just unlucky with the Nigerian football fans.

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Gets 86% Of FG Projects by Ournaija: 11:04am On Oct 11, 2011
alj_harem:
Sure the FG needs to be in the SS and SE. I support it not because the north and the west have cheated the country as Udezue suggested but because it is better for them to use it on SS and SE than using it to enrich themselves and moreover the SS people are one of the best Nigerians you can meet.

Moreover, apart from Lagos island and the refinery in kaduna, what does presence does the West and north have ?

you can also read my post below.
This is where you miss the point. When we talk of infrastructures and projects we didnt meant only big projects like refinery. We mean good roads, hospitals, electrification and so on. Have you gone through all the North to assess FG projects abandoned for nothing. I dont want to mention places not create, Even some agricultural projects aimed at providing food for the whole nation and beyond are also thrown away. People who were suppose to use this projects to provide food, create jobs have all joined politics. In some cases they simply wait at home to get FG allocation to be shared. The big work to do there is to change our peoples mentality. Don`t pretend not to know what am talking.

It`s not enough to site projects, people must go and use them. There are so many opportunities in the North there but people just turn blind eyes to them. I was there to grab some of these opportunities, unfortunately I left that end for fear of been Boko Haramed  grin  grin
PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Gets 86% Of FG Projects by Ournaija: 10:24am On Oct 11, 2011
@ al harem

The South East/South South deserve more of FG projects. The problem with the North is not about siting projects but the problem of who to manage them and make them useful for the benefit of all. When I hear people saying that some States in the North are not viable and can`t stand by themselves, I just laugh. If FG projects/infrastructure located in States like Kaduna, Kano Jigawa, Katsina, Bauchi, Sokoto, Niger, even in your home State Borno, etc are properly utilized we wouldn`t be complaining of no jobs up there. Most projects aimed at alleviating poverty have been abandoned. People prefer to be spoon fed than think and work. Some buildings are left empty, even some agricultural aided programs were also abandoned. For what?

The leaders/governors of this region only wait for the monthly allocation from Abuja instead of thinking of ways of empowering the people with existing infrastructure to generate wealth. Same thing run from the state through to the local government and even to the families. Dependent on government must stop in the North if we truly want to grow as a nation.

Some of this infrastructures/project by the FG (not sate or private built) are rare in the South East/South South. Whenever projects are sited somewhere in the South South/East people in the North feel cheated. We must change people`s mentality in the North and encourage entrepreneurship spirit in the South East/South South.

Please encourage more of FG projects in these regions for the benefit of all.

S’East govs demand for 2 additional states

From PETRUS OBI, Enugu

Monday, October 10, 2011

South East Governors Forum rose from its meeting in Enugu yesterday demanding for the creation of two new states in the zone.
Anambra State Governor and Chairman of the forum, Mr. Peter Obi who fielded questions from newsmen after the meeting said the issue of additional state was the only issue discussed by the governors.

Said he: “Basically today, we discussed only one item, the issue of constitutional amendment, especially as it concerns creation of additional state for the South-east, to have same number of states with other zones. That is basically what we discussed.”

Obi, who was answering questions from reporters shortly after the meeting at Government House, Enugu, stated that the meeting was a single item meeting. He explained that what the forum was demanding for was the equalisation of the number of states in the country.  He continued that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss a constitutional issue that had to do with creation of new states so that the South-east zone could have equal states with other zones in the country.

Obi, who refused to answer further questions, stated that the zone did not care where the states would be created from but all that the people needed was equality in the number of states. He noted that the issue would be canvassed during next week’s governors’ meeting. The meeting was attended by Governors Martin Elechi of Ebonyi; Rochas Okorocha, Imo and Sullivan Chime of Enugu while Theodore Orji of Abia was absent. The meeting, which started at about some minutes to 3pm ended about 3.45pm.

I know that Orji of a man will not be there with his kins to discuss issues that will benefit the SE. Yeye man grin

I dont think it`s a bad idea for the SE governors to demand for additional state to equal that of other regions. As we know, whatever goodies that is been shared in Abuja is done on quota system, Federal character and so on.

I think the SE still need to do more home work with their brothers that spill over to the SS.
