emiye: Does the current arrangement of government structure allows all states to fully exploit their natural and other great resources ? If your answer is no. then ask why?.
It is no point casting aspersions on the state governors, the "unitary" system currently enthrenched by the federal government does not adequately give room for effective exploitation of resources by states.
If the current system stays, governors will continue to take their bowl to Abuja waiting for food. The governor was asking for a review of the revenue allocation in favour of his state and not resource control. The man is not interested in the whatever resources within his territory not to talk of tapping them. He simply wants cash but not interested in working for it. He should have added his voice to the increasing voice for true Federalism and resource control. |

Beaf: I de laf o! The true face of Nigeria shows more clearly everyday.
How is it normal for a governor who is supposed to develop his state to begin calling louder for awuf from other states? How is it normal that the citizens of his state have not risen up to call for his head for embarrassing them so patently when they are not invalids?
What is the use of a governor who is so phucking unimaginative and bereaft of ideas as to make beggarly calls for oil money, while those from whose land it act as the slaves and donkeys for all? It boggles the mind that thousands would actually have queued up, exposed to the vagaries of the elements, uncertain about the violence thugs or govt forces could unleash at any crazed moment. . . to vote for a man whose most creative thought is an ever expanding beggars bowl.
What a country! Hey take it easy on Aliyu. Here is a man voted to oversee beggars. He is only doing his job. After all Awolowo and Azikiwe told us that we are brothers. |

I wonder why Igbo and Ojukwu news sell like pure water. It`s already on front page. Soon this will get to like 10-12 pages. I wonder which job he will be doing. People are here killing themselves and throwing insults. Sometimes, it is more dignifying to keep mute on some issues. We have are more important issues to worry about than Uwazuruike`s chieftancy title. BlackPikiN: However, The traditional ruler of Nri Ancient Kigdom in Anaocha Local Council of Anambra State, His Royal Majesty, Nri Enweallana 11, Eze Obidiegwu Onyenso, said he crowned Uwazuruike as Eze Igbo because he was the best man for the job.
According to him, politicians at all levels of governance were not capable of leading Ndi Igbo, especially in succeeding Odimegwu Ojukwu as the leader and Eze Igbo Gburugburu of Igbo land because they had failed in the past in fighting the cause of Igbo people.
Eze Onyeso, who claimed to be closer to the gods of Ndi Igbo, hinged his choice of Uwazuruike as the next leader of Igbo land on the MASSOB leader’s outstanding qualities and humility, especially in fighting for the cause of Igbo people.
The Monarch pointed out that looking for Ojukwu’s successor as Igbo leader did not call for an election, but divine selection, which according to him had been done with his choice of Uwazuruike. He disclosed that then Eze Nri in 1967 traveled to Enugu to give Ojukwu the title to become the leader of Igbo people before he became the leader.
Onyeso added that Uwazuruike served Odumegwu Ojukwu for over 20 years, had studied the footsteps of the Ikemba Nnewi while he lived, had been championing the cause of Ndi Igbo and working to sustain the pride of Ojukwu.
Having been imprisoned for up to 16 times without being found guilty for the sake of Ndigbo as well as controlling over 12 million youths, Uwazuruike, he argued, stood tall among others in the race for Ojukwu’s successor, noting that those who were unable to lead their families were among those who want to lead Ndigbo.

aribisala0: Just for accuracy and NOT to disparage the man. He IS not a Professor.
Those who believe he is should tell us where he is a Professor. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of what that means. I do not know if he ever was but I know he is not NOW! If ever he was then the correct thing is former Professor! A Professorship is not a chieftaincy title it STAYS in the institution. A professor is a different matter, this is a term used in the US and some other place to indicate what in Nigeria is known as a lecturer.
So please tell us which one he is and where? Do you want to deprofessor the man? Maybe we should start deprofessoring all other professors in Naija to score a point. |

Soludo is better. People thought the banks` consolidation exercise embarked upon by his team wouldn`t do Nigeria any good. However, that was the best thing that ever happened to our banking industry. He met structureless banking industry and left it a lucrative industry.
Sanusi seems not to know where he his going. He comes up with a policy today, tomorrow he reverses it. Aside the lose of job in the industry, investors are loosing money due to his inconsistent policies. For instance he banned banks from owing offsite ATMs. Investors borrowed money to procure the Independent ATM deployers lincense. He reverses the policy in less than 4 months. This is how those that borrowed money to procure the license became debtors to banks. Some of them had to lay off their staffs. |

This is the ignorance we are talking about; other countries are charging people under $100 (N16,000) and less than 24 hours to get a limited liability company, in UK online you can check name availability within 5 minutes free of charge - you try it now online, just google 'companies house UK'
You are arguing that two weeks is ok and one should not spend more than N70,000!!!! we are a poor country charging people more than in richer countries.
It seems you are one of those agents who will be out of work if the Aganga gets his way of 48 hour registration

Before you start breaking out the champaign and popping out the authentic cubans . . . wait to see RESULTS . . .
again . . . .P.S. . . . Thinking positive HAS NOTHING to do with being IRRATIONALLY OPTIMISTIC especially when there is there no real measure of success to be seen. Past governments had such funds available but non could come out with something of this nature. My money and your money were looted and re-looted by same people and nothing happened. Even if this fails ( I dont think it will), the move is enough to be applauded. |

Education › Hnd Electrical Electronics Engineering Vs B.edu Electrical Electronics by Ournaija(op): 10:38am On Jan 26, 2012 |
My little brother applied for a degree course (Electrical & Electronics Engineering ) in Uniben unfortunately he was offered admission to study Vocational and Technical Education (Electrical & Electronics).
He applied for HND (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) program in Yabatech and was offered admission to study same. He is confused as to which one he should go for. I advised him to start attending lectures with his mates in Yabatech since ASSU is still on strike. He will be making payments for his fees next week. I have been pondering on this issue for days now without a definite answer as to which way he should go. You know how we adore B.sc here in Naija over HND.
knowing that his chances of switching from Faculty of Education to Engineering in Uniben is very slim. People, do you think he can make a good career with Vocational and Technical Education ( Electrical & Electronics) or he should go ahead with the HND (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) and later go for a B.sc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering before or after service? I no want make him come dey carry one yeye certificate after graduation.
Please I need your advise before we commit blunder. |

The bible says he that is without sin should cast the first stone. AMERICANS ARE THE MOST CORRUPT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. Have y'all ever heard of WALL STREET. Was Madoff a Nigerian? Was R. Allen Stanford a Nigerian? Between those two dudes, they defrauded people of a total of $72BILLION and that is way more than Nigerians can ever defraud in total.
We are not criminals and we need to understand the propaganda that is going on to blacklist us. Stop calling each other names of what we are not whether Yoruba or Igbo. The drug game is dominated by Americans and Mexicans but yet we call each other drug lords. Identity fraud has been going on since identities existed even before Nigeria knew what a computer was.
Obama has surrounded himself with some of the most corrupt bankers ever in the History of Mankind but no one calls him corrupt like we call our own president. The cabal in Nigeria is not even close to the Wall street cabal in USA.
We are no where near perfect but neither is the EU or USA so don't let them blacklist you. RISE AFRICA AND SEE THEIR PROPAGANDA > You must be using your anus for thinking. If another man is bad (as you claimed), does that give you the right to be worse? Nonsense! |
