PoliticsRe: Danfo Buses Will Be Replaced From January 2018 - Lagos State Government by overboard(m): 9:35pm On Oct 30, 2017
Vizboy1:
A handsome man went into a hotel and asked to see the boss. When the boss came, the story began.

-The client: is room 39 empty?
-The boss: yes, sir.
-The client: can I book it?
-The boss: of course you can.
-The client: thank you.

Before going to the room, the client asked the boss to provide him with a black knife, a white thread 39 cm and an orange 73g.

The boss agreed though he was surprized at the weird things the client asked to have.

The client went into his room, he didn't ask for food or anything else.

Unfortunately for the boss, his room was next to room 39.

After midnight, the boss heard strange voices and noise in that client's room. Voices of wild animals and of utensils and dishes being thrown on the floor.

The boss didn't sleep that night. He kept thinking and wondering what might be the source of the noise.

In the morning, when the client handed the keys to the boss, the latter asked to see the room first.

He went to the room and found everything alright. Nothing unusual. He even found the thread, the black knife and the orange on the table.

The client paid the bill and gave the bellboys a very good tip and left the hotel smiling.

The boss was in a shock but he didn't reveal what he heard to the bellboys. In fact, he started to doubt himself.

After one year, the client showed up again. He asked to see the boss again. The boss was in a puzzle.

The client asked the same things: room 39, black knife, white thread 39cm and an orange 79g.

This time, the boss wanted to know the truth by all means possible. He spent a sleepless night, waiting for something to happen. After midnight, the same voices and noises started, this time louder and more indecipherable than the year before.

Again, before leaving, the client paid his bill and left a large tip on the table for the bellboys. The smile didn't leave his face.

The boss started searching for the meaning of everything the client asked to have. Why did he ask room 39? why the white thread? why the black knifehuh In fact, the boss didn't arrive to any convincing answer to all these questions.

The boss now was eagerly waiting for the month of March, the month in which the client showed up.

To his surprise, on the first day of March, the same client showed up. He asked the same questions. Wanted to book the same room, wanted to have the same things as before.

The boss again heard the same noises, this time more louder than before.

In the morning, when the client was leaving the hotel, the boss apologized politely to the client and asked to know the secret behind the noises in the room.

-''If I tell you the secret, do you promise to never reveal it to anyone else?''
-''I promise I will never let anyone know''.
-''Swear''
-''I swear I won't reveal your secret''
So finally, the client revealed his secret to the boss.

Unfortunately, the boss was a sincere person. Until now he hasn't revealed his secret to anyone.

When he does, I will let you know... thank you for reading.

Do you want to come and beat me? Me too, I'm looking for the guy who sent me this!

MrMcJay:
If you have a complaint against your bank, you MUST first report the complaint at the bank/branch where the issue originated and then allow 2 weeks for the issue to be resolved.

If after lodging your complaint your Bank still fails to engage you and resolve the complaint within 2 Weeks as provided for in the ATM HELP DESK Circular, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the Consumer Protection Department (CPD) of the CBN.

You can only direct your Complaints to CPD upon the failure of your Bank/Financial Institution to resolve your complaint within the 2 weeks timeline given by the CBN.

You can contact the CPD through the following channels:
E-mail: cpd@cbn.gov.ng
Letter: Director, Consumer Protection Department
Central Business District, Abuja

Your letter of Complaint should be addressed to the Director, Consumer Protection Department. You can submit your letter at the CBN Head Office OR at any of the Central Bank of Nigeria branches of nationwide.

The CBN deals with all financial related complaints so far as it is against Financial Institutions within its regulatory purview.

Your complaint should be clear and concise to avoid ambiguity. The Complaint letter (petition) should contain amongst other things the following:
• Name, Address, Contact Phone Number & E-mail of the Complainant;
• Name of your Financial Institution;
• Personal banking details (Do NOT include PIN & Passwords, pleasewink
• History/Date of the transaction in dispute;
• Amount claimed (if any);
• Attach relevant documents to support you claim and;
• Evidence to show that you have first lodged the complaint at your bank.

in the alternative, you can make an online complaint through this link:

Cheers!
Wow, thanks.

Will find the time to do that.

I seem to 've having these banks time though. Just claimed N500 from a GT Bank branch where a torn and totally unspendable N500 note was dispensed.

The lady gave me a bit of trouble but I wasn't going to back down because it is very possible its a scam; tattered notes that CBN recycle are 're-distributed by unscrupulous elements within the system... who knows?

Hahahahhahhaha... You funny die . . I swear the bank is so fine these days... And do you know through their app, you can connect with their customer service through whatsapp feature... I was surprised to see it.

You have any issues, you just whatsapp them with the complaints, your case is treated asap.

Something good is really coming out from the bank.
I wish I had saved a screenshot of a Whatsapp message... 2 weeks, nothing! I will try re-add the Whatsapp number to see if it'll still show up for later evidence...

Additionally, since 2015 I've had 2 unresolved transactions of N70, 000 and N10, 000 via their useless USSD, that's N80K! I kid you not. I have proof and I've written letters to no avail.

A very stupid lady I went to see at their customer service clearly out of inexplicable hatred lied that I was not in line one of the times I went on complaint, this was after like 30 minutes of waiting o... very saucy and rude. I was so dejected an embarrassed... I NEVER and I repeat, NEVER jump queues... in fact at an ATM, if my transaction does not go through and I see that people on the line are agitated and I need to try yet again, I re-queue and not loiter close to the machine and then claim my right to usage after like one person behind me takes his turn...

Then again, there's the idiot guy - God forgive my anger today - that used to be so helpful and just totally refused to see me again. Why? He had asked me for a loan from the account! I didn't even decline, I was just putting it to thought but apparently he found another alternative after and short while and became utterly disrespectful. I couldn't believe it. This is something that os totally against their ethics o and he feels he doesn't need me again... no wonder he was helpful before!

I have since withdrawn it all and I have final balance... when I have their time, it is on social media et al. I will disgrace Union Bank and likely sue as well.

God is my witness in all this! Let me come and be going to church, or at least stream service.

On the end being 23rd, it's not exactly Biblical, at least, the sequence of events leading to 'the end'.

However, Planet X has been 'observed' and in an event that it does collide with our planet, many callouts as recorded in Revelations could be as a result of such and event.

Also, allegedly, Planet X has been known about and observered since as far back as, is it late '79 or '80 or '81?

Til now, no word has been said in an official capacity as per the effects a collision with particularly Planet X could have. Add that to mysterious deaths of about 2 heavy stakeholders in the know to as far back as early '80s.. plus so may other things...

May be hearsay but hey, definitely sometin a gwan these days!

Hey bro. I've used the EMU 1820, 1212 and the 0404 which are pretty much just different I/O's with the B2 mic some years back and it was very good. Though they are PCI or PCIe cards and most prefer USB and/or firewire, if you are OK that, go for it. I still have recordings from then.

EMU generally are OK. I just Googled and saw the 0404 and 0202 come as USBs... they didn't back then, at least the 0404.

There's really no best s/card for me but I favour RMEs (Fireface and UCX) Presonus range and though I'm yet to acquire them, Apogee and Universal Audio (Apollo Twin)

I need someone to help edit HTML code for a website.

Only 2 basic problems:

1. Irregular spacing in text in a section and "Read More" required
2. Pop up image should have a place where text to explain image can be inserted.

I'm not a developer. Just studied and edited the code to suit the need. This is the best way I can describe my problem.

First come, first served. Yeah, I know the money is small. For a true "Coder", it should be a brisk N5k.

Guy i believe channels is the best local station in Nigeria, but baba lets call a spade a spade and not a digging instrument, Channels just like most Nigerian corporation doesn't have that "Magic" of the likes of CNN or BBC. This magic isn't built on just money, it is built on innovation, strategy and passion. Christian Amanpour has been to the WAR front than most American soldiers, No Nigerian Journalist has even dared an interview with an high ranked Boko-Haram Commander, have you seen the dangers that some journalist put themselves in just to cover the 9/11 bombing. We also have passionate individuals like that in Nigeria but trust me they hardly get hired.

when you watch TV in Nigeria, you hardly learn, all this Nigeria presenters are star" conscious, Watch Hardtalk and see how Steve of BBC makes you know more about obasanjos mode, and Amanpour calls Buhari with his first name, but seun of Channels would be shouting Sir to ordinary senators.......This compromises quality.

Let me ask you how you got to know about RIchard Quest? His show is popular right? there are few quality shows on Nigerian TV which translate to few prime time for Expensive adverts.

Go check out Ajazera,CNN, CNBC and BBC, they attract only the best of Journalist, BBC took James ochole(not sure of spelling) from a Radio station in Lagos, Fareed Zakaria started working in CNN when his freelance article received national acclaim, in Nigeria people dont make it to the TV screen without some help"....

And there is no competition for breaking news, good stories among reporters in Nigeria,Just few good guys like chamballen, Maupe etc.

CNN, BBC and co write, report, broadcast and get involved in everything.... The philosophy behind them is great not just the money
Succinctly put!

Better you use 12 mm double glazed with proper sealing (or even vacuumed space between the glass) but that would be a waste if you don't ensure the soundproofing of other likely leak spots i.e. get a soundproof door too.

If cash is an issue for this, take @BushDoctor123's advise and use an mic isolation shield and it can be DIYed by the way. Just use headphones and record...

Music/RadioRe: Wasiu Ayinde Goofed: The Truth About The Creation Of Fuji Music by overboard(m): 5:00pm On Apr 16, 2017
Very, very interesting discourse here. Well done @Activa and you too @Kog45...

I've always in my mind attributed the 'creation' or at least the precursor music to Fuji being Apala from people like Haruna Ishola... Nice to know its origins in better light.

If I'm mistaken, I think KWAM1 takes credit for introducing the bass guitar to Fuji?

Also, an issue of concern for me is the way Fuji sounds nowadays... it seems like arrant noise. In the 80's and 90's or when I was growing up at least, the sound seemed coordinated, melodious and professionally put together but to me now, its like just free-styling music by a bunch of rascals or is it just the so-called 'live' versions? I mean take Kollington, Barrister, Easy Sawaba et al, at least in the 90's and compare or am I wrong?

Additionally, Juju music - which I find more musical til date though I doubt I've heard any new thing of late - how did it come about if you know? That form of music seemed to have retained its musicality don't you think?

Cheers guys.

I don't think we should make too much about the interior or cars these days. Those things are available to all manufacturers and often are outsourced to other firms it all comes down to money and pricing. They are easy to imitate

The question is what if anything can any car manufacturer do that others cannot copy. This comes down to issues like quality and the Japanese companies appear to have a slight edge.

The next question is in the luxury segment of the market do the customers know this and are they prepared to pay for it.The answer is No!! That is the problem Lexus have that has triggered this lament. If you take a pair of jeans ,the same jeans and put the Gucci Tag on it you can charge more that Hugo Boss. Why? That is the problem Lexus have. Not a lack of quality but a perception that it is not quite the best
Toyota needs to stop cannibalizing itself . I do not see why it is making SUVs that are Toyotas that are very similar to the Lexus jeeps .This weakens the Lexus brand. They should learn from Audi
You are a positioning disciple.
