Wrong mentality.

Op, do the needful. Trust me, dis ting called fraud is a destiny killer. All the justification Yahoo Boys give is pure twaddle.

I know the average Nigerian totally lacks ethics and it is hard to live right in Nigeria no matter how hard you try - I mean, if you could get away with offering N2k to a traffic officer to let you go for not wearing seatbelt, you’ll actually thank God for that ‘opportunity’ rather than being a straight arrow and face the music... it’s woven like fabric into our day to day... nonetheless, where we can absolutely do better, let’s do so.

Oga. Check my history on NL. This is my home. And he asked - I offered what I know.

I provided a name that is easily verifiable. Likewise that location and is functional. It’s a school - Creche, KG, Primary and Secondary school.

I know you’re trying to help though and everyone needs to be careful.

Tip:
*Always share with someone your movements and details
* If possible, use Google Maps to locate and share your trip with a close person or family; I do that often so that I may be tracked real time.
* Be utterly vigilant when walking or even driving especially in low population/quiet areas. Develop a habit of self awareness.
* Pray to God. Na im get de final power.

Cheers.

Business / Re: In Defense Of Aliko Dangote By Oluwole Dada by overboard(m): 10:16am On May 16, 2021
Oluwole Dada is trying to make sense but his points, save for Cost Leadership - and in Dangote’s case is somewhat questionable or how it’s achieved is likely due to effects of favouritsm - so I’d beg to differ.

Differentiation is a factor he also mentioned and that totally misses the mark. He’s just made mention of a phenomenon that is not applicable to Dangote’s products. Dangote does not produce any product in the technology sector that fits into the form of what the gentleman is using as defense.

If he is talking about differentiation as may be applied to a wide range of product offerings across categories, then that makes it even more confusing...

Perhaps price differentiation is true for Dangote products, I can’t independently confirm as my personal experience doesn’t seem to support it. I could be wrong though.

However, for features, no; coverage, maybe; reputation, maybe.

Even using focus as a strategy leaves me miffed as he fails to hammer on how exactly Aliko utilizes this.

I’m still learning but to me, laser beam focus is not present at Dangote Industries as Dangote is a branded house with diverse products unless he means each category he enters into, he tops it through focus. Tell that to the marines when we talk of his noodles/flour foray.

Nonetheless, Dangote does employ tens of thousands of Nigerians and the impact of this singled out without reference to the alleged favoured-by-government and other perceived crimes is laudable.

And given the same opportunity, some may not be able to convert that grace to the money-spinning world class industries as Dangote has and for that at least, some enviable measure of intelligence and entrepreneurial prowess is present.

CSoul:
(Created this new account to post for a sister)

Please help advice a sister in confusion.....

Background:

"I reconnected with my old school toaster who always spoke marriage and love.
Got serious in 5 months.
I've met a lot of people from his end within this period.
He shows me off.
Introduction was done and wedding date fixed."

Issues:
Traditional is barely a week away; yet she's bleeding and scared of the future because of her discoveries:

1. The husband to be has anger issues. Ok, he's all nice and good when in good mood. But once something triggers him, all hell is let loose. The trigger can be a simple missing his call(while at work/meeting). No amount of sweet talk or explanations calms him down.

2. The shocker is that he cheats/has a fuckmate living nearby. She discovered this with evidence from their chats and hasn't been herself. The chat is detailed description of their exploits right up to the present and future plans how they'll continue after he's married. (From same chat, the other lady is aware he's getting married.
He tried denying it; when it didn't work he started making excuses/begging he'll change.

3. He doesn't want any third party intervention in their affairs, not even counseling.

She's scared of the future and yet feels stuck as court marriage is done already, most preparations have been done(publicity and most of other physical arrangements), both for the traditional and wedding.

Kindly give your mature advice; she'll be reading every bit of it.

8. Lost
9. Critical assignment
10. The bourne Identity
11. Sugar Hill

The OP is a learner!

Well done. Kudos to @HEAVEN4444 and @ZooOga as well for the Sugar Hill mention. That’s was one of the first times I particularly witnessed anything Nigerian-related in a Hollywood movie.

Miami Vice of the 80’s did however had an episode about drugs from Nigeria.

“President Buhari” was literally predicted to be in a season of 24 that I can’t remember.

One stupid movie used our coat of arms in a letterhead for something utterly unrelated to Nigeria.

I think it is Children of Men, a movie featuring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Clive Owens amongst other had a wailing song
In Igbo.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in prison series Oz in a scene where he was about to fight I think), said “Oya”.

If I remember anymore I’ll update this post.

You should’ve named the person or people na.

Anyway, I don’t disagree.

This album by my standards was just ok, notin mega and I’d pick Fireboy DML’s over it... I even prefer African Giant to Twice As Tall.

However, it may sound simplistic but could very well have helped are my postulations below:-

I. Diddy’s influence as executive producer is likely the number one factor and may be key;

II. The inclusion of a network some individuals, directly or by proxy like Timbalnd, renowned Youssou N'Dour, Marc Anthony etc

III. All these capped with an earlier nomination, Angelique Kidjo’s dedication of her win then to him; his bold calling-out attitude i.e. SWXSW and resultant higher visibility and so on

Note: Solely my opinion.

Congrats Burna.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Dr. Oba Otudeko was single handedly responsible for sacking Bernard Ojeifo Longe when the ECONET saga befell First bank in the early 2000s. That saga exposed his influence on the board then when Longer went to seek redress in court ending with a fat cheque in his favour.

These Methuselahs should give way for new ideas and progress before they use their unwarranted influence to destroy great brands.

Ha, ha... you’re informed. Spot on.

Terrorism is a hydra headed monster, it's head keeps growing out
It's like cutting an earthworm, it doesn't die until you put salt

No matter if any country succeeds in arresting or killing this man
Sadly another one will arise and follow his steps.

There's been speculations that Shekau had been killed, but ISWAP and Boko Haram persists.
It's not about Shekau

It's sad because it's a vicious cycle. It just keeps rolling.
You need to see documentaries and leaked videos of how little children as young as 5 are already being trained, taught to hate and indoctrinated.

Many of their children are pushed to the Western world to school, give birth, obtain citizenship, run for offices, change policies to their favour, destroy foundations and principles and that's the end of Solomon Grandi.

Do you know who the mayor of London is abi was? It's not about his religion but his extremism.
Its not about religion or tribe, but extremism and the devil.
After all Rev King claims to be a 'Christian' and his followers are spending millions on birthday ads for him. Was he a Christian leader before incarceration? Could he have been regarded as a servant, follower or obedient child of God?

Its not about religion or tribe.
Many Christian missionaries who go to opposing regions are killed despite their good deeds for them. See China, see Somalia, see Congo and see Yemen.

Some Imams and lay faithful of Islam have helped to shield and hide people of other faiths (Jews and Christians) during attack on the "infidels"

What is it then?
Extremism.

The extreme CAC member who won't marry from Apostolic faith. The sunni girl who won't marry the shia man. The wawa father who won't give out his daughter to the osu man. The Ebira who won't vote for the Okun. The Catholic who would say other denominations are inferior and the Assemblies of God member who'd say all catholics don't know bible and worship Mary.

Fallacies. Extremism. Hate. Vile. Herd-mentality. Bandwagon. ITKs

Someone will come and say who am I to judge?

Common sense and your conscience will judge you?

Ordinary common sense will reveal many truths to us but because that truth sounds like what's from the Bible we quickly condemn it, reject and blaspheme it, just to prove to be neutral, secular, woke, atheist, anti Christian, logical or open minded. The fact is that there is the absolute truth.

You can't be open minded with issues of corruption, oppression, rape, ritualists or scam. It's sealed! One way road...

So how can you excuse a guy who scammed a random man using his ATM or BVN to pay his school fees and forget the victim who happens to be a pensioner who relied on that money for his daily upkeep and BP medications? You justify Osama bin laden, terrorism, kidnapping, forceful marriage, under aged marriage, destruction of other's livelihoods, imposition of their own in faith based schools, subtle jihad and conquest from a religion, just because you don't want to look bias and one sided! They are your neighbours, in laws, Co workers and helpers so you keep shut and wait for meat from the next Ileya.

Are you kidding me? You better take sides, even if people tell you that you are not open minded, you are partial, a bigot, unaccommodating and all the false narratives they've used to quench the spirit of many gullible Christians. Christians who like the seeds who fell on the rocks and thorns have been drowned by the world.

Stand for your faith and defend your Bible and it's teachings. God's word and be an ambassador for Jesus Christ, God's son, the light and only saviour.

Are you ashamed of being a man (eg Bobrisky), or a woman (because Mosdi says the ones in Nigeria are all useless including the seamstresses, lawyers, teachers, nannies, bakers, engineers, doctors, nurses, all and all his female relatives, which you laugh off as nothing)?

Then why should you be ashamed of living as a Christian? Why do you leave it in church like a garment and 'secularise' all through the rest of the week, online, at work, even at home and in your hood. Just so you won't be regarded as a bigot, simp, dull close minded illogical person, holier than thou or spirikoko?

Are you a Christian and you see an unrepentant sinner blaspheme and ridicule your faith and you keep quiet, you don't correct the person in love and stand for the right position? You don't do well. Even if it's in jokes, comedy skits, false prophets on the altar or on the political terrain.

Are you a Christian and a fellow Christian is being threatened to be killed by Boko Haram by live streaming and it doesn't touch you that this is a deliberate fight against the kingdom of God and you are not praying or speaking aganist it or condemning it or raising awareness about it at all? That's not right.

Are you a Christian and you feel because Reno or any other person you don't like like FFK speaks up for Leah Sharibu you won't do anything about her case? A Muslim girl was 'falsely' accused of carrying drugs in Saudi and the FG and Abike swiftly acted and got her released. Do you know how many Christians have been coincidentally falsely accused and had drugs planted on them in Malaysia and co who have been 'successfully' killed without any intervention by FG? See the xenophobic attack in SA, Ghana and covid19 discrimination by China against Nigerians from a part of Nigeria which government never spoke up for. Who's speaking up for the Obigbo community? Which news outlet, political party, NGO, celebrity, blog, protest match, church, adviser or group? No Gumi from the SS SW SE or NC?

If you think September 11 2001 didn't concern you as a Nigerian, think again. It was an attack on the world. An attack in a place they knew citizens from several nations will be in. It was an attack against a country that is carrying 'Christianity' on its head like a turban or tray of agbalumo, but is deep rooted in satanism, secularism and sin. Still they attack them in the guise of attacking the judo Christian God.

Imagine if someone killed your brother or neighbour thinking it was you, who he actually intended to kill.
Would you be happy? Would you heave a sigh of relief knowing that even if they missed you as their target, their intention has killed you already in their minds? No na

Finally, if you are Anglican and they kill a Catholic seminarian in Zaria, they kill you.
If you are in Christ embassy and they kill an RCCG member out on morning cry, they kill you.
If you are in GOFAMIT and they abduct ECWA members from Chibok or Sabo Tasha, they did it to you.
If you are in Deeper life and they ridicule Living Faith over what the Bible says, they ridicule you.

My observation is this,
When I type with my android and I type satan, they automatically change the s to uppercase.
When I type Jesus, they auto-correct it as jess, or leave it as jesus without changing the j to J.
They x the Christ in Christmas and Christianity.
They pause God in Multichoice.
They leave El Amin and attack schools for the low income earners in big Niger.
They leave the Indimis and Buratais and conveniently take the Dapchis.
They leave Akpos who had a 1st class and a PhD and appoint a Bawa.
They kill a Terwase who surrendered and embraced peace and was going for reconciliation and they leave a man named Sokoto who admitted to bombing the UN building.
They leave a Gumi who has robbed shoulders with the killer kidnappers and arrest an Obadiah the CBN man and summon him to Abj and Lag for questioning.
They leave southern Kaduna and Ulemo road before Auchi and instead hover their helicopters over Orlu

Pls what are the diffenecences career diplomat and not career ones.

Those with knowledge of Int'l relations pls enlighten me.

Career ambassadors are trained diplomats who go through the academy and the job is their bread and butter. The other ones - the set the government obviously gave priority to - are usually political appointees usually done to satisfy their political constituencies.

Not knocking the political appointees o but they are often regarded a rogue set. Most will go to their respective missions, with the mindset of 'na chop be dis', disgrace the country further with their wanton display of tactlessness and lack of diplomatic culture.

Look very closely at the numbered list, the best missions have been handed out to them...

Diplomacy is demanding and should be more often than not, be handled by suave, cultured and learned diplomats. Of course, there are non-career appointees that will do a good job either through character or decide to take crash courses in the art of diplomacy like chewing on Satow's Guide to Diplomatic Practice, the diplomat's bible.

Note: Career diplomats are civil servants.

Go to toilet, use toilet paper extensively, wash your hands very well and dry your hands...

On day 2.

Go to toilet, use water to clean up with your precious bare hand and if available, use soap...

Now, repeat step 2 as above.
