I was wondering, why are there no parachutes in air planes?

Am sure the pilots knows that the plane will crash like 5/10 minutes time b4 it eventually crashed

If there was parachutes inside the aircraft the pilots would told them to jump & save themselves

Then, even if na lions den u land put, at least u know u still have a lifeline cry cry

Not that straightforward bro.

Using parachute requires training and a passenger jet is not necessarily designed for mass disembarkation should, per chance, majority of fliers be capable of that. Hugely unlikely.

Assuming regular folks are even trained en masse to fly out of a plane hypothetically speaking, the timing and logistics nko? - obviously this particular crash had a speedy altitude decline and it would most certainly be utterly disorienting.

In comparison, statistics favour flying against other forms of transportation and it is a highly regulated industry with the strictest measure of safety compliance - nor be like Saka wey go just start im molue for momo and work don start be dat!

I doubt the authenticity of this news.

Uzoma has been peddling the idea of selling Diamond to Access but not all on the board are with it. In fact, officially, the board frowned at the attempt without due process as he was trying to hold on to his CEO-ship after having been prevailed upon to resign for dismal performance and very poor corporate governance among other issues.

3 non-executive directors 'resigned' in order for Uzoma to put his verbal agreement into writing... and he has. It is to come into effect, sometime January 2019. All these according to more credible reports, source that I cannot immediately find.

Where the sale issue now comes from baffles me.

Chanchit:

I'm sure you do not live in his constituency, if you do, you won't say this trash. He doesn't even need to campaign because he has exceeded our expectations.

Huh?

I'm actually saddened by Desmond's candidacy. I rooted for him - mentally at least - but he disappointed me.

Even though I believe in Bankole Wellingtons's move as he is very cerebral, this trait often doesn't automatically translate to good representation. It takes more than that to get things done and it really boils down to being truly prepared and committed to a cause. I mean, we've seen this with the Buhari-Change saga; talk, talk and more talk with little action to back that much verbosity.

So, is Desmond going to stop himself being distracted with movie-making and face his job as a rep? Imagine an Honourable having the time to direct a series for Iroko TV in the thick of his representation? And having the gumption to flaunt his craft at that where, I suspect, there is supposedly a civil service rule that a politician should divest his or hereself from personal business when representing a people. For instance, Trump's business affairs are managed by a trust, albeit his sons in the meanwhile.

This is my fear for Susu's boo too. He appears heavily invested in his businesses and may be distracted. I pray not.

Though I'm not an RMD fan, but in his time as commissioner, he was totally immersed in his work taking a break from Nollywood. I'm not privy to the quality of his politicking but the way to go is truly take that work serious and let it be the focus. He is back to his acting and cashing in, no?

Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bankole Wellington & Desmond Elliot should be different from RMD, Banky W, Denziot

Definitely not.

I know Nnaemeka Obiaraeri or at least have met and interacted with him. I'm also privy to quite a bit of his biography. He is truly a man of integrity and a true administrator. I know this may have been said of many but this Nnaemeka guy is made of stuff, he's not empty; forget the lack of popularity for now. He even tried preventing the rot at Bank PHB then in his own way but the powers that be would not have it.

They may be on platform that may not hold much electoral grace (for now) but fielding such people is a step in the right direction.

This don't mean I don't like Sowore.

he that knows not, but thinks he knows when he knows he knows not is a fool forever .. reno just play on wailers intelligence anytime he wants .. most youth wonnt read not to talk of making research ...
next level is just a project more like a course ... a course does not have or carry a logo ,, all it simply requires is give it a title.
next level can not be plagiarized neither can the font style ...the only thing that could have been plagiarized without acknowledgement is rex institute logo itself... beside in early 2000 yinka ayefele released next level album ...did he also plagiarized rex institute "next level" grin
you guys are just a disgrace to whatever resume you claim to have .. the day i will have one on one encounter with that omokri i will post it live

You kinda lost me though you seemed to be towing some good logic initially. Why do I say so?

Obviously, Reno misrepresented the facts by not stating that it was simply the insignia of the Winthrop University/Rex Institute project logo that was taken in entirety - bad enough - and not anything conceptually as it concerns Rex Institute's version of "Next Level". But that in itself is a great offense!

What became of the"Change Begins With Me" project albeit allegedly stolen? Even the project logo for that endeavour was dismal talk less the actual campaign. This is the ripple effect/chain reaction of an ill-prepared administration and such colossal fails would be their staple output.

Away from the digression, the "Next Level" stylization is the same with just hue difference colour-wise. So, in this context at least, "Next Level" was indeed plagiarized font style inclusive.

"Next Level" as a coinage is not exclusive to anyone but with the other creative assets matching, that is a great indictment on a government at the federal level even if not the core idea.

And who is to say the entire project wasn't lifted sef?

Lol @ comments on the doctored, Dolby, bad sound engineer/voice over artist posts.

It needn't get to Dolby Labs for us to even ascertain its doctored/non-doctored status. It's something we or I, can do, or do.

Even if some doctoring was done, it couldn't have been more than some cuts or juxtaposing (though doubtful bearing in mind the full context of the audio). Likely some denoizing thus the wobbly nature of the recording; and that sef could just be recording device quality or simply setting i.e. low sample rate (KHz) . It is a long audio file with all the attendant nuances & artifacts though the background ambiance seems slightly muffled which may be due to the reason of noise removal.

The major concern is matching the tonal signature of Saraki's known recordings to this to get a definite match but non-technical or simple listening analysis sef give an 85% likelihood it's Oloye!

On Ganduje's videos, even though some dates mismatches were pointed out in the premiering episode, the only way that likeness of the Kano governor is not him is if it is a deep fake!

Infinixhot6:
2019: MISTAKES ATIKU/OBI CAMPAIGNS MUST AVOID

By Val Igwebuike

The presidential campaign is billed to start tomorrow. I know the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization, APCO registered many Support groups from across the country.

Perhaps, APCO is still planning to address the support groups for Atiku before the commencement of the presidential campaigns. Many feel bad that they have not been communicated to!

However, I am surprised that many of these support groups that have been working for Atiku even before his emergence as the PDP presidential candidate have not been officially reached to by APCO till now.

This is not healthy for the general and collective interest of Atiku/Obi presidential aspiration.

APCO will do well by reaching these support groups and intimate them with necessary plan of activities within their scope. I am talking from experience.

We pray APCO does not make the Fatal mistake the Managers of Goodluck Support Group made in 2014, which led to the colossal electoral defeat of the then incumbent PDP and President Jonathan.

Among other things, the major factor that resulted to the defeat of Jonathan and PDP by Buhari and APC was the collapse of Goodluck Support groups into the PDP presidential campaign organization, which allowed PDP chieftains to manipulate the structures for selfish and personal gains to the electoral detriment of President Jonathan and the PDP.

The PDP chieftains jettisoned all known rules governing the support groups and their interest, ignored them with reckless abandon, and treated the members of the support groups with disdain.

The money that was budgeted for the support groups that had been working assiduously for Jonathan for more than one year before the presidential campaign kick-started were diverted to motor park touts and their bus drivers by the chieftains of PDP presidential campaign organization.

The support groups were told that there was no money provided by Jonathan for the election.

Before the eyes of this responsible members of the various support groups, who were not partisan politicians, some of whom were utterly apolitical, respected men and women, who came together only to demonstrate their love and support for Jonathan were used like beggars by these greedy and insensitive PDP chieftains, who took the campaign monies and gave to their friends, relatives and well-wishers, who had nothing to do with Jonathan and his presidential campaign.

With this grossly unscrupulous manipulation of the entire Goodluck Support groups by these PDP members, the leadership members of these support groups took drastic decision, instructing their members to allow only PDP members to campaign and vote for Jonathan.

They decided that they would not vote for Jonathan again. They also announced that they would not vote for Buhari either. They ordered their highly aggrieved members to stay at home on the day of the presidential election. That decision of the support groups filtered into the ears of the APC leadership, who were genuinely desperate to win elections by all means and at all cost.

The APC chieftains went after the aggrieved members of Goodluck Support groups. Some followed them out of anger and some did not. That was exactly what transpired between the Goodluck Support groups and members of the PDP as a result of the coalition of the two different independent bodies that would have worked for same purpose. I know of all these because I was part of the entire system then, and I witnessed all that succinctly happened.

One thing is clear and certain. It is one thing to gather crowd, it is also another different thing to manage the crowd effectively for the purpose it was gathered. A crowd you gathered for a purpose could be disastrous to an interest if wrongly handled as a result of human greed and personal aggrandizement. Your once beloved crowd could become potential multiple enemies that could turn against you.

That was why Goodluck Jonathan had virtually no supporters to join the fainted voice of PDP to protect against the conspicuous election RIGGING by the APC and the INEC. That was why many supporters of PDP and President Jonathan joined APC to demand that the former Publicity Secretary of PDP, Chief Olisa Metu be prosecuted for the earblocking amount of millions he cornered to himself at the expense of victory for his party.

This time, the Atiku Presidential Campaign organization, APCO must be careful not to repeat the disastrous mistake of 2015. The groups they have gathered for Atiku before now must be used to market and sell Atiku and his positive political Concepts to Nigerian electorates. Any disdainful attitude to these groups must be avoided.

To completely avoid the repetition of the painful experience of 2015, it is better and electorally profitable to allow APCO function differently, supervising the activities of the support groups for effective and advantageous interest and good results. Any attempt to collapse the support groups into the management of PDP presidential campaign organization will spell doom for Atiku/Obi and the PDP as whole.

This is the hard truth, it could also be bitter; it is natural.

Noted.
