Good day house. I just got an email this morning 08 December 2017(3 months after biometrics) to submit my original passport. I already have a US Visa appointment scheduled for 5th Jan 2018. My concern is that I am not sure if Canadian embassy would have returned my passport before the 5th Jan 2018 US visa appointment. thanks
Please does anyone know how long the Canadian embassy take to return the passport, as I do not want to reschedule my US visa appointment.

The only form I printed and had my wife sign, was the use of representative. All other, where digitally signed with my full name.

Most Bank's debit card can be used now,CBN relapsed the ban months back unless you are telling us there is a new restriction. Try GTbank, FBN naira mastercards. They should work, cos from the last mail they sent, the monthly limit is $1000

These are my questions:
1. Any addition or subtraction to d above documents? There is usually a checklist when you do the eligibility check, follow it. Most of the ones you have seems to be in order.
2. He was banned for UK visa in 2006 for false documentation thru a travel agent; should he indicate it in his Canada application, hope it will not affect his chances? . The whole idea of requesting for most of the documents in the checklist is for profiling, hence, for your interest, you are specifically requested to upload all visas(granted or denied), no cover ups.
3. is d required passport foto d same as that of US? No,they are not. US passport is bigger. You can get the dimension on CiC website.

I welcome everyone's response particularly the gurus.

Pls, I'm a novice. Can I withdraw some amount of the money and fix it or it's not really necessary?
Moreover, my wife only has sworn affidavit and not Newspaper's change of name. Any issue with this too?
Thirdly, pls detail of how to apply for my 5month old baby.

Hello @Sleekier, seems your questions have been overlooked. Well, to the best of my knowledge, I don't think not having a fixed deposit is a show stopper, I didn't have any when I applied for myself and wife.

Secondly, as it the time of my application,I had a balance of approx #2Mil for a family of 3.

As for the third question, I believe applying for a minor is the same way you would apply for a dependent but all other supporting documents like employment and academic qualifications wouldn't be necessary. My opinion though.

Submitted their application online on the Fri 13th oct
Biometric request mail received on Sat 14th Oct
Biometric done on Mon !6th Oct
Passport request email received Fri 1st Nov! (what a wonderful way to start the month Thanks be to God)

I even have a small problem, i will be traveling to south africa and wont be back till end of next week. Does anyone know how many days it takes from submission of passport to visa issuance?

Am in PH,sent mine in via UPS on a Thursday and got it back by tuesday. Since you are in Lagos, it will definitely be faster

1. I was unable to open the IMM 5257(Application form) from my document checklist but other forms like family information form opened. So I downloaded the IMM5257 to my computer, filled it out, and uploaded it. The site prompted me to double check to make sure I uploaded the correct document and that it is viewable. 2. I'm self employed so I was told to upload Business Registration, I understand this is CAC docs, but do I include the Company bank Statements and sole signatory letter from bank here OR I should include them with my personal bank statements under POF?

Both @travelpes and @jayfierce nailed it. However, for the family photo part, i included those in proof of relationship, that's if you have a relation who is permanent resident.

Every other document in Q3, i appended to POF.

I thought the statement of account needed for Canadian TRV is for a period of 4month, please check it again on CiC website. Feb to October is a whooping 8months.

Please how do I address these refusal reasons
1. Travel history
I have traveled to the UK about 8 times, Canada(for a one week workshop), India, Turkey, Dubai, South Africa, Kenya.
I have never spent more than 1 week on those trips. And never broken any immigration rules.

2. Purpose of visit
My wife and I were traveling to spend the Christmas holidays in Toronto with her brother and in law who are in Toronto.
We stated this clearly and with a detailed itinerary and thorough explanation with invitation letters and copies of her brothers permanent resident card and citizenship card of her brother's wife.

We also addressed previous refusal reasons and why we will return to Ghana immediately after our visit including the fact that i am studying for my PhD in Ghana and my wife is undertaking her compulsory National Service (we provided documents to support this) including school fees payment receipts.

How can we address these two reasons honorable members. I just don't know what to included again in my next application. I may not be able to wait for GCMS notes because of lack of time. You know they take too long to process an application so i need to apply early enough.

When was this visa denial ? I suggest you back track a bit, take it cool and go through every bit piece of information you provided in your first application.

For online application, nope. You go with your passport after capturing. Dunno if it's the same with paper applications.

brosss letter writin no hard na, you state your intents dat all and put all the relevant details shikena. Ensure it is properly addressed and followthe principles of letter writing.

you can draft something and PM someone to help you proof read. Nobody go help you write letter here o as they don't know you and your intention as much as you do.

A lawyer will charge you as much as N40k to N100k just to write letter. so do it yasef
