My US B1/B2 expired July 2016. I chose then not to renew it as I wasn't planning on travelling to the US for a while. And more so, I must have seen somewhere on their website that one could still apply after 24 months (not so sure anymore though).

I now wish to make a trip there for the Christmas and wonder if I am still eligible to renew it via Dropbox.

Please note that I visited the US twice on that visa and beer spent more than 1 week in each case.

Kindly advise.

I don't remember reading anywhere on their website that you have to wait 24months but i do remember seeing one is entitled to dropbox for a period of one year after visa expiration. As it stands now, i think you will have to start the whole visa application from scratch.

No, I didn't l. Proof of financial support was on its own on myCIC document upload section. In it were my statement of accounts for two banks, ref letter, pension acct statement, shares and proof of landed docs. In my employment section, we uploaded the letters, ID's etc

Congrats.Please help clarify.I have completed the Questionnaire for the online application and document upload section was shown.I have a concern as i picked Visit family and/or friends(main applicant), Visit-All other types(spouse) and the letter of invitation upload box came up.However in the main application form the Visit family and/or friend is not available. In my situation am visiting a friend and his family.

1.What was your main purpose in the FORM?Tourism or Family Visit? Family visit
2.On the relationship with inviter, please what did you upload?I uploaded family photo with the inviter in it.
3.For spouse where can i upload employment and financial evidence?As the primary applicant, the financial part is only available to you .
wrt to employment letter. I scanned all my employment letter, hers and even staff IDs of our current employers etc and put it all in a single word document.

Well, there wont be much wahala if you declare whatever you have correctly. The CBP officers will generally, on most times, not waste your time unless you give them reasons to. If you've got items worth looking into or otherwise, do make sure they are properly declared in the declaration card.
Also, buckle up to make a run for it. I've had a similar layover at houston to New Jersey and had to dash to catch up.

Bro, let's be realistic here. You are a full blown adult, possibly a graduate who works and gets paid, yet your uncle is sponsoring your trip.
Why on earth would your uncle pick up such responsibility when he probably has a family or other things he is responsible for?

Most times, it's not about the huge sums in one's account(s) that secures the visa but the intent

If you were the VO reviewing this kinda case, will you grant the visa?

Anyway, that's just my opinion, you just might apply and get it. We can't really predict a VO's decision.
