Sports / Re: Argentina, Nigeria, Korea Republic, Greece: Do We Stand A Chance? by OvieE: 2:05am On Dec 06, 2009
I do not care whether Nigeria prepare or not, history has reveal itself again but I believe they will prepare. Argentina must be worrying now because for the previous world cup US94 and Japan/South Korea, Argentina has never advance to round 16. Argentina only went to round 16 in US 49 for best third place. So they have something to worry about. I am sure Nigeria will be a different team when to get to SA. I believe Nigeria will help either Greece or Korea to next round.

Nigeria should come from this group easily. Argentina is nothing, they nearly fail to qualify too. Nigeria will top this group.

I stand to be corrected.

Don't mind that idiot. Some people just say thing without thinking with their brain. They should that Portugal and France cannot be the same group. Nigeria might not even be the same group with either one.

I believe you do not know what profile of someone mean. What you put there is just a picture. Go to dictionary and look for meaning of profile.

Thumbs up!!

Keep doing what you're doing and don't mind the clowns.

They are anti lagos and will always find something to run their mouths about, you don't want to waste your time paying attention to their whining and crying.

Their villages and hamlets are bleeped up and they obviously have jealousy issues, we know them.

You're a monkey as usual.

Can you please show us some pictures of public schools, hospitals and probably other parts of Lagos?
Not everybody is rich enough to live in all these places shown. Enough of these buildings built probably with looted funds and show us where the not so rich people live. One does not have to be extremely rich to enjoy certain basic thing of life.

Me too tired. They post Victoria, Lagos over and over. They always run away from true color of Lagos.

What a fucckkin lie. You mean ourmate who wants to be like us when we land? The one that jealous that I wish I live in abroad too. how many time they deny you visa? All this mania jobs you people in Nigeria are talking about I do not see them. You need to travel out and see Nigeria professional from all respected fields. A graduate doctor in Nigeria travel out and never return. Have you people back in Nigeria never ask your self a question. White Americans and black Americans travel out of US and go to another country. Would you tell me that they are running away. people travel out all the time so I do see the big deal about Nigeria traveling out.

I mean i never saw myself in a long distance relationship but cuz i love my boo so much im gona do it, and when we are together I'm gona look back at this and realise all the pain/arguing/tears was worth it.

@poster

i understand exactly ow u feel but all i will say is keep hanging in there and sometimes you just have to keep your feelings to urself. in respect to tough times. i am in one right now. her parents are giving her too much stress and pressures at home plainly because we are from different tribes igbo and yoruba. so that is putting stress on the relationship for the past few weeks, i have been the one always doing the calling and communication even if i feel i am not getting much attention i should be getting, but all i can do is take things the way they are and continue supporting her and just overlook it. as it is only for a short time.

out of sight doesnt necessarily or does not always equals to out of mind.

You are not just encouraging the poster, you are encouranging me as well. This is kind of post that bring people together. thank you.

Politics / Re: How Many Diasporic Nigerians Will Survive. This Is A Serious Issue. by OvieE: 1:12am On Nov 16, 2009
becomrich,:

You would be shock by the number of nigerian with dual citizen. Most nigerian abroad are no more illegal resident. Those days are gone. Nigerian now have lawyers abroad , who can help you process your document legally.

If you want to come and live abroad. you can have legal resident without going to olowole.

There are scams out there. But i know how. And how know some people who are honest to prepare your papers and in 18 month, you and your family, can legally relocate.

There are nigerian who have been living over here for 40 years . may more than 30 years. Some nigerian where born aboard and they have grand children already. Some speak yoruba and never have been to nigeria and have grand child.

Most nigerian abroad would never come back home. NEVER. I say 80% would never return back to nigeria.

It is more than exchanging naira for a dollar.

You look at what facilities this society provide. Dangote , Adenuga or femi odetola does not get them in nigeria.

Good road for example. I have lived in a society with very good road. how do you expect them to go back to a country with shit road,

In the last 40 years , only one time in 40 years, for just some few hours. that electricity went off in canada and the USA. Do you expect someone who have lived with electricity all his life to come back and live without.

Even those who send money to build houses in nigeria. may never use them. some of them have never slept in the houses one day.

It is close to impossible to live a good society and say, you want to go and live in hell call nigeria.

Nigeria govt do not care for nigerian.

After living here. The solution is to remove the yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa into benin republic and now do what they do here. Nigeria then would work.

I really feel you on that part I bolded. My family have houses in Lagos, Benin city, Warri, Abraka and Okpara Insland. Ask me how many time have any member of my family slept on. May one or two weeks in two or three year when we go. Right now, my father even regret have this house in Nigeria. I currently working with a one psychiatry doctor from Anabra state. Right now as I am speaking, he is putting all his three house in Onitsha on sale because he made a promise never to go to Nigeria with all this kidnapping going in his state. You are very right because after years of living in a high society, who want to adjust to Nigeria. The last time my sister went to Nigeria was 2005 and till now they still say they will never go there again. They complain about everything and the smelling in every Nigeria cities. Though my father is still try if can take them home in two for the last time.

@poster

i can understand what you going through and how you feel. thats what happens you both tend to disagree and argue on most things and it makes matters worse becuse there is nothing you can do about it. thats why i said somethings would happen that if you were in naija you both would have trashed it out but cos u r here you just have to put up with most things. and in regards to the insecurity you just have to believe and trust your guy although its not that easy becos right now anytime i cal my babe and she doesnt answer, different thoughts start going through my mind. even thou i trust her soo much but few things happening at the minute is not making all well.

you definately need more than love.

You are right on bold part. My wife and I argue and disagree most time. I sometime tell her I need more than the love all the time. But oneday all will be over.

I am in your shoe too. I got marry last. My wife still in Nigeria and I am in USA as well. January or February she will join. I cannot wait because it will help me a lot to ease extra spending and worrying.

@poster, listen tour heart. It works if you focus. Just be patient. I know is not easy, always talk more often. I know is money when you call long distance but it will ease your pain or worrying.

if this is true for your familty members in naija. . . its not the same everywhere!!!!!

please take that statement back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u are making peanuts to what most Nigerians who "earn well" make in a month!!!!

Eat your words man!!!!!

Who give a damn if they make more money. They making more than me yet still suffering from diseases to food shortages. Why don't you eat you shit. Do you think that everyone travel out of Nigeria because of money? I always tell my family here in America that I can generate more money from our family business back home than my family back there are generating. But I prefer to enjoy my life than to suffer in a land your leaders do care about. Your so call leaders, how many times do you think they stay in Nigeria? Three or four days a week.  Every Thursday and Friday, they fly to Ghana for long weekend and enjoy their life and return back on Sunday to stanch more money for the following weekend. Would you tell me that you fucck leaders children are in over seas because of money? The answer is no. Your ugly parents suffer in a bad environment/poverty and you want to follow their foot step. Travel out and enjoy the kind of life your leaders are keeping away from you and just maybe you will be among people that contribute to Nigeria economy.  Whether we send small or big, we contribute to the dieing economy. Someone like you with a big mouth, how much have contribute to the economy?.  Last word, please do not be upset for calling you parents ugly but do not live the kind of life of poverty your parents live OK.

By the way, try to do spelling check before post.
