You just have a problem with atheists then. I just hope your dislike will remain what it is, a dislike and not lead to some morbid need to commit a crime.

People have a right to believe whatever they want. The atheists, evolutionists, muslims and even you too! Since you obviously believe water is NOT a renewable substance then that's fine. As some say, whatever makes you sleep at night

You don't get my stance. I am NOT saying you can relate my posting to me in real life.

Look at it this way, I know a Mr Joe Bloggs works in Saipem as a sales executive and I stumble upon a post on nairaland where Mr John Doe wrote that sales executives earn 5 naira an hour; obviously, I now know how much Mr Bloggs earns.

This is what the OP wants rather what you are also suggesting which is Saipem pays between 1 naira an hour to 10 naira hr depending on position/years of experience etc and said asker can put her proposed job position on this sliding scale. Shikena! If the OP wants hard numbers, she can ask the HR officers. As I alluded in my first response, how can she verify that Mr John Doe's response is factual? John Doe could be responding from hearsay or just being outrightly mischevious.

@bookface

To each his own. Anyone can use this information to identify targets. The fact that your door can be broken down or acid poured on your padlock doesn't mean that you should live in a house without doors!

Sweetlemon: Na so Nigerians be. dem too dey hide things! Always afraid of 'enemies'
*rolls eyes
I beg una o! I'm doing the research because I'm trying to get a job there. And the Saipem is for a cousin. I'm not a criminal or long-throat relative (I already work in a reputable coy)
You don't need to say you work there (I don't care if you work there) just state what you know about the salary structure and working environment. That's all
Why don't you ask the HR officer during your interview how much your pay would be? Or do you know how much everybody in your present organisation earns?

Why can't we teach onyfrank instead of abusing him. He clearly doesn't really know a lot about a lot of things including the bible and basic science. He also believes certain portions of material thought in school is pointless which explains his inability to apply logic to his everyday life. (I wonder why anyone would get that idea though)

It is unfortunate and there are many like him that can't even type. Rather than point out the folly in him, let us try to educate him. Some youtube videos showing him that water does indeed turn to vapour and show him the components of urine.

I also hope he doesn't somehow believe the videos are made up because then we can't really help him.

Isn't this a security risk? I am not sure if I worked in Saipem, I would like to write down my pay. A research based on pay should be done relatively like Jarus has done. Looking for figures in this day and age when criminals and lazy relatives believe they have a right to your pay isn't going to get you a realistic answer.

In addition, I wonder why it is okay to build roads without pedestrian walkways? These single carriage ways that dot our landscape usually do not have pedestrain walkways. Why is it okay to drive above 40km/h in a built up area with human traffic? Nigerians are callous and in some twisted way, I support the burning of the car. People that do not appreciate handling a dangerous weapon like a car should not operate them or in this case, own them. We are always in a hurry and God only knows to where.

Everyday, I see m0r0ns bragging about driving at dangerous and illegal speeds on our bad roads and wonder whether they appreciate the dangers they are putting their lives and others on the roads with them. I wonder if they realise that in an eventuality, there are no ambulances or equiped clinics to handle them.

That said, I can also hazard a guess that the dead students were walking with their backs turned to oncoming traffic. This is a dangerous behaviour I see daily on our roads. In Primary school, we were taught to always walk facing the oncoming traffic especially on a single carriage way so you can SEE the car losing control. I wonder when people will include personal safety in their daily habits instead of relying on prayers alone.

People should learn and inculcate safe lifestyles. This and not prayers will prevent crazy accidents like this

How will you push the pride of PH from their ground to an interior location. Or don't you think we deserve something better than the trophyless Sharks? You're boasting of 10,000 capacity when we're talking of 25,000 capacity in Liberation. I would advice you guys to humbly accept the beautiful new stadium regardless of the location, besides it will be a bit advantage for your visitors not to suffer by transporting to the city but to trek down from the airport. The stadium is better than that school field.
So na Sharks deserve interior stadium? The Ikwerre fans of Dolphin can go to Igwuruta to support their beloved team. We want our Sharks to stay in town!

Sharks won the 1996 League on the field. Udoji united paid for the trophy and got disgraced the following season in the inaugural CAF Champions league. Can Dolphin even fill up civic centre? The only time Dolphin fills up any stadium is when Sharks are teaching Dolphin swimming lessons in Civic centre.

dominique: Guys don't mind my slight off-topic but i cant help but ask, are all these areas you guys are listing based in Port Harcourt? Is there more to Rivers than PH?
seems like Dolphins is favoured by most of the locals. What swayed people towards their direction desipite the fact that sharks is the indigenous team?
Towns outside PH do not really have football clubs and everyone used to support Sharks until Odili went to buy Eagle Cement FC. The Old players from RV state all played for Sharks Adokiye Amiesimaka, Finidi George, Imama Amapakabo, Richard Owubokiri, Furo Iyenemi, George Abbey and Taribo West. Dolphin(Eagle Cement) always bought players whilst Sharks used to play with PH groomed boys until recently. So NO, Locals do not favour Dolphin!
SportsRe: Dolphins FC Of Port-Harcourt Fan Thread by ow11(m): 11:20am On Mar 12, 2013
When Amaechi leaves office, Sharks will come back to Civic centre. Who will go to Igwuruta to go and watch Sharks play? I can't start patrolling from Borokiri to Igwuruta because of a game that is supposed to be in Civic centre!

Let him carry Dolphin and China Acheru to Igwuruta and leave Sharks in Town! Besides with the new upgrade, Sharks stadium can hold up to 10,000 fans which is good enough to NPL atmoshpere. When it grows, we can push yeye Dolphin aka Eagle Cement to Igwuruta and take over Elekahia stadium.

Whilst we are it, PLEASE KESHI, invite Sharks FC Right Back, Fortune Chukwudi to the Super Eagles! He will use his real age. . .Amiesimaka was only concerned about his age not his quality!

Life is not fair. Lobbyists pointing a finger at those that do the so called un-ethical means are being unfair to some extent. Heck, even those raised in good homes with access to good teachers that learnt to write proper application letters have an advantage over those who do not.

The motto should be try to get it/in within the limits of your own moral code. This moral code is created by you alone and should guide you through out your life so you do not lose yourself. Many people use religion to create theirs others use societal pressures or just make it up. Whatever it is, do what you can to land that job and do not point fingers at those that do not do so following YOUR OWN moral code!

Dede1: For the sake of your half life, you could have avoided the bolded in your post. I guess O’Cornell could be Scottish or Irish. The people of his\her primordial communities have sought or have intention to seek loyalty toward a nation state which will engender national stability. The French, Italians, Germans, Russians, English and many other European ethnicities sought national stability by finding a common channel of loyalty.

Granted you are a typical Nigerian, I am not surprised you intentionally overlooked a post equated the call for consideration of merit to chest beating. To avoid the evitable bloody war, Nigeria and Nigerians should seriously consider the ways to disengage from the colonial contraption called Nigeria.
You have no proof that Biafra would be a progressive country had Gowon chosen to not quash the rebellion. In fact all hard evidence (leaving the propaganda and hearsay stories aside), point to a paranoid dictator out to achieve his childish aims at any cost including millions of his kinsmen. Equatorial Guinea comes to mind.

Since we do not have Biafra anymore, a smart choice would be to build this country harnessing all its positives rather than seeking to re-establish an old ideology of smash and grab which will not be consistent with any modern progressive country.

The Irish fought for self determination in the early 20th century but in the early 21st century take orders from a central body which the so-called former overlords actually influence. Maybe this call for a new Biafra is caused by a refusal to awaken from a very bad dream OR inability to actually work with and collaborate with neighbours to build a symbiotic relationship.

All posters should read this and move on

'' O'Cornell argues that the lack of constitutionalism and disregard for rule of law fuel psychology of insecurities in all ethnic groups. He fingers as an inevitable cause of our national instability, Nigerians’ “failure to find an identity and loyalty beyond their primordial communities that lead them constantly to choose their fellow workers, political and administrative, from the same community, ignoring considerations of merit.” ''

This is the genesis of corruption, bigotry and the current chaos that plagues Nigeria today. Secession is not the answer!

The agony!

Some people's very existence is tied to a senseless war that over 3 million people died. Mend is threatening the FG and some people who will not rest with this war rhetoric have found a way to bring Biafra into the gist.

Is Mend asking for secession or resource control?

Didn't Ojukwu declare Biafra as a solution to the senseless murder of Igbo soldiers and civilians living in Northern Nigeria?

How is the threat to the FG to declare resource control and the murder of corrupt officals from 1999 to 2013 equate to 'perceived betrayal during civil war' stories. Anyway as they say, losers will always whine and blame everything and everyone but themselves for their inadequacies.

In other news, MEND like all Nigerians are after their own pockets. If they are as serious as they claim, let them get rid of all the corrupt Niger delta leaders from 1999-2013 that have chopped 13% derivation belleful. NONSENSE!

coogar: evans is british.....northern ireland is part of great britain!
thegoodjoehunt is precise with his observation, alex ferguson is going senile and maybe sterile. he has let sentiments destroy his philosophies about young players. piqué was a good example. how can you let pique go and keep evans? how can you let guiseppe rossi go and keep welbeck? then you have eikrem, morrison and pogba......he did nothing to push these lads into the senior team.

people keep saying pogba has egos and morrison is a combustible character - fergie is the culprit! fergie failed to fulfill his promise with pogba and pogba wasn't having any more of fergie's horseshit. ravel morrison has been ready for the senior team in the last 3 yrs and fergie kept playing him in the reserves - it was clear he was better than his peers there and he was not learning anything anymore. push him further and give him a stiff challenge to keep him busy....fergie failed that. morrison got bored - he would come late to training or sometimes skip training and he would still perform better than his hardworking peers on the matchday!
Isn't Northern Ireland just part of the UK which in full means United Kingdom of GREAT BRITAIN & NORTHERN IRELAND? Where Great Britian includes the other three home countries?

Pique went out on loan to Zaragoza and was ready but you have even said on this forum at the time that he had to displace Ferdinand and Vidic which was impossible in 2008. Dude was probably desperate whilst Jonny 'no good' Evans was happy to bide his time.

Rossi left before Welbeck na

He has promoted Federico Macheda in this time of going against Non 'Islanders'. I can't hold brief for Ferguson but I don't think Petrucci would be so amazing and he will leave him out and play Cleverly (seriously) and Anderson whilst forking out ££££ for Kagawa

PoliticsRe: Amanpour Calls Lagos The Third Most Unlivable City In The World by ow11(m): 11:16am On Jan 24, 2013
Lagos is like the proverbial one-eyed king in the land of the blind. That he can see does NOT in anyway imply that he has 20-20 vision. In other words, Lagos is a one-eyed king and that eye is glaucoma infested. This means that the other Nigerian cities can't even begin to compete with Lagos.

For Lagos Lovers, A liveable city should NOT be one

a. Without electricity

b. Without Water supply

c. Poor Sanitation

d. Horrendous transportation services and links

e. Monster traffic. I am not sure a 12km commute in 3 hours is an ideal place to live. The average walking speed of a human is 3.5km/h and leisure bike riding is 12km/h.(do the maths)

Deal with it, Nigeria's business hub is a very uncomfortable place to live in BUT it wouldn't be like this forever.
SportsRe: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ow11(m): 1:15pm On Jan 23, 2013
Evans is neither English nor British and Welbeck is black! Morrison is English so what gives? undecided Ferguson himself is Scottish.

Btw, Isn't Ferguson privy to those signed into the Academy.
SportsRe: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ow11(m): 1:06pm On Jan 23, 2013
coogar: petrucci is better than scholes was at age 21 but alex ferguson has lost his senses lately. he doesn't give the youth players a chance anymore like he did in the mid-90s. i mean, he let paul pogba and ravel morrison(2 brightest young talents) in the premier league leave.....pogba is doing wonders for juventus now and i am very sure petrucci is equally talented if not more talented than pogba. until scholes/giggs call it a day, fergie will not promote the precocious talents in the united academy!
He has promoted Welbeck, Foster and Evans na. Pogba I think was an ego-tripping excercise for the old man (with his agent) and Morrison isn't exactly lighting up England at the moment.

I think Petrucci is having Nani problems. Great natural ability but unable to transform that to consistent match winning performances like Ronaldo, Messi etc.

honeric01: He got injured in training.
I mean Kalu Uche not Uche Kalu. Ikechukwu's elder brother. Uche Kalu played for Enyimba until recently.

For me, He has inadvertently showed Nigerians the large scale corruption that goes on at FG levels. That to me is the only positive from his government.

Negatives

1. Bad PR

2. Failing to deal with Boko Haram

3. Nothing new with his government. No new policy (new driver's license, passport etc doesn't count). He should do something about Tax reforms, Land Use Act, PIB and bring a solution to the teeming unemployed youths. No! SURE-P and YOUWIN are not ideas. . .There is oil money, get the lobbyists off Aso Rock and into massive construction works.

4. Failure to address the failings of the downstream oil sector

5. High Government spending
SportsRe: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ow11(m): 12:49pm On Jan 23, 2013
He was NOT dressed for the game meaning in simple terms that he has regressed from bench duties to watching his team play from the stands.

Now you say it has to do with positions. A coach will pick a player he thinks can win. If four coaches think a player is not good enough then he isn't. I pray the day Taarabt will be sort after by the best clubs in Europe. Football goes beyond juggling abilities after you graduate from the youth team!

If Petrucci is any good, Scholes wouldn't be cajoled out of retirement. Scholes himself replaced a midfield icon in Paul Ince when he was Petrucci's age.

The only player I wish Keshi took was Kalu Uche. One of these days, a new AM (Rabiu is not He) will come to save our midfield till then we have to work with formations that don't require the full complements of an AM.
SportsRe: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ow11(m): 12:12pm On Jan 23, 2013
You never give up. Now it is his holy number '10' position. If No coach in the world can find a suitable position for the STAR, Then he should go to the circus where he can entertain you with his juggling abilities.

The ability to sell a dummy to tactically naive 16 year olds IS NOT the same as playing attacking midfield against MEN!

Maybe you should go and watch Kwadwo Asamoah and Kevin Prince-Boateng and come back and tell me how attacking midfielders still get to play.

- Joel Obi is injured!

- Obiora played in the Champions league and Serie A. Which games has Rabiu played? The talented superstar with heavenly abilities no coach can use has played THREE (3) first team games in two years and that is the player you want to start at the AFCON and go up against Bakary Kone, Alain Traore and Jonathan Pitriopa? At one point, uber talented Rabiu was sent to the Portuguese 2nd Division and the dude still couldnt get his old a** off the bench!

- He went to Kilmarnock to get game time. Yet, Kilmarnock lost a game three days ago with the greatest midfielder Nigeria has produced since 1994 missing from even the bench!

- Lastly, Rabiu Ibrahim dribbled 16 year olds in 2007. That is 6 years ago! in that time, Victor Moses, Danny Welbeck and Yousef Msakni (all played at that tournament) have gone on to play matches against men. He is still waiting for a free SE pass to earn a living.
SportsRe: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ow11(m): 11:10am On Jan 23, 2013
thegoodjoehunt:

I'll say it again, Obiora is very slow, he also came in against Cape Verde. I hope Coach Keshi leaves that boy out.

Also, Mikel is not good at tackling, that is bot part of the game, if Ogude goes forward, who shields our defenders.

[b]By the way, Siasia dropped Ibrahim Rabiu, one of the stars expected for U20 World Cup[\b] for Obiora Nwankwo and it cost us in that tourney.

Obiora Nwankwo is warming the bench at the Serie B. How did Coach Keshi find himV It is clear that there is someone big paying money and pulling strings to get that boy playing time.

Mark my words, if Coach Keshi starts that boy in any of this group stage matches, it will cost us the game.
Why is this STAR still warming the benches from Sporting Lisbon to PSV to Celtic and NOW KILMARNOCK! He is still NOT good enough to start for Kilmarnock! YET someone on NL believes this overaged short man that can't get a starting shirt in bloody Kilmarnock is BETTER than Igiebor and even Obiora Nwankwohuh
