Obiwannn:MTN hasn't been cooperating with me since yesterday. Hence why I haven't replied your message on facebook. Congrats to you. I believe in a few years time. ALL of us here will come back to share a testimony of our exploits in Deutschland, the Lord that started this journey with us all is faithful and just to bring us to a much desirable destination. Joshua 1:8 it'll all end in praise. I pray also for everyone that non of us will regret ever embarking on this life changing journey. In Jesus name 5 Likes |

Galads:Its not impossible but risky. This same question was raised when the representatives came to Goethe Institute. The response was that; Though the embassy would accept it but the issue is with the Foreign office in Germany, there's alot of confirmation they need to do and all that and at the end of the day they may decide they are not accepting such, therefore rejecting the application at a time when it becomes really late for that semester. 1 Like |

Eke40seven:As at today the official conversion of $641 is #127,599 not including other conversion charges just to chip something in case the dude wants to take this route, a date just before 30th on Turkish Airlines to the same destination via wakanow cost 124,200; I don't know why I'm advocating for this ppl self. Lol But I tot it may be helpful anyway. Cheers 2 Likes |

Obiwannn:Obiwannn want finish me o, if I take one orijin self naso my eye go do me like say I don take 1 crate. 10ke, lol. well b4 I booked using wakanow, I checked NL wella including German thread to be sure there isn't any effect whatsoever, infact, I was so impressed. I remember seeing a post from Nevilbot going to Frankfurt and he booked tru dem, he said no issue at all. Type wakanow on the search space on NL and see what you find. Infact they were calling me like every minute to confirm my booking. I also went to Turkish Airlines Web and I confirmed the booking. So I don't think there's any effect. Finally if u want book, just go to their site, wakanow.com, follow the steps and choose to pay via bank account, you'll see their accounts their. After u pay, call their customer service, they'll confirm you. 1 Like |

missZ1:Thats the truth, EU have standards and for any flight to go to any EU soil it must meet these standards. Take for instance Indonesian airline is on a banned list. So anyone saying RAM is a Molue is talking fallacy 2 Likes |

Obiwannn:I actually wanted to use RAM but they don't allow more than 23kg for economy class but Turkish Airlines allow two 23kg for same class, I think you should confirm that as well cos it's important o. Of what use is it carrying just a few cloths and food at end of the day. Turkish Airlines, I have to pay in dollars, infact the rate I used to compare the price was the official rate, yet wakanow was cheaper. U can do the search yourself and tell us what u come up with. I paid a total of #124,200 to their GT account yl the official rate on Turkish site was about #128,000 or so. Now imagine paying tru my master card and they charge me like 235# to a $, isn't that long thing 2 Likes |

dcitizen:As long as you are booking for a student visa, no one would attend to you at the embassy to book for a date. It's stated on their site that this kind of visa MUST be via email 1 Like |

daimlerbenz:That may not be entirely true to the best of my knowledge. Comparing the price for the date I chose on Turkish Airlines and on Wakanow.com, there was about 5k difference, thereby making wakanow cheaper. So I don't know how you got that your trick |
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Oye50(m): 8:55am On Aug 22, 2015 |
ogagaejay:why didn't you use wakanow.com, they offer you the chance to pay in Naira. I paid directly to their account and I've been confirmed already on Turkish Airlines. I think others should try booking tru this medium |

Obiwannn:I'm happy to hear that boss but what I see to this thing is the law of demand. I think the heavy demand of euro at this point is gradually leading to its scarcity hence the higher price. To ppl that haven't done the funding, don't be surprise that other banks won't offer (rates) any better |

think about this. Do you think everyone from Nigeria going to Germany can afford another 8k euro when most of us struggled to even get that one in the first place. Don't let anyone deceive you jare 1 Like |

bosakelvin:it depends on whr you are going to but basically I don't think you have to show another 8k in your account to renew. I once said this here that I spoke with a student in Stuttgart whr I'm headed and she said you only need about 2k to renew |

kingsleymike:That amount is outrageous. I'm sure they'll tell you about how difficult it is getting funds from the interbank. Making calculations, we're looking at 1.9M or thereabout. You need to go and complain abeg. That's way too much but if they've initiated the transfer, I'm afraid there's nothing they can do about it |

crowns2:one thing I understand from the availability of fund is that they get it almost every other week. That's why most transactions rarely go beyond a week (all things been equal). If you're able to convince them well with whatever document you have. If not this week. By Monday or Tuesday, you'll be debited and in less than 24hrs you'll get the DB response. I think you should follow XpensiveT advice by going to the head office as soon as you can. Demand to see the boss. Explain to him the best way you can, also take along that document you said it's in pdf along. By God's grace, you'll get a favorable response 3 Likes |

crowns2:Yes Crown, I showed a document that indicated that I need to pay about 8k euro into a blocked account and the document was directly from the school. Go to the school's site and you'll see a place talking about visa requirements and all. I'm sure you'll get something there. Print it and add it to your documents. |

Guys I think this news published by Punch concerns us here, hence I decided to share it The Central Bank of Nigeria on Sunday directed all authorised dealers in the foreign exchange to give priority to customers seeking foreign currency for the payment of school fees, students maintenance allowances as well as other business and personal allowances for overseas travels. The apex bank said this in a statement by the Director, Corporate Communications Department, Alh Muazu Ibrahim. The bank, in the statement, assured forex users that it would continue to meet their demands so long such demands were for legitimate purposes. The statement reads in part, “The CBN wishes to inform the general public that all legitimate requests for foreign currency for eligible transactions such as remittances for school fees, student maintenance allowances, Basic Travel Allowance, medical and other eligible transactions shall be fully met at the official/interbank exchange rate. “Already, all the legitimate demand for such transactions through recognized channels have so far been fully met by the CBN. “The CBN hereby directs all authorised dealers in foreign exchange in Nigeria to henceforth treat as top priority all legitimate demand for foreign exchange for eligible transactions.” The bank advised individuals that wished to source foreign currency for such eligible transactions to approach their banks with their legitimate demands as the apex bank had made adequate provisions for all such purposes. The statement said holders of Naira denominated debit and credit cards would continue to have access to the use of their cards at Automated Teller Machines in any part of the world. This, it however, added, would be subject to the annual limit of $50,000, noting that ATM withdrawals would continue to be at a maximum of $300 per day http://www.punchng.com/news/forex-cbn-directs-banks-to-prioritise-school-fees-others/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter |

crowns2:Thank God you finally did it. Adeola told me once they sort out with FX they'll get it done and it's within a week or so. So just relax and you'll be alerted soon. Every other person going to Fidelity Bank, if you can't get to the headquarters, just tell them to call Adeola as Crown did, it'll save u some stress |

sonyville:Seriously, the best place to get your answer is through that same 'confusing DAAD website', everything you need to do to get a school offering your course is there on the site. Just streamline your search well and you'll be amaze. I'm not sure if you can get schools for the winter semester anymore and also not too many English courses are offered in the summer semester. I think you should settle down now and make a thorough search using DAAD and Google. Then confirm the application processes and deadlines. This whole process didn't start over night for most of us here. And try read through the pages of this thread as much as you can. I'm sure you'll smile at the end of the day. Bless you 1 Like |

crowns2:As at today it was 220, they usually add 2 naira to the CBN rate but this night it went down to 216, the CBN rate I mean, so logically their rate shld be 218 now. It's always updated on their website and in every branch u go. After the calculations, their charges is around 14k. I went to their headquarters at Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos 2 Likes |

Fidelity bank is getting more and more familiar with our process. I got there this afternoon to process the form A. I was directed to Adeola at the intl office (she's in charge). She didn't allow me to explain b4 she said 'yeah I know, 8040 euros for blocked account and all'.I submitted every doc needed and she told me they ll alert me once they sort with FX. Guys if u are still doubting, fidelity process the form for blocked acct 2 Likes 1 Share |
