It is only those that have never had any encounter with the Nigeria police that will argue that they are not corrupt. Corruption is the air breath immediately they put on that uniform. There are a very minute number of good ones though.

Let's assume all that is 1 trillion per annum.

Add the 1 trillion to the 900 billion we already have. We have 1.9 trillion. That still doesn't come close to 3.5 trillion Naira for just one year grin grin grin
noooooooo!!! Not per annum! That is monthly! Convert it to dollars and u will realise that I am right. If only 1trillion naira is stolen annually by Nigerian politicians, the people wont complain or cry at all. They will even organise thanksgiving service!

Those countries's currencies can give other currencies in the world a run for their money.

You wonder why those oil companies pay as high as 300k at entry level? They don't earn in Naira. Those guys are virtually working abroad, just that they're based in Nigeria. grin grin
Nigerian workers don't want dollar. Pay them in NAIRA grin

Okay, let's us collect that 120 billion from them and add it to the 780 billion Naira FG annual wage bill. We have 900 billion Naira.

Does that come close to funding the 3.5 trillion Naira annual wage bill that an annual salary of 100k will require?

Hehehehe grin grin grin grin Double that 900 billion (1.8 trillion Naira) and you will still be far from it. grin grin
hahaha. That is only from the NASS. What about the presidency, ministries, agencies, governors? Especially the one being used by Rochas Okorocha to build statue for jacob zuma? What about the one being used to finance the uncountable traditional rulers and the religious leaders? grin

I hope you know that dollars belongs to the nation that you are referring to? Lol grin grin

I guess you want Nigeria to be the next Venezuela? Nigeria has no "real" income apart from oil, just like Venezuela. The problem with Venezuela was that they were living like US when they weren't even earning close to what US earns.

I hope you also know that private firms will come under pressure? Businesses will fold up because they can't afford the wages OR they will hike their prices to be able to afford it.

Can you see a pattern of problems now? These things WILL happen! It's guaranteed, not under probability.
just that our currency is almost valueless. If my one naira yesterday can afford goods of 50 naira today,I will be satisfied with my one naira. Even if they increase it to N100,000,the money still can't afford much!!! That is why Nigerians are clamouring for more money instead of clamouring for increase in the real value of the naira! Imagine $1=N365!!! Having just 2 bills of $100 is N36,500!

How many senators are we really talking about bro? The number of senators is insignificant compared to the number of workers under FG pay roll who ain't even into politics.
our senators and reps budget over N120billion on themselves and aids every year! They are less than 1% of total population. We can acheive it if we effectively block our losses to politicians and their aids.

I've updated the comment you quoted.

The senators you are talking about, how many are they? The worker we're talking about, how many are they?

You are practically comparing a grain of black rice to the multitude of grains of white rice in a sack of rice.

If a cleaner earns 100k per month, then a doctor earning 180k must earn at least 500k per month. The person earning 200k must earn at least 600k per month. I'm just being lenient with figures because by the time you see the real calculations by percentage, you go kuku faint! grin grin grin
according to my analysis, N500 at N360/ is equivalent to $1.4 an hour. Supposes a person works 10hours a day, this is only equal to $14 a day! This isn't too much considering the enormous resources we have as long as we ensure maximum and efficient utilisation of our resources. My guy works at $10/hour as a security in the us. Another of my person works $40/h as a nurse. Things will sort out itself with time in other sectors.

They will pluck the money from the tree to pay them, ba?

See how easy it is for you to say "minimum of N100,000". angry Take your calculator and do simple mathematics before talking outside of reality.

You think you can jack up that cleaner's wages to 100k without jacking up the Doctor's own by the same or almost the same percentage? undecided
what is N100,000,a worker's salary, compared to an average senator's monthly salary of N29,000,000? If it is possible for the politicians, how about the workers?

over one million naira is budgetted for newspapers for an average senator in Nigeria. What newspapers are they reading? Is the money for those newspapers plucked from trees? Do u know how much they budget as ''hazard allowance''? Which hazard? If the politicians are having finances for their extravagant lifestyles doing nothing, how about the workers? At the rate I mentioned above, the annual average income will be N1.2million which is a senator's newspaper allowance. This is roughly $3,334 a year!!!

AnonyNymous:
Thatsvseeiously how it ought to be, but you know how people in Nigeria are:

1) Employees will start wasting time to do jobs they could have finished much quicker. Just because they want to drag the time spent for a while longer and earn more pay. Unless there's a specific 'milestone' of work expected to be completed in an hour, I'm not sure that'll work.

2) Its an avenue for employers to cheat employees too. By claiming they haven't done as much time as they claim they have. Its hard to investigate when an employer makes such claim and thus they'll be making more profit without having to pay out all of what they really should.
it depends on both the empoyee and the employer agreement. If an employer wants an employee to work for 3 hours, then the employer must be ready to pay for 3 hours. If the employer realises that the employee isnt working the rightful amount of work, the employer can easily cancel the remaining work and pay for the hours already done. This method is aslo flexible for the employee. He can decide to work 4hours for Mr A and 5 hours for Mr B.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Labour Rejects N30,000 Minimum Wage Offer By House Of Representatives by oz4real83(m): 10:32am On Oct 15, 2017
I will prefer making it a minimum of N500/hour for unskilled and semi-skilled. That will motivate workers to be more productive. Suppose a worker works 10hours a day,it will be equivalent to N5,000 while for 20 days will be a minimum of N100,000. At an exchange rate of N360/dollar,this N100,000 is roughly $278 which isnt too much. Any worker that offers zero hour of work will get zero income. If u go on strike for no justifiable reasons,u also get zero income. Hourly payment is a better option.
CareerRe: See Complete List Of Nigerian Army Rank And Salary, You Will Be Shocked by oz4real83(m): 5:25am On Oct 15, 2017
Don't be deceived. U can't find a military officer from the position of a colonel upwards that isn't either a multi millionaire or a billionaire. They don't even bother about their salaries. The higher they are in rank, the richer and more corrupt they are. Taking salaries into consideration,NO NIGERIAN PAST MILITARY LEADERS could have become multi millionaires, billionaires or even have universities. Most of them are richer than Dangote but they won't agree to this fact because their salaries all through their military carreer don't tally with their wealth.
Am trying to understand you do you mean like your laptop that is connected to solar or are you talking about our solar unit.

If it is our unit you mean let me give you the basics

TheBMSups at lest 8yrs
The Battery at least 4.5yrs
The SolarPanel at least 20yrs

If you calculate this against Generator you get 1kw Gen N40K
Fuel for 4yrs at a rate of N130/litre x 10litres/day -N1300 X 365 X 4Yrs = N1.9m meanwhile you spent N90k on this with no noise and no pollution.

If you mean how long your laptop will last when it is connected to Solar well as i said your laptop does not know if it is solar or not because the BMSups does the job of maintaining the perfect current and voltage much better just like stabilizer compared to if you are connected to Gen especially that dangerous i better pass your neigbour thing. infact the bmsups was built for this compared to those inverters that are not pure sinewave i dont want to get technical. so thanks.
u have already answered some part of the question. A generating set can last for many years. I just wanted to know how many years it will last compared to a generating set.

The gadgets will last as long as they last when using NEPA. the reason is that the charging of the BMS by SOLAR is far more guaranteed compared to NEPA or GEN. thanks for asking any issue with the system the BMSUPS will automatically shotoff. So no stress..
what I mean is that how many years on the minimum will it last? Is it up to 5 years?

the place that needs rebuilding most is Niger-delta. Niger-delta has suffered neglect since 1956 when oil was discovered in bayelsa. The president of world bank won't benefit anything by lying against our president. It is better not to react to the world bank president's statement than to make statement that insults our intelligence. Jonathan's focus was on the north all through his tenure. Pmb's focus is also on the north. We dont need a sooth sayer to tell us the already obvious!!!

In as much as quality or standard of education shouldn't be ignored for any reasons,it is obvious that the number of higher institutions we have in Nigeria isn't enough to cater for such a huge youths population. For those shouting that there are too much higher institutions in Nigeria, just do a research on the number of higher institutions in US,Uk,China,India,Egypt and many other countries and u will be surprised!

Something I love so much about these people is that despite these huge carnage and losses, just give them a few years and the city will be back again to normal as if nothing happened. Only pics and videos will show that something bad once happened there. Good leadership structures, good followership and good institutions are three factors never to be ignored in building a nation.
