This was why food used to be very surplus in the past. Everybody was first of all a farmer,then a civil servant or private worker. Almost all the food were gotten from personal farms unlike now when only very few persons are into farming. Nobody was 100% either a civil servant or private worker. We don't need to wonder why food stuffs are so expensive nowadays. We must go back to the basis to get this anomaly corrected.

It's totally up to the English FA to give exclusive broadcast rights to any successful bidder. Right now, Supersuper Sports has exclusive right to air EPL in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, which includes Nigeria.

Cable providers such as ABG and CTL/Trendtv are tapping bein Sports from another satellite provider, and MultiChoice hasn't tackled them simply because they aren't a threat yet. That is why CTL/Trendtv has refused to expand to a larger market such as Lagos.

suppose after getting the broadcast from maybe EPL,they are barred from broadcasting it in Nigeria by NBC,what will they do? Will they by-pass NBC to broadcast it? Whatever rights they get from anywhere,NBC is the ultimate decider whether they get to exercise it in Nigeria. They can as well decide against any company monopolising any rights. It is only a matter of legislation.

I remember an incident during my university school days. I visited a friend who was celebrating ''room week'' with his room mates. There was a gallon of fresh palm in their midst and hot pepper soup. I blame NCC!!! I have always wondered about the rationale behind granting the sole broadcast right of any tv content to one company. This was what killed hitv. Can't NCC make it open to every company thereby eliminating monopoly? Dstv has bought almost every right to all the good stations leaving other companies with nothing. Is it crime if all companies have individual rights to broadcast EPL,Laliga,champions league,other sports and same programmes at the same time? Let them only compete with broadcast quality,service quality,affordability. NCC needs to wake up!!!

u are wrong. US has over 50 political parties. They popular have ones and unpopular ones. They are very discriminatory during election debates. They organise separate debates for the popular and unpopular parties. I watched both debates during their last elections.

As a teacher you won't use note when u know what u are teaching. Most teachers in Nigeria can't teach without notes and that is why education is at the lowest in this country!

I thought I was the only person having this feeling. All the notes I gave my students during my PPA came from my head!!! I taught SS2 and SS3. I can't teach the same topic twice and give the same note but the idea will be the same!. I wonder why a teacher who has taught the same subject for the past 15years will be using the same notes! This is very common in most Nigerian schools. I am not against having a lesson plan but it should have a creative face.Education needs to be overhauled in this country. Most teachers we have were not able to make the cut-off marks during jamb. Let our best students be deployed to the education sector. Govt should make teaching attractive like multi-national companies.

Immediately accidents happen,these transport companies rush to the scene to wipe off the name of their companies from the buses involved in the accident just to protect their name! We have so many issues plaguing this country from all sectors and income generated cannot sustain or solve these issues. What kind of sacrifices do you want from government exactly? We have to come to terms with reality, the money generated by the educational system can't solve half the issues plaguing our universities alone not to talk of secondary and primary. Our universities need to start generating reasonable amount to contribute to the our national revenue. Until we pass through this fire before we can finally relax if not we'll just be beating around the bush

the problem is that money is being wasted on irrelevant things while critical sectors like education,power and infrastructure are underfunded! Do u know how much Nass members are receiving a month for doing almost nothing? What is Nigeria doing with a bi-carmeral legislature when there is little resources? Do u know how much is budgetted as security votes by our leaders? Do u know how much Niger-delta miitants are paid every month just to maintain peace? Niger-delta militants are even being paid more than NYSC members! There are many wastages in every facet of this country.

Free education n free 3 meals is what destroyed out education system in the first place. U don't expect over 150 million people to go to skol for free, it's a very idiotic idea.

Go and check the top 10, top 100 n top 200 universities in the world n show me which one offers free education for all.



In India tuition for cheap universities is around 200 USD per month so don't wander why India rose to great heights in recent memory.

I understand your point. But u must know this- the citizens keep making sacrifices in order to get a better country but what sacrifices are our leaders making? I pay for security in my area,I pay for fuel to power my generator,I use water from my borehole,I pay high transport fares to and from work? What is govt doing for us? In those countries u are talking about,govts give education loans. Obama was still paying his even while in govt. Are there govt-backed education loans in Nigeria? Is there any employment plans for graduates if students are to borrow education loans from private sources? Govt and citizens MUST WORK TOGETHER to get a better nation. Both MUST make sacrifices and not just the people only.

It is true though is sad but the same thing also happens in many civilised countries. They will rather take care of a sick and homeless animal than a sick and homeless man! They value animals than humans in most of these countries.
