The governors withdrew because their case have no grounds. The case was supposed to have been filed by political parties, not states, because states are not party to the elections and are not contestants. The states that instituted the case are "meddlesome-interlopers", that is what the court would have told them.

It can only “interpret” what’s already in the Constitution…
And even that interpretation can be later overturned by the Supreme Court.

Very funny post, the same president that didn't fight corruption for almost eight years wants to suddenly start fighting corruption with the new naira policy less than 4 months to go . Even the corrupt individuals that were convicted or prosecuted by previous adminstrations were released by this govt and granted presidential pardon . This same govt watched while politicians killed the value of the naira during party primary elections by mopping up the foreign currencies available in the economy to buy delegates . I get angry when people claim that the new currency is to avoid vote buying and fight corruption

the president was supposed to fight corruption to avoid such scenarios, instead, corruption became worse. We won't have been discussing the issue of people "shopping for court orders" if the president had fought corruption, this president even released the convicted criminals that were convicted by previous administrations. The president is not in a position to condemn corruption, he is part and parcel of corruption.

Because we live in a country where the institutions are weak, many people don't know the seriousness of the offence of "CONTEMPT OF COURT" . Disobeying a lower court is a serious offence, disobeying the supreme Court is unthinkable. Whatever ruling the supreme Court gives becomes part of the Constitution . The president, CBN governor and the AGF are supposed to be in jail .

Believe me Israel is more dangerous than Iran. If given chance, Israel would have nuked Palestine and Iran out of existence. Israel has crazy ideology with its blood thirsty leaders that believe killing is the solution to everything. What makes Iran unpredictable? Yes they are arch-enemies because of the palestine. They are not going to jeopardize their existence by nuking israel because of Palestine. Nukes are for power and serve as deterrent to invasion. Israel have nukes, but they haven't done what you said they would have done. If Iran was to be in Israel's status, they would have used the nukes long ago. Israel has hatred for Palestine and Iran, but they have never used nukes on them despite the hatred.

unlike Israel, Iran is not a country that will have nuclear weapons and won't wanna use them. Even for irrelevant reasons, Iran will want to use nuclear weapons. If it was Iran fighting Ukraine as Russia is doing now, they would have started using nukes long ago. Iran is very uncontrollable, very predictable and unstable.

that is why Israel will never want Iran to attain that status, being the only nuclear power in the middle East is manageable, if Iran attains that status, other middle East countries will also want it and that will lead to another arm race. Israel is not the only enemy Iran has in the middle East, Saudi Arabia and UAE are also part of Iran's enemies. Saudi arabian leader once made a statement that if Iran is allowed to get nuclear weapons, they themselves will also get nuclear weapons whether the whole world likes it or not. Iran is power drunk unlike isreal that knows how to restrict the use of such weapons.

Despite sanctions they have invested in where they have strength. Various types of ballistic missiles that can blowup major Israeli cities to smithereens. Don't forget Israel is a small country. Iran also had the Israeli demona nuclear facility within range. Iran displayed its basic entry level drones through Russia recently, they have more advanced ones.
Should Israel bomb Iran, they do not have the capacity to inflict enough damage due to range and the fact that Iranian facilities are buried in mountains. Bunker busting weapons are questionable. Bomb Iran and they will have the moral impetus to go full blown nuclear. Besides what if they load chemical weapons on missiles and unleash them on tel Aviv in response to Israel using nukes?

I am a bit skeptical about this post. Israel won't fold hands and watch Iran advanced to such extent, same with Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
