Q.E.D
Tvegas:

I have never experienced most of the negative things you stated in your write up even while i lived in Okokomaiko. This country you so detest has been good to me. I guess you are outside Nigeria with the way you alluded to "haunted mansion". The way some of you talk about the lifestyle of Nigerians living in Nigeria amazes me. Nigeria has its realities but you have to learn to adapt here to be successful.

For starters Electricity has improved greatly over the past 2 years in my area, these days i only switch on the Gen to warm it. There is solar as an alternative. Security is also top notch in my estate, i know the weakness of my country so i dont waka anyhow at odd hours and in odd places.

Last week an indian wrote my firm to rent one of our new housing development on 5 years lease. Rent of 4mil per annum. Thesame country where everyone talks down on ,its where an indian wants to lockdown accomodation for 5 years. Before the lockdown i helped some chinese filled their landing card inside emirates airline, That would be their first time in Nigeria. Many of them are trooping to this country yet many of you are running away. Its a known fact that Nigerians are some of the most unpatriotic people in the world. I respect peoples decision to relocate if they wish to but there is no point rubbishing your country as if there are no success stories there. Come and see what Most Nigerians say about Nigeria to claim assylum in Canada, you will weep for this country. The whites will never respect you.

I started business right from campus,i have never worked for any company. I manage a thriving property company right now and my networth is enough to retire if i wish . No side hussle, no shady dealing. On campus it was all about my ICAN exams, fellowship and classes there was no time for frivolities. I got it right early in life and i wasnt from a rich background, thats a Nigerian story you will not talk about and the CNN will not talk about.

Like a member said here most of the statistics being quoted about Nigeria is related to the north. And i pray one day this entity will split so that those regions that want to develop will develop.

Nigeria is not hell like a lot of you paint it and the western world is not heaven infact the best you will ever be is a second class citizen behind the whites. Recent attitude from racists like Trump should have shown you that there is no other alternative than to make your country work. We just need some little tweaking to get this country roaring, few things needs to be fixed and i believe hope is not lost. My brother who has lived 25 years outside Nigeria is taking up assets here and planning to relocate here pretty soon. Stop putting everybody together, when you are determined to make it you will make it. Irrespective of location.

1) These are affordable and cheap universities in Canada:
1.Brandon University

3.Dominican University College
4.Memorial University of Newfoundland
5.Simon Fraser University
6.University of Prince Edward Island
7.University of Winnipeg
8.University of New Brunswick

10.Southern Alberta Institute of Technology
11.University of Saskatchewan

2) u will need to visit the schs. website to know their application fees and tuition fees

3) Well.. It depends but advisably , ur Sponsor should have more money to sponsor u

4)Nobody can assure u of ur chance of securing a visa . But if u ask questions, and craft ur application well, u stand a chance of securing a visa..
Just make sure u ask questions in d forum and share ur profile (documents) when u are on the verge if submitting so as it to know if u are good to go

Good luck

N350/$1?
TotoNaRubber:
The decline in oil revenue for Nigeria will last for months to come, other countries badly hit by this fall are Ecuador, Iraq.

Logically, since Nigeria earns less USD since the decline in oil revenue and has high demand of USD from Importers, multinationals, businesses operating in Nigeria, it is only a matter of time before the CBN devalues the Naira.

Someone from my office offered me 500 dollars today at N350/$, deal or no deal guys?

Meaning, they are trying to refinance their debts.
emmanuelewumi:

They are Commercial papers, they pay between 6% to 7%. They are from 90 days to 270 days

I think the CFOs of those businesses are using the commercial papers to liquidate their existing loans which are currently between 15% and 18%.

So that they can directly get cheaper funds from the investing public for the running of the businesses. There is so much liquidity in the system

Norway, is a country
emmanuelewumi:

Coupled with the crude oil price and market share war between Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Nigeria is in big shit because we are not prepared for this.

Norway with a population of less than 6 million people have over $ 1 Trillion dollars in their Sovereign Wealth Fund, got dividends, interests , capital appreciation etc from the fund to the tune of over $100 billion in 2019.

While Nigeria with a population of over 200 million people has less than $2 billion in our Sovereign Wealth Fund.

Russia and Saudi Arabia have between $300 to $500 billion in their reserves to pursue this crude oil price and market share war and to also defend their currency.

Yep! submitted and biometrics done 23rd October 2017 and passport collected with visa 26th October 2017. Did long-term application, submitted with biometrics done at about 5 pm on 23rd April 2019 and passport collected 30th April 2019 with a 10 years validity visa. Gracias
giselle237:
@ozymes pls confirm. U have gotten your passport back in 3 to 4 days? Not the visa decision. I mean passport back in your hands after 3 to 4 days ffg biometrics?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 2:44pm On Mar 09, 2020
I have always gotten even 3-4 days
giselle237:

I am yet to see anyone that got back their passport even within the 5 day priority visa schedule. I mean biometrics, visa decision and email from tls for passport collection within 5 days... i think it’s rare.
If u read this thread, u wud see the complaints. Give two weeks max... and there would be no refund for the keep my passport application u already did because u did keep your passport during this visa application... u didn’t submit it on biometrics day.
Also they said a decision has been made on this application meaning it has been processed... also non refundable...

Your principal amount is also a factor. Just imagine if you were doing 10m at that rate

further, divide 45,000/365days and multiply your answer by 90days
YourNextLevel:
Experts please i need to understand something here

If i have N1m and i wish to do a fixed deposit with a bank and their rate is 4.5% for 90day

Would the calculation be

1,000,000 X 4.5 /100 = N45,000 Profit in 90days

So i take home N1,045,000

OR some other multipled by 12 etc

Which Bank please?
pesty100:
lol. It's the balance in the account before interest was received. Let's say I woke up this morning and found that i received interest of 5000, i see my my balance in the account has increased to 1,005,000; to calculate interest rate i will remove the 5000 interest from the 1,005,000 I will get 1,000,000(principal) after that, I do this 5000(interest) /1,000,000(principal); it gives me 0.005.
0.005 is multiplied by 100 to get interest rate per month which is 0.5%. This 0.5% is then multiplied by 12 to get the interest rate per annum which is 6%.

You saw all these and you still went in for biometrics? what were you expecting?
Relationshipish:
Hey guys.. been a passive reader here.. I have a uncle in the UK that's willing to sponsor me over.. he asked that a scan my passport l, I did and sent to him.

He used an agent for everything and I had no clue at all. Was just sent my appointment booking slip which I used for my biometrics about three weeks ago..

At TLS, This agent denied me access to the documents I'd be taking inside till the very minute I was ready to go in.. was surprised to see almost all documents falsified in my name.. bank statement, school receipt, etc..

my uncle was sponsoring me over as a son, I didn't know this as well. When I saw this on the documents I had some concerns because we do not even bear same surname.. I felt this could be an issue.

Well, I picked up my application response this morning and It was a denial ..on the ground that there's no evidence to show that my sponsor is really my dad..

And ofcos it's stated there that I have no reason to appeal..

Just want to seek advice in what to do from here??

Do 2 years
Darvick:

Calm down a step after the other, there’s a reason they listed 6months 2years 5years 10years. Even though you apply for for 5yrs after your 6months, they can still give you another 6months or 2years trust me they won’t give you 5years. Don’t be a SKIPPO apply for another 6months or 2years
