What do you need the visa for?
Owjs:
Good day @justwise, I need your advise, I intend to apply for 2 years UK Visa, I have travelled once with a six month issued Visa 7 years ago and reapply for 2 years which I only travelled once with it, it's been 5 years now, kindly advise if I can still apply for 2 years, I hope the long gap of 5 years won't have a negative effect if I apply for 2 years or just reapply for 6mnths. I will appreciate ur feedback. Thanks and God bless.

Just be yourself, be truthful, do not show desperation and maintain eye contact as you speak confidently...............your answers should be able to convince you first. Also, read up your submitted form.as a reference point.

My friend wants to do court marriage in Bariga registry in Lagos to use it for her spouse visa application, she has gone to the registry and she was told the certificate is very authentic and can be used internationally. But the problem now is that some of her friends told her that local registry is not acceptable by UK Embassy only federal registry at Ikoyi. Please house how true is this? She is a confused. And beside the money for Ikoyi registry is higher, they were charging 60k while Bariga is charging only 15k. I will appreciate your suggestions please. Thank you.

Is it mandatory to include evidence of flight booking as well?
giselle237:
All various types of the visit visas have been converted to standard visit visa so yes you can apply and state a hotel as your place of address this time. Mind you, you should have a hotel booking confirmed

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by ozymes: 4:45pm On Sep 26, 2019
In my opinion, CBP made the error of stamping the WB/WT which indicates max 90 days.............The is usually for those who carry passports that enjoy visa waiver programs. He has however corrected this by stamping B2 and March 2020 which indicates 180 days instead of the initial wrong date of 22 December 2019 which indicated 90 days admittance for visa waiver programs..
ysteph:
As it is there are two status on the passport, the WB/WT Dec 22, 2019, and the B2 Mar 22 2019.
Seyewest, having given her 6 months stay why the WB/WT? What do you think?
From what i read, it appears she is a permanent resident of a Visa Waiver Country.

Please gurus in the house I'm new on this tread & I need help..

I want to apply for UK visit visa & I resigned from my work a year ago. Though I do other business like bitcoin, I get up to 400k monthly. I'm married with a 3 months old child.

I met an agent & he told me he has an insider in UK embassy and the visa is 100% guaranteed. He asked about my statement and I told him I don't have fat money in my account but I can sponsor my trip to & fro. He said he can provide me with a statement that has good record.

I don't have a landed property, I don't have a salary job but I'm legally married.

I need advise on how to go about applying for a UK visit visa..

Nb: I haven't applied before & my passport is a virgin one...

Gospelozy:
Greetings my people. Please I am new in this trend and need some questions to be answered.

I received an invitation letter to attend an educational conference in November.
1. What type of visa should I apply for?
2. What documents should I go to the embassy with?
3. Please I need suggestions on cheapest flight and lodging in the USA.
4. What questions should I expect from the VO.
Thank you as you put me through.

So, why is she not using your surname?
tshoboy:
My people,

I had Nikkah wedding with my wife last year and we decided not to change names.

She did her international passport recently as a married person using her Surname.

We also have a daughter now.

Now, we want to do a marriage certificate at the registry and the person said my wife has to use my surname and she using married on her international passport while not legally married could have implications.

I Am confused
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 11:31am On Sep 13, 2019
Gracias. But will about N2Mn budget be enough to make the application fly?
justwise:
1. Requirements are all over this thread..you don't need to read alot to come across many.

2. There is no need for letter of explanation and sponsorship since the whole family are traveling together and the husband's data page and financial documents will be submitted as the sponsor. It will be indicated in the form that the husband will be sponsoring the trip and his source of income will be attached as a supporting evidence.

3. They need to do a budget of the trip..flight, accommodation, feeding and transport within the city so as to have an idea how much it will cost

4. Only them will know that..linked to Q number 3

5. She can add her bank statement and source of income..it will not harm their application..will only strengthen it
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 11:00am On Sep 13, 2019
Good Morning House.

Please, I am here to humbly seek your concise and candid advice on how to proceed on UK Visit applications for a family. Please, find details below:

Number of Persons: Mother who is the principal applicant, 4 Kids(11yrs, 9yrs, 6yrs, less than 2yrs and does not need a UK visa)

Principal's occupation: Federal Civil Servant and to be sponsored by the huby for the family trip/vacation fro 3 weeks and the huby is traveling with them and has a valid uk visa.

Travel history of applicants: All have been to US, and UAE within the last 4 yrs on family vacation.

Quetions:

1.What are the likely required documentations?

2.Any need to letter of explanation and sponsorship?

3.How much should sponsor have in his account to cover this trip?

4.What is the expected gross expenditure?

5. Is the principal applicant still required to fund part of this trip even when the hubby is sponsoring fully/does her financial circumstance pertinent in this application?

Essentially, would a budget of N2M be enough to sponsor this trip as per the applications been approved?

Many Thanks as I await your responses.

Oga. Nor even try am oooooooo. Book hotel on booking.com and state same address on your application for you submit and also include a copy of the hotel booking confirmation page. Nor talk say we nor tell you ooooo
uche13:
Pls This issue of hotel reservation to add as documents for application, is it very necessary?

I have been looking for booking with free cancellation but I have not seen.

This will be my 5th trip to the UK. Under the option of where I will stay during the trip, can I simply add hotel and include the fact that I will book the hotel when my visa is approved.

Company is sponsoring the trip so there is no issue regarding funds.

Thank you

Please, you cannot travel with Child and intend to leave the child there. Why would you want to do that? Please do not even think about it again!
Okororeg:
Thanks alot God bless you. She said her son is travelling with an adult who is not one of his parents.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 1:15pm On Sep 10, 2019
The child traveled with a passport and with visa used abi? and was accompanied by an adult whose information was tied to the child's passport information. Please, do the right thing
Okororeg:
Good morning house. Please, there is an argument between my colleague and I in the office at the moment and I want the house to help us clarify. Is It possible for UKVI not to detect if a 1 year old boy go to the UK on visit and refuse to come back to Nigeria? Bearing in mind that his biometrics will not be captured.
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Canada by ozymes: 8:50am On Sep 07, 2019
Like seriously? Are you from the pre-abolition era? huh huh huh
Bay1989:
I do want to find out too. In Miami I was told giving birth costs at about 10 000 us dollars. and what about Canada? i also know that in US they won't give your kid any citizenship, only when the kid is 18 years old and only after that age he/she can ask for citizenship.

What defines a frequent traveler?
Justblow:
From your answer to question two, I will suggest you apply for 2 years, reason, cause u not a frequent traveler.

Just my own opinion though... Let's hope we get more contributions from the house.

Regards.

I posted this refusal here July 31 and a lot of people suggested a lot, I sent in a complaint with this exact refusal letter the way it is on the screen , to the home office 3am August 1st, cause I couldn't sleep..

More of this I will share, in due course.

You pay your visa and priority fee together as you submit your form online using your ATM card is web-enabled
Cynthia1722:
please help me decide dear gurus, So the uk visa application site you can pay for priority service, decisiom made within 5 working days which costs $400, also in the TLS website priority service costs £220 for decision within 5 working days which is more important or works better as i cant pay for both.
