You're okay as long as tickets are valid[1quote author=Vicas2000 post=84936992]Quick question....does a traveller needs to travel on the exact date that they filled on their application for the visa given and to the same destination?

i.e. Intended travel date filled in application 20th January 2020 to 3rd of March 2020 (flight from Lagos to Birmingham) while the actual travel date for flight ticket is 21st January 2020 to 6th of March 2020 (Lagos to Heathrow).

Reason: Ticket cheaper on those dates by £300 and is direct flight and less stress as traveller is an older person.

I hope this is not any big problem at point of entry. Any comment will be welcome.[/quote]

It will cost her nothing, if she told them that her fiance is waiting to pick her up they will call or go to arrival hall to look for him just to confirm her story.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 5:41pm On Dec 08, 2019
It may cost you a lot if you refused to hold cash and It will not cost you anything if you hold cash. What happens if your fiance was called and his phone did not connect?

Applications are deemed inconclusive until biometrics are done, I believe?
giselle237:
U can’t add it. Documentation sent to them now is only through online upload. I don’t think TLS has access to upload any other documents as long as u have clicked submit. U have submitted online already. How will they upload it to ur profile? Remember the message they wrote that never click submit if you haven’t finished uploading as u cant go back something something.... The documents are now transferred to the ECO via electronic transfer ...

Please house, how long does it take for an application to be received by the VAC after being transferred to them from the embassy. Thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 8:30am On Dec 06, 2019
Those were the Koko documents. You may need to take it along with other already loaded documents for opt for assisted service and be ready to pay 10k for each applicant.....Explain to them at the presubmission desk and you would need to go with an active ATM card of an account that is funded.
NIFES:
Hello house.
Please I just made a very careless mistake in my application now.
I uploaded over 30 different supporting documents but in all of them I forgot to upload my husband's (he is the sponsor and the one inviting me and our daughter) passport data-page/ILR permit. I had already clicked on submit before I remembered that I did not add that to the documents submitted.
Kindly advise what I can do to remedy this mistake please. I feel very bad right now. My biometrics appointment is Tuesday 10th.
Thank you.

Okay Sir
justwise:
Read up about this visa agreement between the UK and Irish govt. Its called Short stay visa waiver programme
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 11:09am On Dec 01, 2019
Justwise.
Are you saying any Nigerian passport holder with the regular UK visit visa can enter the Republic of Ireland on same Visit visa for a short visit?
justwise:
You were holding the wrong visa and as expected they refused you entry.

You need a short stay visa either from the UK or the Irish government
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 9:53pm On Nov 30, 2019
Can you state each of their disposable income?
jesuisroya:
Hi.
Thanks for your reply.
Both of them have a total of 9M in their account.
They plan to come back.

AGAIN we're trying to look for something more concrete.
I just advised my sister to leave the kids out of this first application, let her and her husband apply alone.
What do you think?

Concerning accommodation, is a mixed hostel acceptable for husband and wife?
Hostels are cheaper. But it's shared bathroom and other facilities.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ozymes: 9:20pm On Nov 30, 2019
I don't think you have been going through the posts here. Because if you did, you would have known that evidenced monthly salaries and subsequent disposable monthly income is a key factor. Furthermore, you have N3m in your account and you want a travel budget of N3m to fly? Them nor go chop when dem come back? Abi dem nor want come back ni?
jesuisroya:
Good evening all.
It's me again.
I've been going through the posts and the my question is explaining the funds in one's account.
My Sister and her husband want to build travel history and would like to travel to the UK THIS CHRISTMAS for seven days (DEC 28th to JAN 5).
My sister earns like 4M par annum and has a balance of about N3M in her account
Her husband earns about N120K per month and has a balance of N6M
Actually, some of the deposits in his account are for a friend who's abroad, that gives him some money to keep.

Their budget for the christmas trip is almost N3 million and they're willing to pay.
Flight for 2 kids and 2 adults
Hotel for the four
Feeding, etc.

What do you advice? Do you think they should all go together or only the wife should go first then later they both apply together?
Or in what order do you think they should plan the trip.

PLEASE HELP US cos they've already filled the application.

It appears you did not even read the information on the link you provided.
Broadenyourhori:
So what is the rule?

https://www.immihelp.com/visa-stamp-vs-authorized-stay-duration-in-usa/
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by ozymes: 8:39am On Nov 28, 2019
I thought I was the only one with this knowledge
sugah:
This isn't correct.
A visa validity....when you can present yourself at the border of the country
Length of stay....is solely at the discretion of the CBP officer
I have presented at less than a month to the expiration of my Visa and still got stamped in for 6months..
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by ozymes: 5:19pm On Nov 27, 2019
The rule changed?
Broadenyourhori:
Whatever time he enters US before the expiration of his visa, they will only stamp is passport and write the date he must leave the US - Latest 05/03/2020. Normally, someone will be granted 6 months stay each time they enter the US but if you have less than 6 months, you will be granted till the last day on your visa.

The risk is that, they may want to see your return ticket and get more information about you or your host just in case you decide to MIA.
