lionlee216: The Journey has not been easy but God has been faithful. Enrolled to college(Fall 2019) for an Engineering program. Will do 2years in CC the complete the rest at either UiC or CSU. Time to Intergrate into real American world. No time to check time. Me sef wan work for Boeing if dem pay good money.
In my own opinion, Visa success is more or less a lottery, Nice people with nice profile getting rejected while people with "packages" get approved. I met a guy last month and I was wondering how he got his Visa(Very local), God forgive me but i feel for people burning money just to get this US Visa.
I experienced America when I actually visited Chicago on 4th of July. I was living in a village(City)in Ohio and I can say we are just 10 Nigerians(Africans) there. All we do is go to store(Kroger), come back home. Our highest "Faaji" was Bowl of ice cream, fried Gizzard and Wild Irish Rose. Even the downtown got only 2 high rise building(The courthouse and one other building like that). So me stepping out that greyhound bus that night before 4th of July was crazy. I got into this nice apartment, the streets blasting music etc, went to downtown, I cant just help but stare at all those beautiful magnificent buildings(I walked inside downtown over an hour) just looking and taking pictures. Mehn, I knew i was in real America though 87th and state in south side is like one of this roads in Nigeria where you see people hawking stuffs on the main road.
Daaz001 said Chicago is like Mushin Lagos and Missouri is Paradise . I wasnt surprised coming from someone that relocated from one village to another village(No offense daddy ) but he got to Lake Michigan and took over 1 million pictures .. Story for another day..
Back in Nigeria, I have never had sex with a married woman/A lady with kids because the way society presented a lady with kids as worthless etc. Guys be like "Mehn, I just fcked that girl that has kids so I have always this thought process maybe something is wrong with their pvssy or something, I really dont know but then experience here made me understand they are just as normal as ladies without kids. Nothing wrong with the pvssy . I always be like I cant date or marry a single mother but I understand better they deserved to be loved as others.
If you think you love sex, You will get tired of sex when you get here, The are always in the mood, their "greenlight" is always on . So dont over do it and die for nothing. they see sex as nothing(My friend ran away from his akata girlfriend cos of too much sex) You can still be asking a lady and still be fucking without her saying YES to you but dont get it twisted, dont assume you guys are dating so that you dont get heart broken.
I am yet to see a peugeot car here on the road and when i asked my wife about the car, she said what is Peugeot?
I really dont have Nigerian friends but I met a nairalnader last week Sunday(I know you are seeing this lol).
I really wish to come to Nigeria this december but I am having mixed feelings about it. I can't just help but think I am spending $3000 to $4000 just for 15 days trip($2000+ on airline tickets alone), hotels, sight seeing, food, gift for FnF, etc. but then I miss my family and see whats going on in Nigeria. I want to go to Exhibition(for those that live in Ibadan with understand this) and do some other stuffs but mehn, the money much(I be poor boy).
One spirit dey tell me to just max out my credit card instead of using my Cash(devil is a liar)..
I feel victim of this my "new car" Its a 2AZ-FE engine that Toyota wanted to fix for excessive oil consumption but my warranty has expired . So Toyota said I should bring $3200 for fixing, I laughed! Car that is going to Nigeria next year Jan.Who wan dash toyota $3,200 on a car that drives good. Just that at 2800miles, it will be telling me low oil. I will just be topping up the oil every 1000 miles. Things are just too expensive when it comes to cars, Very expensive to fix.
Chicago boys bad. I have been scammed and robbed but God is still good. Franknetter, I dey find you oo.. One day, I go catch you for Mac shop
Do I have more to share? No
Nice day Bro why didn't you use your bachelors degree from Nigeria to get your masters, or is it better to start again afresh |

LegitBachelor: and @Molybdenum0012, they usually don't recognise our degrees. But I dont recommend starting afresh. You can do a masters or doctoral degree that builds on the degree you have. You'll need to evaluate your degree using WES or ECE. Those organizations help to convert your degree to a US equivalent so that you can use the conversion to either search for a job or do a master's or doctorate degree. |

ifunanyamaka: There are transcripts of people who have gone through this process all over related threads as well as on Visa journey. I shared mine earlier on this thread. Process is less than 2 years if your spouse is a US citizen and more than 2 years if she is a permanent resident. Mind you, less than 2 years actually means within that time frame. my process from the filing of petition to when I got my Visa took about 9 months. Here is a link of shared transcripts under CR1 category.

Drenimarcus: Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 Slightly faster arrival in the US (currently about 5 months sooner) More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 5-6 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 5-6 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. CR-1 Slightly slower arrival in the US (currently about 5 months later) Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. Thanks for this... i appreciate all the selfless people on this forum who have been taking your time to respond to questions... |

Travel › Re: USA Fiancee (K1) Visa Thread by Paccus: 7:15pm On Aug 25, 2019 |
LegitBachelor: @Paccus, according to the rules, a one time meeting within 2 years is enough for K1 Visa and is the basic requirement. However meeting more than once will strengthen your case.
The only advantage K1 Visa has over CR1 Visa is that it's faster. You'll get to be with your woman within a short period of time with K1 Visa. The disadvantage however is that it takes a longer time before you get your greencard with K1 Visa.
You can print out WhatsApp conversations. You can also screenshot your WhatsApp calls and print. Thanks Boss i really appreciate..i think we will be going with k1.. but can i work or study, write licensure exams while waiting for the green card because i can't just stay idle.. |

LegitBachelor: What Angela777 is saying is that one of the requirements to apply for a K1 visa is that you must have met your fiance physically within the last 2 years. Thanks for your reply but please i have some other questions... 1) its one time enough for physical meeting because my fiance is planning to come by December for engagement or marriage before she goes back to USA to file for me. 2)Also we are confused which is better between k1 or CR1, do we have to face more interviews when changing status if we use k1 considering that CR1 gives green card on landing. Which path will you advice us to use, thanks a lot 3) Me and my babe means of communication has been whatsapp..whatsapp call, video call, messages everyday for about a year... we don't send mails to each other or use regular phone calls. We have not seen the need for that but since we are about starting this process i don't know if this whatsapp conversations alone are enough and how do we prove whatsapp call and video call records?? Thanks |

If all the paperwork is real and well done and you have a face to face time with your fiance(e), you will be approved. Family of the US citizen rarely is denied, only if the embassy see lies, fake documents or criminal record. Also from the past year is the rule for medical exam checking for drugs in your blood and they can detect it as far as last 2-3 years use. But even if they find that, they do not deny yet ask you to stay clean from drugs for 1 year (as far I remember) and apply again. please what do you mean by face to face time with your fiance(e)? |

omoluabiguy: Professional certificate is one thing, having the required skills is another thing. It’s literally not about your certificate here, it’s mostly about what skills you are good at e.g data analytics, programming, database and more considering you graduated and get certified by a US accredited university. I am not sure about “working under the table before getting papers”. That’s not an easy process as it sounds. You are talking about years upon years. You can finish university and start working with all those years under the table before getting papers if any.
#omoluabi Please for someone who has bachelor's degree in Nigeria will having a master's degree in US compensate for it in terms of job opportunities or its better to start afresh from undergraduate level at 28 years cc Bossman omoluabi Twoods Blowjobs |

MahatmaGhandi: I just shook my head and said wow, he is playing to the gallery because anything outside the narrative that has been presented on social media would earn him the title of "rape enabler" so he quickly lined up behind the narrative so as not to loose followers. I feel it is bad precedence not because I think Biodun is innocent, but because the narrative has been established and anyone that dares to question the narrative would be shot down like an aircraft in enemy territory. Like I said I will not take any sides until both parties have been thoroughly cross examined in a court of law, If I had the funds I would provide both parties with the best of legal counsels that can be found in Nigeria to ensure that a rapist does not go Scot free and that an innocent man is not sentenced unjustly. I will not be bullied in towing a path that sins against the very essence of my soul because I want to look cool. If Biodun is found guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction, I will be more than happy to see him go to jail, If he is found innocent I will watch to see the reaction of those that have allowed their emotions rule over their sense of reason and justice, especially Poju. But kiddos to Stanley Nwanbia, he has maintained a dignified neutrality that has irritated tyrants and perspective monopolists.
ND don't get me wrong Poju made some excellent points but he allowed himself to sound like the accused is as alleged. This is my issue with his position. BRO, its as if you are reading my Mind... i am very disappointed in Pastor Poju, |

stanliwise: You are missing the point here, the fact that pastor Fatoyinbo is innocent doesn't change the reality that rape allegation like this doesn't exist. You speaking out from one angle doesn't mean you support Busola or fatoyinbo. So because I follow the tag #sayNoToRape means I am against fatoyinbo? ofcourse not!, although it is possible I can, also support #iStandAgainstFalseAccusation does not mean I am saying Busola has falsely accused fatoyinbo or that the rape didn't happen. Truth is no one should call out anyone name when conclusion has not been reached but if anyone does not stand with #sayNoToRape, IMO the person is saying "I don't care if people are raped", same goes for the other too. Goodday. 100% Right... no sides for now, the fight is against rape |
