The int'l conventions has specified rules and regulations governing how to checkmate and deport illegal immigrants and S/A government supposed to have domesticated it.
A situation whereby a sovereign state of S/A tactically backed its citizens to burn down black foreigners properties and unalived them extrajudicially in large numbers on daily basis is best termed xenophobic attack and not deportation.

After Attah an Ibibio man had completed his tenure, it was rightful that Annang man took over.

Christopher Ekpeyong who is also a prominent Annang son and a deputy governor Under Attah ( though he was impeach before the end of his tenure) was contesting under the then AC Party, and Akpabio won the primaries then in PDP through consensus. With the emergence of Godswill Akpabio as the PDP flag bearer the Ibibio people couldn't have no choice than to support him since it was the turn of Annang nationality to present a governor.

4. I have never come across a pages, either in spoken words, in printing media or social media where Godswill Akpabio make demeaning statements against the people of Ibibio and I don't know where they got that nonsense that resulted to this their abracadabra from.

5. It's important to remind that the Udom Emmanuel they seem to love today was made governor by Godswill Akpabio. Mr. Udom Emmanuel was just an ordinary banker and never managed a government portfolio when Godswill Akpabio brought to government and made him the secretary to the state government after sacking obong Umana Okon Umana. Godswill Akpabio later endorsed Udom Emmanuel as a governorship candidate under PDP on the basis that after Annang it was the turn of Eket/Obolo to present a governor in the state. Fought and Udom Emmanuel succeeded him as the governor of the state. It was something Udom Emmanuel have never dreamt of.

6. It's for their interest to know that since Godswill Akpabio joint this nzuzu politics under APC, even we the Annang Nation has never benefitted from Godswill Akpabio, in our community, Ukana where he hail from have never seen tangible development from Godswill Akpabio. No electricity, no good drinking water except individual boreholes within the community, no classroom for pupils of our community, the healthcare centres he built in our communities as the then governor has been left to decay.

But one thing that pain me most is the inferiority of Nigeria clubs at the continental outings.
The 4 teams that will represent us at the continental level will all be eliminated in the preliminary stage of the competitions except maybe Rivers United that will get to the group stage.
The other 3 will be eliminated not by teams from Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania or Congo that has pedigree in the continent but by unknown teams from non-footballing nation like Lesotho,Gambia,Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya, Burundi,Eswatini,etc.
Season before last,I was in Uyo so I do go to Godswill Akpabio Intl'l stadium to watch Enugu Rangers and Rivers United play in their champions league campaign.
In one of the matches I watched Enugu Rangers played with an unknown club from Lesotho in Uyo,I almost cry.
See the level of football! very substandard level of play.The couldn't score those children a single goal and they went out of the competition in preliminary round.
This season too,see the abysmal display of our representatives---Remo Stars,Kwara United, and Abia Warriors.
And again, only Rivers United make it to the group stage this season.

We don't even deserve to finish in that 10th position sef.
Our normal position in the table this season supposed to be around 17th or 16th.
We are the team that played the most awful game this season.
Even Westham played some good football than us.
I pity them going to relegation.

My business associate came to my office and we congratulated him on his wife safe delivery and his new baby girl arrival. But we noticed he wasn't happy and asked what was wrong, first he complained about the hospital and its numerous extortions. It's a federal government hospital and he kept saying if he had known he would have gone to a private hospital instead.

The guy went on complaining and rambling with so much pains in his face. I even tried encouraging him to take the baby to his mother (that is, the baby's grandmother) when she comes of age so the old woman will train her but other guys there said that would be worst because the old woman will spoil and pamper her too much.

It's such a shame that the progress that would have been made was stalled by a name change. Why change the name in the first place? Looking at the other 4 proposed ports you can easily see they are named after the community they're located. But a mischievous person decided to rename the Akwa Ibom port and look at what it has caused.
