is kerosene and soap the same?
It was just an extent of explaining the concept of dissolubility of bitumen when some chemical substances are added to it.
The main example I was setting was the soap and the block wall to prove a point that soap can wear away block, cement or tarred surfaces if they are exposed to it for a long time.

Yes nah, you can survive.$10 per day income?
That is #420,000 per month salary.
Do you know how much a fresh graduate employed in a state civil service as a level 8 officer earns in a month and he is surviving with a wife? It is roughly about 1/4 of your earning.
So you can live comfortably with your wife after all, you didn't mention children yet.
So you can live comfortably at your own level..oo.
When I said comfortably,I don't mean like politicians or Adeleke,Otedola and Dankote.

It maybe good for them but I don't see anything spectacular about washing roads daily with detergents and other chemicals agents.
It doesn't really make sense to me.
To me,it is not a feat we as Nigerians should be clamouring to emulate as some are doing here now with their comments.
1.Do you people ask them the materials they are using to construct their own roads if it's the same with ours?

2.Do you care to find out from our chemical engineers or Civil engineers what would be the effects of applying chemical substances in form of detergent and other cleaning agents on DAILY BASIS over a long period of time on our alphated roads?

because from my knowledge of elementary chemistry,if you put chemical like kerosene in solidified bitumen (coldtar),after some minutes,it will melt it and turn it into liquid form. Also,if you wash clothes with detergent and constantly poured the water on a cement wall or say block fence, the wall will wear away and subsequently falls if the action is continuous.
The two experiments is what I have carried out myself and confirmed to be true.
So,here in Nigeria, about 95% of our roads are tarred with the bitumen. And I think applying soap/detergent/chemical cleaning agents on our roads like what I am seeing in that video will drastically reduce the durability of our roads.

Secondly, what's the population of Kigali as compared to any state capital city in Nigeria?
If it takes let's say 3 hours to wash one major road in Nigeria city, then do you know the hours it will take washing just 5--10 roads?
Then talk about the traffic situation in those hours. If you calculate everything,do you know how many economic productive hours we will lost to the road washing exercise everyday?
Do you know in few months,it can crumble our already shaking economy totally?
So,I don't see any wisdom there.
The best way of cleaning the intra-city roads still remain sweeping it daily as most of the Nigeria cities are doing.
For instance, some years ago, when I was living in Calabar expecially during Governor Donald Duke time.Workers were employed to sweep the major roads on daily basis.
Trees/ornamental flowers were planted everywhere by the road side and well trimmed to promote the aesthetics of the Calabar city.
Who born you to stay in the moving township buses and drop even banana peels on the road that time?
What the taskforce will do to you eh,the next person will see it and put his own peels inside his trouser pocket.
The subsequent governors came and abandoned the clean and green policy of Duke till I left Calabar and the city turned eyesore.
Another good e.g of cleaning a city through sweeping rather than washing is Uyo in AKS.
I have been there during Akpabio,Udom and even this Eno's time. All of them share something in common and that is cleanliness of the city.
They may fail in some other aspect of governance but you see the sanitary aspect, you can't fail.
Through out last year I have been traveling there to watch the super eagle qualifying matches,I can testify that the state is doing well in that aspect.
A special agency known as Aks Waste Management and Environmental Protection Agency was since created to take care of that.
As early as 5am , you will see the workers of that agency sweeping every major roads in that Uyo while others go about with their waste management truck to evacuate every dustbin stationed at some strategic places on the major roads.
And I want to believe that few or some states are doing so too.
In summary, don't abuse Nigeria simply because we are not embarking on road washing like Kigali. We have our own ways of keeping our cities clean also.
It is not everything we see some where we should copy.We can criticize our government for not doing some other basics things like I used to criticize also but it shouldn't be road washing.

Then let him go back to his Turkey nah.
Why is the NFF officials begging him?
Already,he has scattered and polarized the team by that his actions yesterday.
I Know I we may likely not go far again as we should in this tournament bcuz the unity among the players is no longer there again.
But even if that is the sacrifice we need to make to bring sanity to the team, then so be it.
He abandoned the match against Zimbawe in Uyo where I was live in the stadium that day and we ended up drawing that match costing us the chances of qualifying directly to the world cup.
Then came a second chance for us during the play off against DR Congo, again he abandoned the match after first half and we ended up losing the match.
In summation, his untamed attitude has cost us the world cup ticket.
And that same attitude of his is about costing us the AFCON.
So let him go if he wants to go and never come back to S/E squad again till his retirement in football.
What arant non......sense!

This is the easy parts. We're getting into the hard part now that will test our mettle. Its not yet uhuru.

We have not really met a tough team yet. The closest was Tunisia
All the teams we have played so far in this AFCON tournament are more stronger than the ones we played in the world cup qualifiers except S/A and we were still beaten and pushed out of the world cup qualification by lowly ranked team like Lesotho, Zimbawe,Rwanda, etc.
So,in this nation cup,I don't think it's bcuz we haven't met strong team yet,the teams we played so far are rated higher than Lesotho,Rwanda,Benin and Zimbawe.
But just that our team is just waking up now from sleep.
The shame of losing out in the world cup and at the same time knocked out of AFCON in group stage is what is propelling them to the stage they are now in this tournament.
Not bcuz of the quality of the opponent played so far.

Don't we have a psychologist in that our technical bench?
Osimhen should be talked to by him and the coach.
How can he be challenging a fellow teammate like that for not passing all balls to him?
Who is he in that team to caution Lookman like that?
Is he a coach or what?
All these shenanigans can weaken team spirits.

In 2022 when I said it here that Ukraine made a very big mistake by disobeying their big brother, Russia.
And that Russia will invade them and annex more and more territories and nothing will happen.
Some emergency sovereignty proponents were here arguing that Ukraine is a sovereign state.Russia is not right to take military action against them.
Ukraine is a sovereign nation and as such, she can join NATO,EU and what have you without the consent of Russia, bla bla bla.
I told them that there is nothing like sovereignty or independent if you are a less powerful country.
The super powers can whip you very seriously into the line if you dare try to act against their wishes and the world will do nothing.
I draw people's attention to what France,USA and UK did in Iraq and libya and nobody cough till today about that and people think Russia will fold her arms and watch how Ukraine will allow NATO to build military base and nuclear sites there at the door post of Russia.
And some of this same Nairalanders were happy that USA,France and Britain of all nations were dishing out sanctions like beans to Russia for doing what every other world powers including they themselves used to doing.
So now that the USA has done it again, who will sanction them?
And where are the sovereignty theory proponents of Nairaland?

Like I used to say and I am still saying it now,if you know you are a small country -economically,technologically or militarily,do not disobey a big brother nation.Else, you will collect wotowoto and nobody will come to your help.
Having said that,I am still in love with D.J.Trump for coming to Nigeria's aid in dealing with the terrorists up north that doesn't want Christians there and other innocent villagers to breathe.
Putin is not also left out in the love.
He is a very powerful leader,he and Trump trying to make the world a better place for all to live in.

Section 137(1): A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if - (b) he has been elected to such office at any two previous elections.

Section 142(2) states:

"The provisions of this Part of this Chapter relating to qualification for election, tenure of office, disqualification, declaration of assets and liabilities and oaths of President shall apply in relation to the office of Vice-President as if references to President were references to Vice-President."
Your first paragraph talks about the office of the president and not that of Vice President.
That one is a known fact.
But your last paragraph talks about the office of the vice President.
So,I want to ask:
Is the last paragraph your personal explanation/interpretation of the sections 137(1) and 142(2) you cited?

Or is that section explicitly talking about the office of the vice president just as it's talking about the office of the president in a clear and in an unambiquous term ?

If it's your personal interpretation, then I will need to confirm it from another lawyer because I have never heard of the tenure barrier to the office of the vice president and deputy governor.
It's only that of the no- 1 that I always heard of.So lemme consult my lawyer too for confirmation.

Will the Christians in Eruku,Yetwata, etc in northern Nigeria not say today,is that not why we voted against muslim-muslim ticket in 2023?
The reality is here!
If not that foreign powers are now involved in our security situation to protect the northern Christians and other innocent villagers there, what would have happened from government side to the Christian over there?

Also, talking about Obi getting votes based on religious sentiment in the north, why do you think PBAT chose a Moslem VP from the north instead of the traditional norms of choosing Christian VP there if not for gathering northern moslems votes based on religious sentiment too?
