PoliticsRe: Suspected Herdsmen Kill 5 In Enugu, Burn Houses by pacespot(m): 7:41pm On Jun 16, 2022
Igbos should stop beating their chest when Fulani terrorists attack Yoruba or other people, as if your region is impermeable to these violent jihadists. We should all condemn these attacks being carried out against helpless people. Fúlàní attack you mostly in the night when you are unprepared and resting and then disappear to nowhere, only to come back and attack again. You see that these people are very difficult to fight back against. They are often vagabonds, they don't stay in one place and it is easier for them to relocate elsewhere after commiting any atrocity.

Playing to the gallery for the sake of his boisterous and gullible fan club.

You have THEM study Nigeria's problems and proffer solutions, not you going there with your paparazzi in tow to look at a few SCADA monitors and declare yourself on a mission to salvage our complex power situation.

This is a job for engineers, not politicians with business degrees.
Do you know if he went there with a Nigerian engineer who can interprete all the technobabble to him huh
PoliticsRe: Can ‘Obidient’ Nigerians Surprise Tinubu, Atiku In 2023? by pacespot(m): 1:32pm On Jun 16, 2022
LordIsaac:
Endsars...yes, but at what cost? And how much reform came as a result of it besides the change of nomenclature? It is a system. Any President who emerges through the 1999 Constitution would be constrained by it. As I speak to you now, people of questionable character have emerged in the various primaries conducted as gubernatorial, senatorial and representative candidates, amongst others. Peter himself would discover, that Nigeria is a terrible country to govern, when/if he emerges. Even Okonjo Iweala had to flee this system. Dora died for it....yet, we are here. We will vote, yes, but the answer can never be placed on the shoulders of one man!
But Buhari is one man, look at what is happening under his watch. People might say Buhari is not in charge, but he is complicit of the crimes being committed by his kinsmen. Keep the spirit up man, you will need it.

Best!

PoliticsRe: Can ‘Obidient’ Nigerians Surprise Tinubu, Atiku In 2023? by pacespot(m): 12:41pm On Jun 16, 2022
LordIsaac:
People have been voting since 1999, and that will never stop. All I'm saying is, the leaders we've gotten so far, and the one that will emerge in 2023, will still come from the people. And in a democracy, as De Tockqueville posits, the people get the kinds of leaders they deserve, voter apathy or no.
I understand your point, "people are no better than the leaders they produce", it is an age old slogan which has proven to be true most of the time. But you also need to understand that Nigeria is a country infused with people of many different ideologies, the turnout to the events like EndSARS should have proven this to you. That is on a side note anyway. But things are changing rapidly in the world right now, the last time we experienced this kind of revolutionary changes was after the WW1. The events going on in the present world will either produce a winner or a loser in the end. So let's have faith in Nigeria project and vote right this time. That is the only change you can make in your own capacity as an ordinary Nigerian.

PoliticsRe: Can ‘Obidient’ Nigerians Surprise Tinubu, Atiku In 2023? by pacespot(m): 11:34am On Jun 16, 2022
LordIsaac:
Karl Marx refer to statements such as these, as utopia. The kind of class consciousness you are referring to cannot be obtained under this current constitution. And for use of force, Ojukwu tried it and over a million people died for it, for nothing!
There is nothing utopia about asking to vote for a candidate that has shown to be an offsetting bet against the political establishment. Voting is the right of every Nigerian above 18 yrs, with mass turnout we are witnessing in the ongoing PVC, this shows that election machinations will be hard for INEC itself. People vote to decide their fate in countries all over the world, this Nigeria presidential election wouldn't be an exception. The voting apathy projected to happen in the North is an indication of people wanting to experience something different from the current administration that has failed across boards. Let's try to have an optimistic view about Nigeria for once.

I wish you can comprehend the enormity of Nigeria's quagmire! You would see that it would be silly for anyone to think that one man can solve it using this 1999 Constitution and through a democratic means. Well, you will get wiser after his first tenure, if he wins.
Naysayers like you only have defeatist mentality. Revolution starts from somewhere, hope you realize that. A small movement can turn bigger if people can troop behind it. Your leaders take you for granted without listening to your cry and suffering because they don't need much of your support during election which is a dirty game of who know how to spend most. But if Nigerians can disgrace them by electing someone without connection to electioneering machinations, this will make your leaders to sit tight and listen to the yearnings of people in future.

Just imagine how Nigerian politicians will start fearing Nigerian masses if Peter Obi is elected as the next president. Obi too can be voted out if he failed to deliver on the promises.

I just hope my Yoruba people can join in this movement and forget ethnic politics and vote Peter Obi. That frogeyed fraud has nothing to offer you, no be Tinubu dey pay your school fees that you will be compelled to vote him because he is Yoruba's. A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for the people, because this shows that people still have power in this country if Peter could win the election. This will send a strong signal to all the unscrupulous politicians in the country, we can also vote Peter Obi out if he disappointed us. Yorùbá, let's join hands with Igbos this time around and vote Peter Obi, after all, Igbos have not produced a president since the end of civil war, this is their time. I am a Yoruba's guy and I am telling you this is the only way to get it right come 2023.

They are trying to imprison the internet.
If you feel offended by certain posts on the internet, it's not a must you must continue watching it.
You can't compell other people not to watch somethings because you don't like it. Una dey craze
That is the core tenet of Islamic terrorists, if they don't like something, you must not also like it or else you will be killed. This Buhari is a full blown terrorist, no cap.
PhonesRe: Twitter, Others Must Delete Porn Posts Within 24 Hours – FG by pacespot(m): 3:16pm On Jun 15, 2022
Nigerians are now facing a full blown jihad war in this Buhari's govt. Twitter doesn't force you to watch porns if you don't like it, you can choose to mute or ban accounts that are posting porns, or better still you can even decide to ban some words or phrases that are associated with pornography from ever showing up in your Twitter timelines. Freedom of choice is what these social interactions are about and the Western democracy stands for.

But I understand that this is against the ethics of Islamic fundamentalism which seek conquest and domination over other people, the truth is that muslims don't believe in human freedom, that is why they always seek policies that will squeeze the people's ability to choose. We are seeing Buhari govt trying to deny Nigerian voters their PVC's.

Thank goodness that countries like India are waking up to the danger of Islamic fundamentalism to human progress, India has taken several serious measures to curtail the excesses of jihadists and Sharia apologists lately and preventing their doctrines from seeping through its country and government.

Help me ask Buhari when is he going to ban corruption in this country huh

PoliticsRe: PVC Collectors Protest Perceived Intimidation And Frustration By INEC In Lagos by pacespot(m): 10:01am On Jun 15, 2022
Black people still need to be under colonialism and/or some tutelage under the Whites. Donald Trump said this that Africa need to be recolonized, some people called him racist. Look at what is going on in Nigeria today, everything is about corruption and serving some vested interests in this country. People come out enmasse in order to perform their civic right/responsibility to vote, they are still being intimidated like this. Isn't this enough reason to show that this government is an illegitimate government if they are trying to sabotage the very process that brings them into power?

Can you believe that a credible election can be conducted under this Buhari's government? And police and other security operatives are complicit in all this crime. The truth is that we don't have Nigerian police but politician police in this country. The police are just serving politicians not Nigerians.

Why are they begging this man, he should be the one begging for this opportunity beckoning on him.
