So now I have just gone back to read it, I have never read any of his investigations, but I have witnessed a lot of what he is investigating and I know these things are true just like many of us know about Nigerian police and extortion, civil servants and bribes and transport and Nepa with hike in prices and hoarding, happens in our country. This is my simple but yet effective solution to this.

Whoever is sincere and wants to rid the country of this bad eggs can do it with a simple solution. VOLUNTEERS!
How? The people who are victims of these ills are mostly ordinary citizens, like you and I. Since its us it affects the most, we can form a big part of the solution.
There should be a platform for us to be able to report extortion, could be an online platforms where we as citizens sign up as volunteers, all we need do if have a report format, where we can send to authorities with pictorial or visual evidence and once this is done the relevant authorities take it up from there. Once several reports are coming in for the same thing and persons over time, it becomes a truth and it should get investigated any officer found wanting faces prosecution.

I bet you if a few scape goats are made, it will go a long way in reducing this corruption and move the country to a saner clime. But this initiative has to be made by the authorities involved. All these investigations no body read and nobody takes it serious.
