Business To BusinessRe: Feasibility Studies On Agro. Export/Cost & Profit Analysis. by page9(m): 3:34pm On Oct 04, 2011
Is this feasibility studies for free or at a cost?
If it's not free, then how much is it?

Secondly, what is d background of d writer? How long has he/she been in this line of business actively?
Pls we need answers to d questions

Manuals alone will not produce d desire effect
Business To BusinessRe: How Can I Turn This Product To Meney Making Venture by page9(m): 10:54pm On Oct 03, 2011
Have you been in dis line of biz before? What's ur years of experience? There is no biz that cannot be started on a small scale. You want to start with 38000 units daily?
Very possible, But do you know how long viju, la casera, fanta etc have been in biz?

Even If you are able to get d N40m you think will b enough to run d biz (according to you).
How much have you saved of your own money?
Theory, biz plan etc are miles apart from practicals and realities.
I have managed different factories producing largely edibles in d last 18yrs and I can tell you from experience that more and more companies are folding up because of the hostile biz environment in nig. The indians are making it partly because they concentrate in certain industries such as plastics, drug importation, chemicals etc because they have association and have people in power to come to their rescue when d need arise.
These oppportunities are not available to average Nigerians.
Pls prepare for d worst while hoping for d best. Don't just b carried away by d figures in ur biz plan
All d best. But rember you can start small and first with your money, people will beg you to take money when d need for expansion arise

BusinessRe: How To Deal In Agric Products From North by page9(m): 9:23am On Oct 02, 2011
Shea butter is available in most part of the south_west states especially in shaki, isehibn etc. It depends on volume you are looking at. If you go on mkt days, you will b able to deal with the real villagers who come from hinterland.
They can sell cheaper and get more volume from their members for you incase you need more than what a single seller can offer
All d best

BusinessRe: What Can You Start Up With N50m To Give You 25% Returns In A Month by page9(m): 9:50pm On Oct 01, 2011
It's very likely that d money belongs to someone else but he he may have temporary access to d money perhaps for a month or 2 before d real owner comes for it. That's my guess based on experience I may b wrong though.

Few years back someone in possession of 15million belonging to his uncle was desperate to make about 33% profit (5m) from d money within a month before d uncle return from his trip abroad. D money was meant for d purchase of steel bars popularly called "iron rods" for a construction project. D uncle is a building contractor and he was d project mgr for dat project, but he lost d entire money to greed and d outcome has brought about serious rift between d family.a word I'd enough for d wise
BusinessRe: Nigeria Spends N24.5Tr On Food Importation Annually by page9(m): 10:15am On Oct 01, 2011
Seun, d issue at stake is not about reaction.
The truth is that we live in hunger in d midst of plenty. Does it take d knowledge of rocket science to know that we can leverage on agriculture and rice production in particular?

We have all it takes to produce rice for both local and global consumption in terms of human, land, climate, financial etc.
But the snag is poor leadership bugs down by corruption. Subsistent Farmers in need of fertilizers pay through their noses to get it .I ordinarily should expect d govt to re-direct d energy of d Nigerian youths towards agriculture by leasing out both lands and modern machineries and farm inputs across Nigeria.
I stand to be corrected that agriculture alone can employ 10times over what d telecoms, banking and oil industries put together.
For those who did Economics as a subject in secondary school will know d law of comparative advantage.Aside from raw crude oil, there is hardly anything we export. It may take a while to develop other sectors but agric sector is our sure way out of porverty. But some pple simply refuse to think about d nation. Insecurity and crimes stems out of idle hands and hungry minds.
Without engaging d youths, we have more to worry about because that in itself will b a good labour market for d criminal-minded people to recruit from.
BusinessRe: Importing Or Exporting: Which Is More Profitable? by page9(m): 11:13am On Sep 30, 2011
For me what stops you from doing both if you can? There are people I know who import electrical items, phone accessories from china and also export solid minerals to asia -Honkong in particular. At a point, d elder brother went to stay in china permanently to coordinate d biz. They have bought a factory in amuwo odofin where they store and label d products in their brand name. My attempt to learn from them has been difficult. But it is do-able especially if you have someone reliable at d other end
BusinessRe: Comandclem Nigeria Limited: My Doubts by page9(m): 10:51am On Sep 30, 2011
Indeed! It is "individual thing" to be stupid.
I have never for once give a thought to d possibility of being a "patentee" as they call themselves. I can't fathom d idea of paying into some bogus acct no in hope for a lifetime income from mobil just because someone claim to have invented one anti-corrosive paint!
It takes a gullible mind to buy into such spurious claim.
If d inventor has problem with Mobil why involve innocent nigerians in his case? These pple were not part of d deal from d beginning. Do you know how many similar cases are being fought in d court? Yet d parties never bother us. Lots of people have been paying into comandclem bank account for several years now nationwide. I won't be suprised if they have realised more money from people than whatever they could ever get from mobil.
For me, I care less whether d case is genuine or not. The difficult part I'm struggling to understand is what are people paying for? To prosecute the case? I doubt it! If his lawyers are convinced that they have a good case, they should deffer payment untill d end of d case for a much greater benefit. I know families who don't have money and want to prosecute land cases share part of the land in lieu of payment to their lawyer(s) after d case is won.
90% of d "patentee" are looking for easy money. As d saying goes "easy money makes you uneasy in d lon run"
Do d "patentee" know how much they've all contributed in total from inception?.What if Mobil wins d case? Isn't it a possibility? I know commandclem office in Ojota, doesn't strike me one bit! There so many questions I would love to ask d so called inventor but I guess I should leave it at that. The patentees may have their hopes dashed in so many ways even if mobil pays. The relationship is not tidy enough,
I can only wish you all d "patentees" d best of lucks, because you really need d lucks badly
BusinessRe: Compact Disc Mass Production by page9(m): 9:51am On Sep 30, 2011
Transerve Disc is ur best bet. They are located very close to Ijesha B\stop by amuwo odofin bypass. You will get all d info you require there. Most celebrities(artiste) come around there regularly. I work nearby there ofiz so I don't know jack about d biz so don't bother to ask me for details. The problem is most Nigerians are lazy about finding info themselves, they want someone to do it for them. If that's ur thinking, you may end up with a consultant who would have charged you directly or indirectly.
Therefore, I urge you to go find out d details for urself
Best of lucks

BusinessRe: Recharge Card Distributorship. by page9(m): 8:48am On Sep 30, 2011
It used to be profitable way back. Now, it's a different ball game. Was a dealer in 2001 to both MTN and Econet as it was known then. Some existing dealers are even loosing part of their investment because d magin is terribly low and if you have overheads that is spread all over it may not be funny. Most dealers now add sim card replacement to augment d bottom line.
On those offering seminar, ask them for their shops where they operate from and pay a visit there, you'll b shocked that 95% of them have failed in d rcharged card biz. They don't have any existing biz, they only survive on seminar. Ask questions and watch their response.
However, I don't discourage pple. I'm only putting d reality on d table. The fact remains that you'll only b working for d telecom companies. Period!
You may want to ask "Why are people still doing it? The best people to answer d question will b those who are still in d biz, so whoever is interested in d biz can seek one of the dealers in his neighbourhood. My investigation shows that most are groaning seriously and are looking for alternative businesses they could do. It's just like someone not satisfied with his employer complaining bitterly about his work. If you ask him why don't you leave the work? He would tell you he is still. There because he hasn't gotten a new job yet, so he needs dis one in d interim.
Some of us took d plunge and leave d mess for others. Life is about choices

Greed is d hallmark of unrealizable expectation. At 25% profit per month! That will be 300% or 150Mill profit on 50M per year! What you are seeking is similar to Nospetco kind of return and if u're not careful, you may end up like those who sought Nospetco.

D developed world charges below 2% per annum. Softly Softly o!

Business To BusinessRe: Agro/ Food Product Suppliers Wanted by page9(m): 3:12pm On Sep 08, 2011
You may not b able to attract anyone if you don't tell them what's in it for them.
For instance, I as a partner based in lagos will like to know how do I know how much profit we make per transaction?
How much % profit should I expect weekly, monthly etc?
What guaranty do I have that I will not b short-changed?
Most people have had lots of nasty experiences in d past.
And as d saying goes "You get wiser based experience"
BusinessRe: How To Deal In Agric Products From North by page9(m): 12:41pm On Sep 08, 2011
It's understandable. "Whatever you don't know could b dangerous indeed"
Ignorance is extremely dangerous. Even knowledge could also b dangerous if wrongfully applied.
It all depends.
As for me, I don't think d biz is dangerous as long as it is handled by d experts who do it everyday.
I'm based in Mile 12 -d biggest mkt for foodstuff in Nigeria.
I am interested in d business but I cannot do d selling in lagos and still travel to d north to do d buying. Secondly, getting honest people seems almost impossible. That is d major clog I have in my case
But for those who have reliable and honest pple at either selling or buying end can make a success of d biz

InvestmentRe: Many People Lost Money In Nigerian Stock Market And The Way Forward by page9(m): 7:29pm On Sep 02, 2011
@stockexper
After your admission of monumental failure and casualties in d stock market, you are still looking for old and fresh muguns to burn more of their fingers or perhaps their entire bodies?
You remind me of an old Gambler in my area in d early 90's, each time he gambled and lost money, when he was adviced to desist from gambling, he would swear by his mother's grave that he would recover his money big time (1000 fold). He died of in penury and was struck by stroke, after loosing all he had worked for all his life including his 2-storey building on lagos island.
His children are still cursing him till date.

The lesson here is that only a fool will not leave d stage when d ovation is loudest. D wise will always know when to leave.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Removal Is A Slap To The Face Of The Average Nigerian - My Analysis by page9(m): 9:55pm On Sep 01, 2011
@Beaf
Given d past experiences especially during Obasanjo era, you don't need to b schooled to know d. govt mind.
You may wake up tommorow morning and behold! The new pump price of pms is now N150!
While I'm very hopeful about d distant future of nigeria and nigerians,
However,I will b foolish to expect any meaningful changes from these "Vagabonds in Power" as Fela will put it.
Less than one percent of Nigerians are holding d rest of us to ransome.
The same set of people are every where and in charge of every facet of our economy buying every public asset for peanut under d guise of privatisation. As a thank you gift for those who donated to PDP during election, they needed to recoup their investment by acquiring public assets at a give away price. D wrath of God shall descend on all of them.
Meanwhile, we  may need to adopt Ghana-like revolution to get back our sanity
BusinessRe: Who Knows About Forever Living Products? by page9(m): 3:21pm On Sep 01, 2011
While I don't have problem with pple making easy money, I am usually alarmed when someone is promising millions to be made in a biz with little or no efforts.
The truth of d matter is that some smart guys are playing on d prevailing poverty in d land as well as d ignorance of pple to exploit them.
I'm sure dupsy has been told about "pakam"?

Most people will like to have millions of naira paid into his/ her account every month without lifting a finger!

The greed in most of us expose us to d Point of loosing d little we have.

Pyramid scheme is not meant to favour d majority but if you know how yuo can reach d peak, then I can only wish you d best of luck

My submission is not meant for dupsy alone because there are 1000 and one people who are contemplating going into similar networking scheme.

If you could recall, few years back there were so many of them. Now, their patronage have. Greatly reduce.
I remember in those early days of GNLD, Gbagada used to be a no go area on days that distributors were being hosted but these days, its a shadow of itself.
Ask yourself, in an economy like ours would you buy a product you do not really need or you can get affordable alternatives to?
Yet you must buy d product every month whether or not you have sold d previous month's stock or not. All in d name of "promised bogus commission"
The delusion of millions in commissions tends to over ride our sense of reasoning especially in an attempt to get new members people tends  paint a rossy picture to lure others in.
D bulk of pple who were unable to make anything out of their investment simply walk away unnoticed while d very few lucky ones make all d noise to high heaven
In case you are thinking of joining such scheme, pls do your homework very well, don't b carried away by d noise look at d issues involved objectively.
Best of luck to you all
BusinessRe: Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Loan? by page9(m): 7:02am On Aug 26, 2011
Why would you take loan to rent an office? If you're a start up, then why don't you look for an existing ofiz you Can use untill you grow ur biz to b able to pay and maintain such an ofiz.
May b we can advice you better if u can reveal more about ur biz intentions and challenges.
Don't put d cart before d horse. Ofiz is expensive to rent and maintain especially when d business is not firmly rooted.
You might think ur biz idea will hit d ground running while d opposite may b d case.
You can survive better if you limit your exposure to heavy overheads

@bro856
To start with, if indeed you have 10hectares of palm fruits fully matured waiting for havest. Then you are a multi-millionaire in digits above N20m or more. If your land has proper title then, it shouldn't b difficult to get loan from a bank if you have trully gotten 10hectares of matured palm fruits as you have claimed. Secondly, you can approach Nig. Industrial Development Bank (NIDB)for loan with a well packaged biz plan.
Furthermore, you are not being realistic with yourself on d cement biz.
If I can buy 10 truckload of cement which Is about N13milion,then buy a. Flat bed trailer of about N5million.
Everything comes to about N18m do you think I can not do d biz without you?
Why would I invest such money in a stranger? Would you? Do not think only you know where to get cement cheap.
Instead of growing gradually with what you have, you expect anybody to dump so money on ur lap.
Go and start d cement biz wih half trailer with ur money first and grow with it.
