Investment › Re: How Credible Is Adron Homes & Property? by pak: 12:18am On Apr 05, 2025 |
So 5 years down the line from my initial comment it is only fair for me to give an update on my experience with Adron and I daresay it has not been rosy at all. I have been trying to dispose the land for 3 years now and I have not been able to get a buyer due to several factors connected with how Adron operates. In fact, they offer no assistance whatsoever if you try to sell off their lands and it is incredibly difficult to sell on your own because the land documents and title are usually with Adron. To put things in perspective, the naira today has lost up to four/five times its value as at the time I bought it. That means 1M then would be worth about 4/5M now but guess what, I have plaxed the Land in sale for even 2 or 3 times the amount I bought and still no buyer. It's a crazy situation really pak: Those hidden charges are often not so hidden...
It's actually on their website if you bother to check and on the contract document you're given after payments.
I am more interested in buying as a hedge against inflation and by my experience, their lands appreciate relatively fast. |

Bayajjidda: What do you mean by impact of NGO is huge on the economy? Can you explain that?
Most of these NGOs especially supposedly leader go around sleeping with different ladies, promising them jobs. They don't mind employing ladies that are not qualified and compent to lead those that are competent, so long they will be getting regular sex dosage. The immorality I witnessed there is out of this world. I mean the town is flush with NGO/AID money, The sector is one of the biggest employer of white collar jobs aside Govt. They also form one of the biggest patrons for hotels, conferences and other hospitality providers. I am curious to see how the suspension of AID money will affect the economy of Maiduguri as a whole |

Tattara holds an unforgettable memory for me. The town is along the Abuja - Keffi - Jos road. Not too far from Keffi.
That was the location where I had my only serious accident till date. It was so bad that when I came out of the car, the people that came to help where asking me who was in the car, they couldn't believe someone in the crash can come out with his two feet on his own.
The road has been inaccessible to travellers for almost two years now due to the activities of bandits and criminals.

Zege7716: Benin ancestry is not Yoruba, it's only the Oba's ancestry that comes from there. The mistake people make is to think that the King and the people share common ancestry. Some of these Kingship came about about by conquest and not necessarily by being indigenous. This is profound. A people's ancestory might not be the same as their king's ancestry. In Adamawa state, the Modibbo Adama family are Fulani conquerors who are not native to the region |

Kobojunkie: How exactly do you expect the government to go back after it has literally embezzled (and mismanaged the rest) the funds that many have saved from the removal of subsidy, money(in addition to that saved from reducing government bloat) would have sensibly gone to implementing and sustaining Safety Net programs for the poor and disenfranchised? ► Even with all the looting, NNPCL came up with a $6 Billion hole which it probably expected to continue looting Nigerians to pay for. So, where money dey? ►Where do you expect the government to get money to reinstate fuel subsidies of the kind that existed before the May 29th, 2023 debacle? At this point, why? I am replying to this, as a bookmark. Cos the post is the true position |

Politics › Re: Enugu Revenue Agency Introduces Single Tax Payment, Eliminates Multiple Taxation by pak: 2:41pm On Oct 23, 2024 |
immortalcrown: The unfriendliness of the taxation system lies in the tax rate (the total amount an individual pays yearly) and how you use the tax, not in the divisions of the tax.
10 different taxes that amount to 1,000 Naira yearly are better than a single tax that amounts to 5,000 Naira yearly.
So, does your e-ticket reduce the amount an individual pays as yearly tax and ensure prudent spending of the taxes? If not, be sincere to say that your concern is not about the taxpayers but about collecting all the money from the untrustworthy tax collectors you deploy.
As you introduce the single tax system, be accountable as well. May God help your administration to serve well. You make a point but one of the disadvantages of multiple taxation is that it gives room for fraud especially when dealing with poorly educated informal sector. It is easier to slot in an illegal levy when traders are already paying up to 10 or 20 different taxes |

Kobojunkie: Your government is playing on you all the same game that IBB played on Nigerians during SAP. IBB lied that he was busy implementing SAP reforms when in fact he was instead busy looting Nigeria's oil money and blaming all the suffering that resulted on SAP and IMF. This present government is, however, busy looting Nigeria's resources— since they don loot the money finish— while it continues to lie to you that it is working on reforms on which it then has you blaming your sufferings on. This is a perfect analysis that I have been doing my best to drum in the head of people I talk to. The problem is not then reforms, it is the fact that the Govt of the day are using it as a smokescreen for looting the country's resources. OBJ also carried out IMF aligned reforms and things didn't turn out half as bad as this |

dkidd: Lol very funny but not funny. Truth is, It's not even enjoyable most times and they happen mostly with those girls with no strings who happen to be trying for themselves. Like when they know ur financially down they show up for u but it's never free. For example, I have had a girl who was just a fwb give me over 200k to add to my rent way back then when I first came to Lagos and things slow. She was also giving me some careless 20k, 15k, 10k or her ATM card to put for pocket whenever she observes I can't go out and chill I thought it was love at first but I paid dearly. Sex whenever she pleases, whether I'm in the mood or not and she loves getting head too and I can't even turn it down... My tongue suffered. Na then I discovered most of these girls wicked, they just have innocent, pretty face. And if she catches me with another girl na serious war. I done trade dick just to eat food for Abj back then when real mature sapa show for my dormot. All this one had to do was just cook and bring with sk smoke and Tm's that year with McDowell if the day good for her. Some times she comes to cook in my place and while she's in the kitchen she drops the drugs in the room for me to start.... different pills and shii...I knew I was being exploited but what can I do until small money touch my hand again I go free from her control. She almost got me fvcked up one time when she invited me over to her house. After everything, got high af and fvcked all night only for her Airforce sugar daddy to show up around 2:00 AM to take her out. she had to lock me in till she came back around 10 next morning. I have seen shege with these 304's too This, gracias |
