Here is my story and the latest happening in my life, probably some may learn from it after getting this information because information is a vital tool. I once work as a sale rep in a big collection store within the federal capital, earning 40k monthly and some little cash for t.p every day depending on how the market of the day goes, something now lead to another, i got transfered from that particular branch to another. The manager in the new branch was a very stingy and selfish person that care only about her self, any time that a customer show us love with cash, she don't remit at all, She always claim the money was transfer to the company's account so she can't do anything about it.
one night, the two of us were on our way home because she usually drop me off at berger juntion before we embark on our separate ways... I let her know the formal branch i work in Ademola adetukumbo, sometime we were been shown love to enable us beat down transport by the manager which even the GM is aware. She told me that i should calm down that business in her own branch is different from the other one, when i know we make more money in the new branch, she always take my commission which the Gm promise each branch managers to remit to each surbodinate and add to hers.
I got paid that month then i tender my resignation letter to the headquater, i resign because if i should check and balance the 40k i was been paid will not cover my transport and feeding, light bill, and other house things, before i was posted to the new branch, at my other branch transport money was there sometimes but the new branch nothing at all i just have to depend on my salary alone.

Why i typed this now, i have been home now for the pass two month without a job because i saw a post on nairaland, on how a guy left his average job in Lagos and went back to the village because he couldn't cope with his little wage in town, later got a good one in the village..... I just realize that what work for A might not work for B despite they said no gut no glory
Now, am jobless and i cant go back there and don't want to go back there, what a life.

You didn't make a mistake, you're just going through a difficult period.

Gone are the days where people believed mental health problems can only happen to some people. It is brought about by some form of stress and can happen to pretty much anyone, even the president of of united states. So rather than sit ashamed of it, it is when tackled as one would, and other ailment that needs curing.

If you truly love your gal, you would support her mentally and physically so she can get help for the problem and hopefully move past it in order that she can enjoy life and relationship both.

Well that's if she sees as a problem big enough to seek professional help for.

Market forces particularly the forces of demand and supply control prices. Governments that tries to control prices end in tragedy, leading to hoarding, scarcity and black markets.

Government should focus on making it easier for suppliers to get to the market. The process should be faster and cheaper. A boost in supply will always push prices down

Most property selling companies in Nigeria have hidden charges which they will not disclose to you until you have made a substantial payment which will then make it difficulty for you to back out.

Please ask them to give you a list of all possible charges before you commit yourself to the property

Those hidden charges are often not so hidden...

It's actually on their website if you bother to check and on the contract document you're given after payments.

I am more interested in buying as a hedge against inflation and by my experience, their lands appreciate relatively fast.

I am not absolving your neighbour but something similar happened to my LG TV when I bought it about 5 years ago.

I used it for a month and it started to malfunction, when I took it back to Fouani, they admitted that there was a circuit that usually go bad in some of the TV so much that they imported a large number of replacement circuits just to be able to attend to complaints quickly.

Anyway, they fixed the TV for free and I am still using it today.
if it is still under warranty, just take it back to the retailer

That shouldn't be a problem.

Your issue now is with the Payment Processor who received the funds and the collecting bank.

Just let them know, you didn't receive value for your payments and request a refund/reversal.


Part of the agreement a payment processor signs with a merchant is that customers reserve the right to receive refunds of their money whenever they do not get value for their payments

Let me say it's my greed just that man is so so broke and I needed money for urgent reason, (my baby medicals tomorrow)

the app is fake unknown to me so I downloaded it from playStore. and I got registered just like normal app.

first as I keyed in my number to register and the otp code should be sent to my number as sms but the app generated the otp code automatically (First red flag but ignored). I filled in all my details with atm card info, all.

I continued every and the offered many options there. what triggered my application was they offered loan of 30k to be paid back in 120days was what captivated my mind.

so at the dying stage I was a little surprised when they said they amount i wanted to borrow which is the 30k is something blah blah blah that I will have to make a deposit of 2088 for genuine interest and verification that it would be deducted from my loan when paying (second red flag but ignored also)

my mumu me quickly keyed in my atm card details which is the pin and ccv all.

immediately I got the debit alert and going back to the app, it started to misbehave.

first I can't edit or delete my atm details, it's there on the app as default.

no loan offer options anymore. in fact after the payment sef they were even referring people to other genuine loan app as their corporate bodies.

I tried to screenshot the app, no way. says it's protected. I tried to do screen recording it's just dark, nothing. I tried to minimize and screenshot from therr, no way.

they even put timing on the app page like when the time elapsed they can't give the loan again I guess it's just to make people hurry to make the payment.

this is a well worked scam and I know it's not only me that will be a victim.

My fear is my atm card details are still on the app as default I can't even do anything about it which means that the account would be monitored and any money that comes in now is gone, immediately! So tomoro am blocking the ATM card at the office or does anyone know how I can block the card with someone's phone? I will appreciate with the info abeg.

@ OP, you can still recover your funds back and more if you want.

They must have used a payment processor to deduct your funds. As per CBN directives, payment processors are mandated to carry out KYC on their customers.
You can contact the payment processor involved (from your account statement, it seems to be Interswitch) and report that you have been defrauded by one their merchants and ask for a reversal of your funds.

Two things will happen, they'll either implement the reversal (After verification) or refer you to the acquiring bank of the merchant, who can obligate the merchant to refund you once they confirm a fraud has taken place.

And if you have the stomach for more trouble, you can actually involve Lawyers and Police and that way, you might end up getting even more than they deducted for the distress they caused you

It reminds me of my service year. That year was the most miserable year of my short life as, like you I'm an introvert and I couldn't relate with the locals as they were housewives and cocoa farmers who barely spoke English. Other corp members were a bit of a distance from the village where I resided so I was always alone, battling goats and talking aloud to myself. In that village I realized why goats are called 'stubborn', was toasted by almost every walking male, and of course, for the first time discovered it would be very easy to have multiple boyfriends. But if you have limited funds, then you might as well save that amount to get a good laptop.

There are lots of free resources online that can get you on the way and you can also apply for unpaid internship at IT companies where you can observe what real software development process is like.

Been to Obudu ranch, fantastic place. However, it's definitely not a place to go alone. Since it's always scanty except during festive season.

And depending on where you are, a 100k budget might be enough for Obudu per person.


Kenya is one of the most fascinating locations for me but I am looking forward to climbing the Kilimanjaro so I'm saving for it - you'll need about 2M for that - and I'm push Kenya/Tanzania till then, hopefully in 2022.
